first of all its not illegal. Only way it wouldn't be legal is if they were stolen (which they're not) or if you don't have a permit, which in most cities is 20 or 30 bucks. It is not legal to conduct business without a business permit and lic. So yes, 99% of these guys are out here with none of that and are hawking their wares on privately owned property upon which they are tresspassing.

Besides that they show people a magazine with a fake dollar value of the speaker set and generally misrepresent how they got the speakers, which is fraudulent.

So legality aside, the people who do this are immoral, unethical slime balls. Not saying I wouldn't do it...;)

You are right about a few things. Half right about conducting business without a business license. No speaker guy hands out receipts so there's no way to prove income. There is a law that if you make under a certain amount of money you don't have to have one. Also the manufacturer produces the speakers for exactly what we do so they can set any price on the speakers they want. How can it be a "fake" dollar value if on their website it's the same price.

OK one more note. Do you really think that when car salesmen advertise "huge overstock" or any other bullshit they say is true? Of course not, it's a sales pitch.
