  • U suck. Seriously.

  • @pillsareyummy that's great that you have an opinion and I respect that. I however haven't heard/seen anyone else who kept my attention.

  • You truly do not understand the message of, "Born This Way". It was intended for those who weren't strong enough to say who they were. It was for those poor weak kids to be able to say, "Hey, fuck it. I was born this way, I'm beautiful, you're beautiful, and all of us are beautiful." Not just a mindless drone saying be who you are, for example, "We R Who We R". And although I disagree with your opinion, I have to say, good job. So ballsy of you!

P.S gay teens don't usually have lisps.

  • @JennifersXBody It really doesn't matter as long as the music is good... the music on this album is pretty shitty.

  • Haha,brilliant mate

  • you suck

  • There is no dubstep on Born this way, the closest to dubstep BTW gets is judas.

  • @mattroza11 EXACTLY >.< That's what I thought... What? There ain't no dubstep on this album ^^"...

  • who are you to tell people who they are? hopefully you find love in your heart sometime in your life.

  • "If you become a sheep, then you're nobody." LOL hysterical! Fun review!

  • I thought Lady Gaga was monumentally creative and groundbreaking, peaking with The Fame Monster. I think born this way takes a several steps back on that front. Still catchy but falling into a sound us children of the 80's are all to fimailar with. At least Clarence got to put his magic touch of sax on Edge of glory.

  • Hair

  • @Therolando I respect your opinion it is the most creative whether you believe it or not I'm a huge country and rock fan but beside the music they play what creativity is there ? And what they know for?? Honestly pop is free gaga is amazing because of her creativity pop can do anything from ballads to dance numbers, to breathtaking theatrical performances I disagree with you and agree with you pop music nowadays majority of it is horrible but gaga puts heart in her music listen to you and I or

  • @TheFashionista27 muahahah sry but i just listen to "judas"....and i have to ask..."she puts heart into her music"? theres nothing new to her sound..there are thousands of dj's that make similar and much better sound than her..she just brought the electro-club scene into pop and called it her own..her voice has no soul at all...she builds her songs after pretty simple, old fashioned, predictable structures..and after all...shes more famous for her appearance than her music...nuff said

  • Painkiller best album with an motorcycle on it.

  • @HellsAsylum Actually there, metelhead, slow down. I believe it was the Black World Dude that had the problem with my opinion first.

  • @BloggingNickster Metal* Youmad?

  • This dude is hilarious!!

  • @BlackMetalWorld A little touchy to the subject of being a loser, are you?

  • @BloggingNickster A little butthurt over the fact that not everyone shares the same opinion as you are we?

  • Yess I do understand some of what ur saying but the part when u said u should already love you for you yes that's right but with people lik u in society it's hard for slot of people caus there always being judge and sorry to say your wrong about pop music is very creative in act it's the most creative genre especially when it come to the type of song, performing, videos, as for gaga it theatrically and sorry again to say I see a pink flood sign in ur room I hate to say it but majority of all r

  • @TheFashionista27 I would have to disagree that pop is the most creative. I would say quite the opposite really. All these 'artists' see what songs are making the big buck and they try to follow suit. For example, look at what dubstep has done recently....it is pretty bad. Everyone is having dubsetp influence...very creative. The lyrics are also like reading a children book, extremely generic and blan. The structure of songs is also the same every time basically, ABABCA. This is just my opinion.

  • Oh my goodness, you are a complete dumb ass. Oh and by the way, Born This Way sold 1.2 Million (highest sales since 2005) in its first week and has sold over 5 million worldwide since its release. Edge of darkness? GTFO.

  • THANK YOU!!! THIS VIDEO IS SO AWESOME!!!!(I am making a comment to coverkillernation not to any of you, im not looking for an anrgument I have better things to do)haha that kinda rhymed

  • Dear God you are so damn Pretentious...

  • "Edge of Darkness"??? Yea you listened to the album alright.

