My brother and I had a competition to see who could find the most cans/bottles littered on the street in an hour. My dad drove me to one side of town and my mom drove my brother to the other side of town. Then after 30 minutes, we would switch sides of town and had another 30 minutes on that side. I collected 43 cans altogether and my brother got 59 cans.
I live at 241danbury rd west Jefferson Ohio 43162 in a complex called westwood look it up its huge anyway every trash day I go through all the cans and pick out every recyclable item and recycle it
I'm a member of the environmental science club at my school and I recylcle all things and the school has 2 recycling dumpsters that overflow and 1 trash dumpster that never overflows
I took the recycling from my house and recycled it at my school for 5 days and took the recycling from the dumpsters at our schools in Brighton and put them in the GIIAANNTT recycling bins there too!
i decided to not use any form of power for 18 days. i only used recyclsbles, and i am using shorter words to save on how much energy i have in my body. glasses please.
NicePeter should have taken the soda bottles and cans to the nearest recycling center to recycle them there. And he would have gotten some money for turning then in. I recycle soda bottles and cans cuz I like helping Mother Earth and getting paid.

Well Peter its my first time watching your video and I loved it im part of "Disney's make a change" and iv volunteered across the US helping people world wide and I want to ask a favor I would like one of those Glass's to give to a child who I know is a Big Fan of you he asked me to watch this video. The child is 15 years old and his parents died when he was just 8 both died because of cancer in the same year it was very tragic they boy took soom councling and he is feeling better :)
I got another gutiar for christmas so I went and gave it to a kid I knew who has no family :( he was estatic he wanted to beable to jam with me but he couldn't ring me so I gave him a old phone swell so we could keep in touch :) I guess that's s form of recycling
My family always recycles as much as possible so last month i went out with a group of friends and cleaned up a couple of fields and parks around my neighborhood and picked up all the trash. It turned out that the majority of the trash was able to be recycled. We ended up filling 13 garbage bags in about 3-4 hours. i was so amazed at what we accomplished that i got a couple of friends to go to a different area when the snow melts.
I made a list of what different foods can be recycled/composted/rubbished for my school and home, so people won't be throwing recyclables in the trash because they didn't know they could recycle it.
I also changed all the light globes in my house to energy saving ones, and opened some windows instead of using airconditioners and fans. :)
So I help work at my high school for the news paper and noticed all of our hard work would just go into the trash and so I got an empty storage bin my school has laying around and started to put the weekly papers in there and now have started a system with my school and an agreement with my principle to have them recycled and we only use recycled paper for our school news paper :)

So at my old high school we used to get 32 copies of the LA Times delivered daily to every classroom in the English building. My class only used them about twice a week. I found out that everyday they were going straight into the trash, so after a few weeks of working with our principal and some storage crates from our library, I was able to get not only an entire recycling dumpster for our school, but also little recycle bins in every copy room, office and classroom!!!
I went around my neighborhood today and picked up any trash I saw. It's simple, but so effective. We had a lot of greenery over here, and I'm glad I was able to make everything look even more beautiful :)

I live in a town that had two schools... one of the schools was not being used and was just sitting there... they were still heating it up in the winter and wasting electricity by never turning off the lights..I went to the town mayer and demanded to either be torn down or used for something else.we thought for a while and we finally came up with an idea.. WHY not turn it into a nursing home? it would be a big help to our town! so that was the biggest thing i ever recycled... a building :)
I was last year commissioner of environmental affairs on student council. I'm now president and still continuing to turn my school green. So far, we use all green cleans, cleaned a park as a school, plan a yearly Earth day ceremony, planted an amazing garden! So much more. Bottle caps collected everything u can think of. Proud of myself only 12-13 :D
One day i whent to the principale and suggest we should serve milk in recyclable, plastic bottles and its good for the environment. She said yes and I got to help out at the school!!

i've been hunting for those damn glasses everywhere. i googled every possible thing i could think of relating to sunglasses. walked through two malls three times each, to find either all yellow sunglasses, or all green sunglasses, but none yellow and green.

