  • where did u get the red lettering for the pontiac letters on the back bumper?

  • @pinappleface94 reflectiveconcepts

  • i read some things about your transmission thing. and when you add too much oil it submerges gears and all parts within, which is bad b/c then it creates foam on top, and when the oil goes to lines the bubbles go too, from the foam which can causes erratic transmission behavior and some slipping. The fix is to drain some or siphon some out. :D

  • @CODxFUNxMAN sweet cuz that is exactly what I did...I siphoned it out and it is working good now but it worked good before too but only because I ran it for 5 miles. I put an extra 3 qts. It was supposed to have 5 and I put in 8. oops! You have to drive it before you can test it from what I read. And octane boosters are supposed to make the number of the gas (91) higher. The highest I ever see is 93 octane so I am going to use 93 next time and get the $15 nos octane booster. It is not actually

  • @aar00n08 from what i have read octane boosters dont work well and most u will get 91.5 octand if u used 91 to begin with

  • @killerspeed101 I actually felt a difference in my car by a lot it was very surprising and it was only 2 dollars for the octane boost. I was plesently surprised :)

  • @CODxFUNxMAN nos it is the brand name it is supposed to make the octane rating go up 60 points or from 91 to 97 a point is 1 tenth of an octane point, it is weird. Thanks for looking that up for me so now I know what happens if I leave it with too much tranny fluid. :)

  • i actually put a whole can in a vacume line and a whole in the gas tank that was alot but it really cleans your injectors gas lines and all. and also after the stuff sits in your oil case it removes bad deposits n crap. So if your looking for something liek that try that liquid heaven. and u get a nice smoke show from the exhaust :D

  • What is the item? ;)

  • @aar00n08 We make calenders every year.

  • @aar00n08 We make calenders every year with grand prix's and other w-body cars in it.

  • I have a gtp and was wondering how important it was to change the supercharger oil?

  • @aar00n08 GM says its not serviceable but it is and most do it when they replace the coupler in the snout. That coupler is pretty cheap and can be found online at some vendors. If the car has over 100K miles I would be looking to replace the coupler and the oil soon cause the coupler will only last so long and if you changed the oil without the coupler you would lose that oil if you ended up having coupler go bad on you. Go here for more help... gtpworld.net

  • @gtpforever It is a little weird...I have replaced the coupler but not the oil. I can change the oil at any time. The GTP has 153,000 and going strong but I guess I wanted to make sure that it wont have an effect on preformance or engine life of the car.

  • @aar00n08 How could you replace the coupler without doing the oil? You have to take the oil out to do the coupler. LOL! Did you just take the oil out and put the same oil back in? I don't know for a fact if it can mess anything up if its not changed but I am sure that its just like oil we put in the motors and it can break down over time.

  • @gtpforever There is a small flat bolt on the supercharger neck. you unscrew it and use a syphon or a sprayer to get the oil out once it is warm then get two gm supercharger oil bottles (4oz) and fill it back up. Idk if you would know but how long do you think I have left in my tranny it has been run pretty hard, but the fluid has always been changed?

  • @aar00n08 Hard to tell. The trans is the glass jaw of this platform so it pretty much always gets kicked in the nuts and doesn't like it. The 2 builders I recommend are Trannyman Dave at Triple Edge Performance in Fort Wayne, Indiana and then Tim King in Ohio. They are the best builders out there and are cheaper then pretty much anywhere else.

  • @gtpforever I figured that. Thanks, I might have to hit them up!

  • @gtpforever I am going to register to your site with the user as 2002silverbullet but for now I am dead so I gonna hit the hay lol cya

  • @aar00n08 Not a problem. You might like an item we will be selling on the site here in the next few weeks. We do a calender each year and its getting completed right now. LOL! I will get your account all set and ready to go for when you come on the site.

  • @gtpforever And Thank-You very much! BTW gotta love the GTP it just looks so sweet!

