Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan just did the play The Laramie Project. I was lucky enough to take part in this play, I was in charge of the sound board. For a Christian to call himself such, but practice engaging in vile sin would be like a cop robbing a bank. We Christians are not perfect, just forgiven. Calling yourself a Christian is but a lie. Mrs Shepard should be ashamed of herself!! This woman is USING her own son's death to get rich on! she regularly makes speeches at various social functions and is paid $6000 to over $20,000 a pop! All over the 100% LIE that Matthew Shepard was killed for being a homosexual! Guess what?, HE WASN'T! He was actually killed when a drug deal between him and the killers went bad! this fact was brought to light on the Nov. 26, 2004 airing of ABC's 20/20! THATS A FACT!

@Timbrock1000 Why don't you sit down and read the play, 'The Laramie Project'. It has in there an interview between a detective and one of the killers in there, verbatium from the tape. He says distinctly that they targeted him because he was 'a fag' and looked rich. Neither one of the men who killed him said anything about drugs or a drug deal or anything. I'm all for voicing an opinion but next time try to look at ALL the facts before you go off. You sound quite impudent if you don't.

The real revelation was when Kristin Price left slip that Aaron McKinney is bisexual. Then it all made sense. McKinney merely projected his shame of his sexuality onto Matt. When McKinney denied his bisexuality, his eyes gave him away.

Otherwise, that segment was the real hoax that Virginia Foxx must have picked up. Very likely, McKinney thought he'd get away with the murder because Matt was gay. Now the federal government can step in and prosecute even further!

@BuddyNovinski You are correct! The main suspect is bisexual, and even his ex-girlfriend has come out with that fact. I guess the hate crime law would not apply to him since he is gay himself.

If anyone wants to blame this legislation on someone, blame the main gay suspect and not Mr. Shepard or his mother. He is the one who used it in his defense.

This story has touched many hearts and has given people a tiny glimpse of what it is actually like in the Gay Community, that we have to endure just so the haters could be satisfied with themselves. It's truly saddening and It's horrible!