  • Why are you hating on songs like "Born This Way" that express the meaning of self love when you're one that's the total loser?

  • @BloggingNickster yeah couse youre the one who decides on whos a loser and who not? Just fuck off hipster bitch

  • @BloggingNickster Why wouldn't he put down a song with lyrics and a theme we have all heard millions of times? Coverkillerman knows his shit, I know that becuase I'm an actuall musician that puts my heart, soul and passion into music. I listen to musicians that do the same, and that is why I don't listen to Pop or Dubstep or any of that top 40 junk. Anyway, if you are a fan of "Born This Way", that is fine, we have different opinions. Everyone has different opinions so stop flipping out.

  • Also LOL to thinking that it has to do with hollywood cuz its all about New York.

  • Topics such as America? government? This review is completely useless because it seems as if you haven't even bothered to listen to the lyrics of the songs.

  • i loved it but everyone is different i guess...

  • A little harsh much? You didnt even talk about the good parts of the album.

  • @FearTheTristen there are no good parts on this album

  • Women can't do anything innovative at all anymore, they will always cling to what is familiar and ubiquitous, but it seems they are all for visual extravagance and have no limitations when it comes to being enshrined & abused generation after the next, they all seem to follow the program without a second thought. It seems like the powers that be need to keep women in shackles in order to keep business booming and we allow it to go unabated!

gaga is nothing more than tacky processed bolognia

  • No one right now is trying to do 80s rip offs. The vocals are among the best for a pop dance album. If you dont like the album, its fine. not your thing i get it but try to be more open minded...

ps i like your fleet foxes poster. im a fan

  • She really trys to do things other artists are afraid to do. The song Born This Way has a pretty generic message. But unlike Kesha, Katy, Selena she actually gets to the point. She doesnt try to cover up the message with a cheesy metaphor like 'firework'. She puts a sax in her songs, adds acoustics parts to most of the songs. She isnt trying to sell anymore. She wants to stand out. I guess you can say attention whore but not as bad as brittney spears. the album is very original for todays music

  • I agree with the chord progression. its practically the same in every song on the album. Not a bad thing though. On the message, its not so much of 'GaGa thinks its okay to be me' but more of a 'this is who the fuck i am'. The album cover, in my opinion, was great. I never seen it before. Born This Way does have an 80s 90s feel to it because she wanted this album to be her. during The Fame/Monster she was trying to get a fan base but not really her stuff.

  • That chord progression you described? The I-V-IV-VI chord progression? Search "Four Chord Song" in youtube. That chord progression's just a part of the pop formula which has replaced, y'know, creativity.

  • Okay- So I can understand where you are coming from. But you should type in to the search bar "Lady GaGa Hollywood" and watch that video of her playing with her old band. So if you don't like the album whatever- but you cant say shes not a good musician.

  • I have a hard time actually believing you would ever willingly give ANY pop record a good review. Even if it was good.

  • My friend, you're exactly fucking correct - Dubstep and Pop music in general is fucking ruining the music industry in terrible ways. I would not have fucking reviewed this shit if I were you, but heads up for doing it dude - how did you put up with the shit for as long as you did!? I would have fucking curled up and died. This pop culture bullshit needs to die, it should never have happened and has killed music as we once knew it... and it's stopped metal from getting further forward...

  • @mortiis1976 fuck you dubstep is gnarly.

  • I think reviewers of today are just too forgiving. They seem to accept everything that comes to them from a popular artist and just write a horribly rushed review without researching its background or focusing on what's popular to notice whether something is generic or not.

  • You, sir, are a fine man.

  • You're funny and this review is spot on.

  • I don't even bother with this pop crap anymore, it's all the same recycled shit again and again and people will just keep eating it up until the next thing comes along and Lady Gaga is just old news.

  • @tokiohotelx3er yeah, i think i'll stick to reviewing whatever i feel like reviewing. its not ignorant, the album is just terrible.

