Amazing as she would commit the same mistakes at worlds three weeks later : single loop and double lutz. I don't understand why the second salchow was not in combination. She would do the same mistake at 1994 worlds that she won!
And, personnaly I think Preston was much better with her six triples than this performance that was ranked fifth or higher in the free skate.
You are right about the worlds later that year, but at the worlds in 1994 her junping ability was much improved, the only omission for her in the entire even was a doublerd triple toe. You can see it because it is posted.
For the second salchow, I think I can help. According to the rules of those days, the second same jump could have been in combination but also linked to steps movementsor jumps before it. So here she connetcts the second sal with a split and steps before it. Legtimate, acording to those rules... and yes, preston was better :-)
British Judge Vanessa Riley ranked this 2nd in the free skate segment! Did the same thing at Worlds IIRC. She loved Yuka to bits.
