30-40 pounds on the portafilter may damage the bad boy. I would suggest tamping on the corner of the table.

With how much force do you tamp? It looks like if you're putting all of your weight in it...

i'm happy to c the (light) leveling technique and also how you touch the sides of the baskets while tamping with a quick polish at the end. very fast and efficient. good job.