  • Comment removed

  • @tokiohotelx3er The fact that it's "impressive" that a pop star writes her own music isn't something to be praised, rather we should be pissed at the mainstream music labels that allow people who can't write a damn song to make millions as a musician.

  • @tokiohotelx3er Some Gaga fans even say the albums shit lol

  • @tokiohotelx3er What's your problem ya grump? If you watched the vid you can clearly see he didn't review the album in a biased way at all. Secondly if an artists should be recognized for writing their own music...... well that's sad. That's nothing special at all.

Also, nothing you said refutes his opinions in this video very well at all, you just sound like an angry fan who can't deal with a good argument that's opposed to your opinion.

  • @DoubleO711 i actually wasn't planning on replying to this, but here i go. I don't care about this anymore to be honest; i raged about this months about when it came out. i'll be honest with, i am an angry who loved the album and didn't want to listen to what he said because I honestly irritates me. i don't like hearing negative things about the things i like because it feels like something i personally created is getting torn apart. it may not make sense to you but it does to me.

  • @DoubleO711 i will say this though. no one in the pop mainstream industry makes their own music anymore. it's completely rare, so it is saying something to say "i make my own music from scratch" i actually giggled when you called a grumpy though so thanks for that.

  • @tokiohotelx3er Although your comment is old, I did want to say this: Gaga, like most modern pop stars, is to art, as a Big Mac is to food...

  • This is the world that we live in. Where the stuipid masses regard anything out of the ordinary as inventive. Great, so she wears a telephone for a hat or a dress made of meat, and that makes her a genius?! I think I'll stick to bands like Opeth and Death. Bands who have skill, awareness, intelligence and integrity. Bands who actually see this human existence for what it is.

  • @xAsThePalacesBurnx lol as the palaces burn ..

  • Comment removed

  • Waste of bandwith and she isn't even hot. At least Madonna back in the day was sexy. Lady Gaga borders on a anorexic parody of Madonna.

  • I love pop music. Like jesus and mary chain, the drums, new order, depeche mode. BUT WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? cmon guys, this sucks. Everybody shoud hate this. And if you dont then,,, well opdjbhodilsnotermdgfsæ

  • the album was not as bad as u make it to be. edge of darkness lol!! o and there was no dub- step in the album ahhahaa........ but for each its own.

  • Born this way infuriated me in a way somewhat different to what you're saying. She's saying "I was born this way", and yet she was NOT born the way she acts now. She is trying her HARDEST to REMOVE the way she was born. She's going bald from the amount of dye she puts in her hair. In other words, she's a self loathing hypocrite who made the most terribly hypocritical song I can think of.

  • lol at the people who say you have no knowledge of music

  • @nivramrelyt Agreed, I learnt a shitload of new information about music from this channel. A vast array of music knowledge.

  • wow, way to be a pretentious douchebag

this album was good, quit being too cool to like this music

i can tell you have no real knowledge of music and chord progressions, you didnt even talk about the music, you just bitched about it being to electronic for you

btw, this record doesnt even have dubstep

  • thanks for not freaking-the-fuck out

hard to listen when you are yelling at the top of your lungs lol

  • Glad to see someone cut this overhyped overblown album down to size. Your point about the 'Born This Way' catchphrase was spot-on. As a metal-fan myself I was particularly offended when the song "Heavy Metal Lover' didn't have Yngwie Malmsteen on it.

  • I refuse to listen to this after my cousin told me seriously that Lady Gaga is the most talented artist out there right now and that she is so much more talented than that no talent screaming stuff you listen to! I didn't even try to argue with her it wasn't worth it.

  • I was expecting you to shout again! :(

    Too bad

  • I admit, I gave the whole album a listen. My ears were bleeding the whole way until the song electric chapel. Which I admit I am actually quite fond of. But after that it was back to ears bleeding. I'll stick to listening to Orchid or Dusk And Her Embrace thank you very much. =)

  • I hate it... I ave not heard it but i hate it

  • many great points in this video. respect.