  • @aar00n08 Yeah I love them and its probably why I own that forum on the link I said to go to in my first post. I have 3 of them here at my house right now. Mine, my wifes, and a roommate. His is sitting without a motor right now waiting for some build items so he can finish it so it just takes up my driveway space. LOL!

  • @gtpforever They just have a sporty look with the preformance! And with all of the features! The stock BOSE speakers are amazing and it was $27,000 new so its not like a lexus or anything. It is always making me happy. Only downside is the gas Premium and how it burns right through it at 18mpg. With gas getting so expensive it hurts to fill it up

  • @gtpforever Ha is he wanting the 3800 series II?

  • @aar00n08 His motor is a 3800 series II but his supercharger is from a series III rest of the parts are being built for the most part. Just remember this when you fill up so it doesn't hurt so much......... premium is only about .20 more per gallon and with our size of tank your only spending about $3-$4 more per fill up. I burn more cash then that on stupid stuff so when I buy gas at leased its going to a good cause. LOL!

  • @gtpforever haha good cause nice totally agree. Are octane boosters a good idea i see them at the store all the time, but then again I see that tire goop crap so I have always stuck to trusty 93 octane :)

  • @aar00n08 Oct boosters do not actually work unless in VERY large quantities. Not sure how they get away with saying they do this or that but it has been tested by labs and show that Oct ratings were barely moving when adding them to gasoline. Something like a .01 boosting to it or something like that. If you truely want to boost the Oct of the gas you need to add a race gas concentrate like Torco or actually find a gas station with unleaded race gas that you can buy a couple gallons.

  • do yo uhave any advice about rebuilding or fixing a 3800 series one that has coolant in oil, but no blown head yet.

  • @CODxFUNxMAN I would flush all of the oil if you haven't done that yet, then if it still doesn't run after it is replaced I would take a look at the engine block and the pistons and clean and rebore and new rings the whole bit. Also how did it get in the oil? If it still doesn't run check to make sure the coolant isnt still feeding into the oil or however it got there. And change spark plugs and look into cleaning whole engine with carb cleaner.

  • @aar00n08 well i was replacing the timing chain and a bunch of other things in there and when i put the timing cover back on the sealant didnt seal because when i put on the bolts i guess it smooshed it. so i got coolant from the block going into the chain and oil pan.

  • @CODxFUNxMAN If you are talking about the gasket around the cover then you could make a new gasket with special epoxy or some liquid rubber but first I would flush the oil, do not start it until the oil system has been flushed or bad things will happen to your engine

  • @aar00n08 yeah teh thing is it ran for about 10 seconds when i did the test start and it smoked from the exhaust like it needed oil then i shut it off right away. i have sealant called THE WORKS im sure youve heard of it. but im taking her in this weekend to get a estimate from my machanic. I hope its savable only 64k miles and used to run amazingly. fast too

  • @CODxFUNxMAN Oh ya it will run until it either gets to hot or seizes up the engine. But yes smart move my guess would be around $300 max to have that all fixed up if it is just the cover like you mentioned, but if it is the timing chain then we are talking $1000 max with only 64k miles I would spend anything to keep her alive. I have 153k miles and still loving it. And if it ever goes out for good I'm getting another one. They are great cars and like you mentioned fast.

  • @aar00n08 Thank you man, its great to have feedback on things from other enthusiasts. The timing chain is already replaced if you see my latest video you can see it i replaced the slightly stretched timing chain and the sprockets. That was my 1st major job i did on the car, and it wasn't as hard as i thought it will be. I was thinking it won't be over 300 too. The cool thing is, my mechanic was going to charge me ONLY 320 or so to change the timing chain b4. :D hees really honest,n down 2 earth.

