The World Cup was a good distraction and I enjoyed it, even the vuvuzelas..its distinctive and I'll always remember that sound. Its definitely memorable with so much controversies but I choose to look at the positives. I thought it was good because I saw a lot of potential, the smaller teams are catching up and I think thats good for the game.
@kelsycole, i couldn't agree more. I thought teams like Mexico (even though they are always about), Chile, Ghana and especially Japan, were a real breath of fresh air
@mautsukuda hehehe ;-) Not starting a fight just notifying you that in all the games i went to (Five) atleast half the crowd blowing were tourists and not locals... just so ya no :-)
@leishler lol i don't doubt it. it's probably way more fun if you're the one blowing the vuvuzelas. but for us at home the noise gets amplified by the mics around the stadium and you can't hear the rest of the crowd shouting, cheering and chanting, which imo is a big part of the sport, at least in professional matches.
@mautsukuda you are right! the noise got to me too just saying it wasnt just the locals... And yes i know when i did watch on TV it was annoying that the bzzzz is all you did hear :-( either way, it was a great world cup :-) hope u enjoyed!

bbc smashed it with the excellent coverage this year. great analysis too during and after the games. they are on a roll with the montages, the f1 silverstone ending montage was also brilliant.