  • THANK YOU!! My friend loves this crap and thinks metal sounds awful. Coming from him...

  • LOL didn't realize you said 'Edge Of Darkness' xD

  • i love this review so much

  • as sad as it may be i bought her first album becase of just dance and its ok but i hate her stuff now and my friend just got me in to dub step and good techno and trance music so no i will not buy any of her albums for as long as i live

  • edge of darkness is an awesome song!!!!!!!!! xfactor rules iron maiden all the way

(thumbs up if you understood the joke)

  • lmao. the dude reviewd a pop album? xD

  • it's like you don't wanna take lady gaga too seriously because she's a fuckin joke, she thinks she's artistic and shit and her pathetic attempt to shock people is just stupid. If she really wants to shock I hope she lets a horse fuck her to death on stage..that would be cool

  • Lady Gaga is just another Madonna wannabe ripoff.

  • Its just your typical run-of-the-mill suburban middle-class teenybopper tripe. If I had an itch for this schtick I would pick up a greatest hits package by Madonna, who did it first and better imo.

  • With artwork like that I'd see it and think its some kind of BDSM audio porn.

  • @MrCannibalSpork XD LAMO!

  • @navebucketdude Dude!

Haven't heard from you in ages! xD

  • @MrCannibalSpork i know man i have to get away from the computer for a few weeks. i had a trolling problem. i was trolling people on facebook 24/7......they got really pissed at me.

  • i just love to punch who ever bought that shit album right into the motherfuckin face

  • Sorry, but i first i thought it would be a good idea to have the music reviewing community review pop music, but after seeing a bunch of reviews of this album, except a few... and some to come. It's all just so generic and honestly, bitching about mainstream media is getting boring.

  • @jgil1966 agreed. we know its bad. but i think the allure is trying to figure out why other people don't see it. almost like a sociological experiment. however, this quickly has become a pointless experiment because, as i mentioned in the description, you cannot really place reasoning on the fickle nature of culture.

  • @coverkillernation Honestly i think the reason i like it, it's because of how well the album is produced cause it doesn't sound like your generic pop music, specially the RedOne tracks, he really knows how to handle this woman's talents and sound. Surprisingly, for edgy pop music, some of the songwriting is actually good, for example The Edge Of Glory or Hair, have some honest sounding verses, like if she actually means it. I didn't think the album was all that dubby, but more 80's influenced.

  • @jgil1966 the production is so clean that it is blinding me. But it's lady gaga, madonna wannabe that relies on shock value. she has talent but does she use it NO! it's a let down, it's watered down, it's plastic, it's gaga.

  • blah blah blah, this album sucks blah blah, it's annoying, blah blah blah autotune blah blah blah gaga is a dude blah blah.

  • @jgil1966 yes, the album sucks.

  • @coverkillernation lol, well that's just your opinion. At least admit there is far worse stuff than this. And i don't believe the hype has been as huge as the critics have been citing. Aside from the title track, the singles haven't performed that well.

  • @jgil1966 oh lord, of course there are worse albums out there, ones that i would never dare touch for fear of damaging my own soul and reputation. i had semi-high hopes for this release, considering it wasn't often that i could listen to pop music and actually enjoy it, let alone stomach it. so in a way, one could say i was extremely disappointed. i can understand the "honest" aspect to it as well...but only to a reasonable limit.

  • @jgil1966 the album was given surprisingly high ratings, which is kind of shocking. her previous offerings had a larger overall identity to them.

  • @coverkillernation Agreed, and this is probably because RedOne produced most of her past work, specially the more interesting songs like Bad Romance or Poker Face. Fame Monster holds a higher rating than this album on Metacritic.

  • @jgil1966 do you think if this record isn't as well-received commercially that she'll return to having RedOne produce much, if not all of her future work? or do you think this frequent and diverse collaboration idea is here to stay?

  • lady gaga is secretly a black metal satanist... like the goverment, jay z, and kanye west