  • @CODxFUNxMAN no prob I enjoy working on grand prixs myself. I just changed the transmission oil today, piece of cake. So you said you replaced the timing chain? And you just sent it in to get a new gasket or to make sure that you did not ruin the engine? All I would have said you needed to do is flush both the coolant and the oil and refill after you got a new gasket for the timing chain cover. BTW never ever get octane boosters I got one today and it does nothing I got the low end but still :(

  • @CODxFUNxMAN I might try the higher end $15 stuff later next week and I will keep you posted on which brand I use and if it works right now I'm starting with o'riley's brand and 91 octane premium gas. Also keep me posted on how your repairs are going. Good luck. My honest opinion is that your engine will be just fine and you will be able to enjoy one of the best cars ever made ;)

  • @aar00n08 i'm taking it in tomorrow after over a month of it just sitting there. im goin got see if tehy can save teh engine and do all teh flushing and resealing. its wayyy to cold outside for me now. And advice about mpg boosters, i did seafoam. they have it at autozone put a third in your gas tank(with more then half tank full, fresh gas) a third in your oil, and the last in one of your vaccum lines, or break booster.. i did this a long time ago b4 a tune up/oil change And it really helped!

  • @CODxFUNxMAN I see, I was talking about octane boosters. They are supposed to make your car go faster by adding octane. They really don't do anything though. Like I said before I am going to test a whole bunch of them to see which has the best preformance but I can only do one per tank. I think I will try the seafoam. Also I accidentally put an extra 2qts of transmission fluid in the car but took it out after 5 miles of driving. Then took it out, and it still is fine. Do you think it will be ok?

  • @aar00n08 so you were adding new transmition oil and u put too much? how many quarts did u put in there? and i dont thing extra oil will hurt, unless u notice a difference in shifting . And the only thing i know that can make your car faster is using 92 octane gas that imrroves performance and racing gas.

  • @CODxFUNxMAN The car should be savable if you only ran it for 10 seconds. I wouldn't worry so much about the car as your wallet

  • I like the front lip although I wish it had better ways of mounting. Or that maybe I did body work to mold it in permanently. Couple screws on the ends in the wheel well and just double sided tape for the rest just doesn't cut it. I ended up placing a screw right in the middle of it so it would end up sitting mostly right. LOL! Glad my car was silver tho cause it helps hide the silver screw I used.

  • man the only things i cant get my hands on is that front lip, and F1 style spoiler :(

  • @gtpforever well hell thats not bad

  • @gtpforever thats good but do you spend more for 93 supreme? i been wanting to buy a gtp bc i like the idea of having alot of power but in a v6 fwd

  • @phils2great Yeah I buy nothing but the highest octane I can find. Here where I live it is usually either 93 or 94 mostly 93 here but I will get 94 if I can find it. Only comes out to about maybe $2-$3 more on a fill up or somewhere in there for me usually cause its about 20 cents more per gallon

  • people race up and down the road. its out past richland mall its sweet but check it out one day during late spring i plan on buying a gtp once i sell my sunfire is there a boost switch to increase and decrease it?

  • @phils2great No no switches. There is a performance shifting button on some of them which changes the way the car shifts but it doesn't affect the boost. We just change pulleys and add mods to them to make the boost change.

  • have you ever raced in mansfield park ave ?

  • @phils2great

No I don't think so. I am not even sure if I have been in Mansfield with this car yet. I might have been but can't remember for sure. Is what you said...... "Park Ave" for a car or for a place? Not familiar with the area but just wanted to make sure. LOL!

  • clean bro. i like it =)

  • I dont get it why people do this lol why not just get a RWD 2door car instead of a 4 door FWD

  • @DropDownLowrider Cause that is just being with the crowd. Some like to do things that others can't or just refuse to try. Being original is what helps keep things going in the world sometimes. Plus that funny look you get when your family grocery getter runs down a RWD v-8 is always a nice thing to see. LOL! Not all of them but the cocky ones that seem to think that their shit doesn't stink then find out they paid 10X to much for a 13 second car when someone like me pays a couple grand. LOL!

  • @gtpforever Fair enough lol thats why I bot my car. $2500 for a twin turbo RWD inline six. The cocky idiots out here hate me :)

  • @DropDownLowrider I dont get why people think only 2 door cars are sporty? what the heck is with just saying

  • @killdac To me if your going to build a car for sportyness, speed, and power, why do 4 door? More weight to pull around.