I didn't do anything big at school or something but if i walk by in the hallways and there is a random bottle getting kicked between the students, i pick it up and put in the recycling that is usually 5 steps away. My family and I have chosen to help people around our community by donating a lot of money to people all over the world to plant trees where they need them and me and my basketball team had a tournament in our hometown and after the tournament we found so many bottles. My best friend lives in a apartment building and i go there all the time. When i go there, there is usually between 1 to 5 light bulbs out in the hallway. When a light goes out you have to go to the person who owns the apartment building and when we where there i suggested to use fluorescent light bulbs to save money and energy and he said ok i will change the light bulbs . My friend and i felt good that they changed all the light bulbs on all 5 floors!! GO GREEN!!
I went through all the garbages in our school ( and when I say all I mean all 87 of them) and picked out recycling from 4-7 tonight. I found everything from twilight books to slippers to a knife to 20 dollars. After I was done the recycling bins were filled with the proper materials. It turns out the school makes a lot less garbage than we think! I also traveled the school finding the garbage instruction signs we have. Even though it was small, I'm happy I did my part! :) It was brodacious! :P

I recently learned my school wasted 50,000 dollars every year because the lights are never turned off in the school, even during the weekends and summer! that money could have gone to hiring more teachers, or fixing the leaking ceilings! so i got a petition started to save all this money and energy. it has only been a couple of weels, but i already have hundreds of supporters, along with many teachers! the school board is currently reviewing it, and hopefully it will get approved!<3
What do I do? I scream at people when they drop garbage on the ground. hhaha And then if they don't pick it up, I'll simple pick it up for them. Disposing it properly.

Since a young age my life has been hard but I have made it my life mission to give back in as many was as I can. I have been volunteering with different organizations/charities since I was little.I currently started a toys 4 tots drive at my school.During high school I actually lived at at my grandfather's nursing home as a way to learn about the old people that live there.Also a way to spend as much time as I could with my grandfather.Sadly on nov 6,2010 he died at the age of 100 years old.
Well, I live in Vancouver, BC, and for the past few weeks I've been volunteering at a bird sanctuary. Basically, what we do there is rescure injured or orphaned birds of prey, and do our best to rehabilitate them, so we can set them free again. Most of the birds are injured by man-made obstacles, like power lines or cars, or they're victims of deforestation, and it feels good to replace some of that human ugliness with kindness. :]
aside from that, I do stuff like recycle, and take the bus

Hey I got my whole family to recycle for a week then got my school on to be more reycyrcble so every time we have a lesson we recycle paper and card board woooooooooo tag your green !!!!!!!!!!

Well Peter its my first time watching your video and I loved it im part of "Disney's make a change" and iv volunteered across the US helping people world wide and I want to ask a favor I would like one of those Glass's to give to a child who I know is a Big Fan of you he asked me to watch this video. The child is 15 years old and his parents died when he was just 8 both died because of cancer in the same year it was very tragic they boy took soom councling and he is feeling better :)

I got another gutiar for christmas so I went and gave it to a kid I knew who has no family :( he was estatic he wanted to beable to jam with me but he couldn't ring me so I gave him a old phone swell so we could keep in touch :) I guess that's s form of recycling

My family always recycles as much as possible so last month i went out with a group of friends and cleaned up a couple of fields and parks around my neighborhood and picked up all the trash. It turned out that the majority of the trash was able to be recycled. We ended up filling 13 garbage bags in about 3-4 hours. i was so amazed at what we accomplished that i got a couple of friends to go to a different area when the snow melts.

I made a list of what different foods can be recycled/composted/rubbished for my school and home, so people won't be throwing recyclables in the trash because they didn't know they could recycle it.
I also changed all the light globes in my house to energy saving ones, and opened some windows instead of using airconditioners and fans. :)

So I help work at my high school for the news paper and noticed all of our hard work would just go into the trash and so I got an empty storage bin my school has laying around and started to put the weekly papers in there and now have started a system with my school and an agreement with my principle to have them recycled and we only use recycled paper for our school news paper :)

I noticed that people in my neighborhood all have newspaper subscribtions but just take it and throw them away in the trash. So i put up a notice and started going around with my friends asking people to keep their newspapers and we would collect them every month. People are actually doing it, and we collected and recycled almost half of a bed of truck worth of newspapers and magazines that people would normally throwout.

In my country, we recycle all that stuff anyway. We get recycling boxes, and it's just the thing to do to put glass/paper/cardboard, etc, into those boxes.
Some bastards in the Government are working to make it the law to recycle, e.g. prosecuting if you accidently put a sheet of A4 in the black bin :O

So at my old high school we used to get 32 copies of the LA Times delivered daily to every classroom in the English building. My class only used them about twice a week. I found out that everyday they were going straight into the trash, so after a few weeks of working with our principal and some storage crates from our library, I was able to get not only an entire recycling dumpster for our school, but also little recycle bins in every copy room, office and classroom!!!

