  • You're Wrong. :)

  • Alexander was not a Greek he was a Macedonian.

  • @ThePeterlockhart

Thanks for noting that. At any rate the text of Arda Viraf calls Alexander a Roman, which of course he was not. This is the key to dating the book to the 3rd or 4th century of the common era. And all of the ideas and doctrines within the book of Arda Viraf such as hell, angels, etc., could very well be dated to the 3rd or 4th century as well.

  • In 539 B.C. the great Persian king Cyrus conquered Babylon. His government was a Zoroastrian theocracy. Cyrus had a history of pretending to adopt a religion and then subverting it.

Not only did the Persian kings select the Jewish high priests, Persian Magi even masqueraded as Jewish Priests (Isaiah 66:21). The Pharisees had all the positions of power, gave the law, and wrote the holy books. Some Jews like Ezra and Daniel (Daniel 6:1-2) were paid agents of the Persians.

  • @Jhaub420 Ezra-- and don't forget Zerubabel. The 'ZR' in his name also is the same as that in Zoroaster's.

The fact is that 'Judaism' did not exist until Cyrus. It's all mythical retro-history written or cobbled together after the Persian period, much of it in Hellenistic times and in the time of the Maccabees.

What did exist was Semitic pagan polytheists the Zoroastrian holy warriors imposed their political-religious will upon, in the satrapy they called, interestingly enough, Yehud.

  • @HasbaraMatata

Brother, you speak the truth!!! May all the people who seek truth understand this truth. Judaism did not exist before babylonian exile

  • These historians and scholars date the life of Zoroaster as being 1000BC.

    see, e.g., Boyce, 1975-82, I, pp. 190-91; Duchesne-Guillemin, pp. 135-38; Gnoli, 1980, pp. 159-79; Henning; Hertel; Herzfeld; Jackson, 1896; Klima, 1959; Shahbazi, 1977 and 2002).

  • the gatha's are written in language that was no longer spoken by the people who created it in 800b.c.e. with the language its self being used from 1500-1000 b.c.e.

it is also in the gatha's that we get the monothiestic ideals of asura mazda in zoroastrianism

  • lovecraftfan311, it is speculation that the Gatha's are dated to around 1000 BCE, and there is no archeology during 800 BCE which contains the exact lauguage of the Avesta. In fact none of the lands spoken of in the Avesta can be confirmed by archeology and none of the kings mentioned in the Avesta can be confirmed from the period of 800 BCE. Regarding monotheism, this is the weakest of arguments because it is a universal concept which can be developed independantly in both cultures.

  • linguist date the text of the Gathas to 1,000b.c.e. with the particular dialect already being "dead" by 800b.c.e., the speculation would be to say its older, they know what dialect was used in 800bce, isnt the same

regarding monotheism, archeological evidence shows paganism being predominate in israel untill after the exile. after the exile the jews come back with ideas about god such as omnipresence,etc.. things which didn't exist in the discriptions of El prior to the exile. their is no evi

  • lovecraftfan311,

See part 14 of this video series where I address the linguistic dating problems.

There is no archeology which proves Israel was polytheistic, only scholarly speculation.

    Peace to you.

  • please make this video available again. as a practising gathic zoroastirians, we are very curious about what you have to say.

Yasna 30: "To all people who want wisdom, here are the words that God, the wise creator, told me. These are the songs of God Almighty. . . These words, to you, will be like a bright light, that will help you see everything in the true way it really is."

  • Thanks for your comment. Can you please clarify what you mean by, "...make this video available again." I don't understand what your asking.