I live in a town that had two schools... one of the schools was not being used and was just sitting there... they were still heating it up in the winter and wasting electricity by never turning off the lights..I went to the town mayer and demanded to either be torn down or used for something else.we thought for a while and we finally came up with an idea.. WHY not turn it into a nursing home? it would be a big help to our town! so that was the biggest thing i ever recycled... a building :)

I was last year commissioner of environmental affairs on student council. I'm now president and still continuing to turn my school green. So far, we use all green cleans, cleaned a park as a school, plan a yearly Earth day ceremony, planted an amazing garden! So much more. Bottle caps collected everything u can think of. Proud of myself only 12-13 :D

I am apart of a team in my school called the green team and we recycle bottles every week and use the money towards new recylce bins and tring for a composting bin and the rest of it gose toward are school. Shure we find some really grose stuff but its work it!

i got my family new toilets, showers and faucets that save water and help filter it so you can reuse it, i bought reusable bags, i donated all of our old coats to a coat drive i started car pooling a bunch of kids in my 'hood to school i got my mom to stop buying water bottles, and we planted some new tree's

Haay peter, Im from England. me and my friends made our own group to help show people about how we are destroying our world. we have made plans for a community garden with recycling bins in to help encourage more people to recycle also we have made plans to go to local schools and show them how the earth is being damaged. i think wearing your brodacious glassers while doing this would be awsome and it can help me show how people from all over the world care. thankyou xx

i've been hunting for those damn glasses everywhere. i googled every possible thing i could think of relating to sunglasses. walked through two malls three times each, to find either all yellow sunglasses, or all green sunglasses, but none yellow and green.
i have had 0 luck, and i want a pair really really bad.

I didn't do anything big at school or something but if i walk by in the hallways and there is a random bottle getting kicked between the students, i pick it up and put in the recycling that is usually 5 steps away. I also do that with garabage/recyclables in the community just lying around on the sidewalk

My family and I have chosen to help people around our community by donating a lot of money to people all over the world to plant trees where they need them and me and my basketball team had a tournament in our hometown and after the tournament we found so many bottles. Of course we put them in the recycling bin and we all felt like we did something good to help our community.

I recycle every can of soda my famil drinks in my house and 5 pple live in my house and they all drink soda and only soda we fill a bag up with cans and give them to a recylce company for the soldiers and we recycle our newspapers and ads our bag of cans fills up on 2 days so its an easy thing tht helps the earth and our soldiers

My best friend lives in a apartment building and i go there all the time. When i go there, there is usually between 1 to 5 light bulbs out in the hallway. When a light goes out you have to go to the person who owns the apartment building and when we where there i suggested to use fluorescent light bulbs to save money and energy and he said ok i will change the light bulbs . My friend and i felt good that they changed all the light bulbs on all 5 floors!! GO GREEN!!

I went through all the garbages in our school ( and when I say all I mean all 87 of them) and picked out recycling from 4-7 tonight. I found everything from twilight books to slippers to a knife to 20 dollars. After I was done the recycling bins were filled with the proper materials. It turns out the school makes a lot less garbage than we think! I also traveled the school finding the garbage instruction signs we have. Even though it was small, I'm happy I did my part! :) It was brodacious! :P

two days ago me and my mom went to forest just for a walk, and we were shocked by all the trash that was there, that was just terrifying. we didn't have any bag or something for the garbage, but what we did we just found some rocks, did a little circle from them and burn all the trash we could find. after we buried all the leftovers(ashes) and the forest just seemed a nicer place.(sorry for the grammar mistakes if there's any :))

I recently learned my school wasted 50,000 dollars every year because the lights are never turned off in the school, even during the weekends and summer! that money could have gone to hiring more teachers, or fixing the leaking ceilings! so i got a petition started to save all this money and energy. it has only been a couple of weels, but i already have hundreds of supporters, along with many teachers! the school board is currently reviewing it, and hopefully it will get approved!<3

Since a young age my life has been hard but I have made it my life mission to give back in as many was as I can. I have been volunteering with different organizations/charities since I was little.I currently started a toys 4 tots drive at my school.During high school I actually lived at at my grandfather's nursing home as a way to learn about the old people that live there.Also a way to spend as much time as I could with my grandfather.Sadly on nov 6,2010 he died at the age of 100 years old.

Well, I live in Vancouver, BC, and for the past few weeks I've been volunteering at a bird sanctuary. Basically, what we do there is rescure injured or orphaned birds of prey, and do our best to rehabilitate them, so we can set them free again. Most of the birds are injured by man-made obstacles, like power lines or cars, or they're victims of deforestation, and it feels good to replace some of that human ugliness with kindness. :]
aside from that, I do stuff like recycle, and take the bus