  • @DropDownLowrider Alright thats a valid point in some cases but If I were going to chosse a coupe over a sedan it would be because of body stiffness more than weight because your only talking about 100lbs tops which isnt a big deal unless your triny to make somthing for the track, and there are some production sedans hiting 60 in under 4 seconds and my last point its easyer to get with chicks if you got a 4 door lol im not trying to argue at all 2doors look nice

  • that cars shit shit video shit song all show no go gay silver car i feel sick now for watchin that ...gay

  • @CDNKushOnly

Man your a bitch! Why would you come to someone's video and just post random BS like that? Get a life.

  • @gtpforever

Grand Prix Are Boss But That Car And Video Made Me Really Mad...

  • @86interceptor o i tried clupgp and wiclubgp

  • is that front bumper stock or aftermarket? cause i like the two vent things on each side by the out side of the fog lamps

  • @86interceptor is that why the site doesnt work or it's the new one, i tried to sign up this year but couldnt get it to work

  • nice vid shit song

  • @DemEazy

Yeah blame that one on youtube! They sent me an email shortly after I uploaded this song stating that I was not aloud to use the song on the video. They then made me select another song from their listing and then rewrote the video and made me loose all of the audio from all video's I attached in the main vid. It sucked. I finally recovered all of it for the most part and I am currently trying to redo the vid.

  • I miss my GT..

  • Yeah I know what you mean! I do know for a fact that mine was head gaskets tho cause what caused it was a water pump and thermostat failure both at the same time. Now that sucks!!

  • Its very rare to blow head gaskets in these motor it may look like a head gasket at first but 90 % of the time its the Lower intake gasket you don't even know how many people think its the head gaskets I've boughten Buick's Grand Prix's Impalas and they get rid of them because they don't want to spend the money to replace a gasket that take no more then 4 hours to do and is a lot cheaper than head gaskets.

  • this song BLOWS ASS, really hard

    nice car, btw

  • @havinthangs55

Yeah it was not me who placed it there tho. I had actually chosen Walk by another band and I love the way it came out but "youtube" replaced it with this some for some reason and ruined what I created and covered up all audio and video that could be heard before. I bitched and complained but they said sorry nothing they can do. Well its a good thing I had some what of a back up uploaded to streetfire so I was able to get that and I am not trying to remake the vid again.

  • @gtpforever

yea man, I understand, youtube sucks like that, lol, I was just giving you a hard time

    peace bro

  • Its about 6.5 seconds for 0-60 or right about there. LOL! The fastest GP in the 1/4 mile has its run at like 8.65 or something like that. LOL!

  • i didnt know they turned this car into anything what are its stock stats 0-60

  • Beautiful! i owned a 94. i loved it, my parents bought it when i was seven. and they gave it to me when i turned 17 but it was so damaged (mom's fault xD) and they deceided to sell it. i cant let it go yet. i loved that car... NICE YOURS :p haha!

  • I would take that you must be some kind of expert that lost his way so I will just say this.........Your a fuckin idiot! Those are not 40th rims dipshit!

  • nice! ___ go check out my 99 GTP

  • awesome car simliar too my bonniville ssei but this has the 3.4? supercharged?

  • actually i believe it is the same 3800 series 2 supercharged engine as the SSEi

  • yeah that would explain why they are so frigging fast plus the grand prix is 500 pounds or so lighter than the ssei but still both amazing cars!

  • @scottyBoland 3.4 dont come supercharged its the 3.8

  • @cacalac1 yeah i should of known, but ohhh well pretty similar engines, body styles the bonnevilles and grand prixs only 4 door for bonnies tho =[ sucks majorly

  • @scottyBoland i yea i got a 02 prix gt coupe too bad its not supercharged

  • @cacalac1 yeah i just helped a friend replace all his stock speakers with aftermarket ones, and GRAND PRIX SUCK FOR SPACE my god, but shit sounds amazing amplified grand prix are great vehicles

  • @scottyBoland yea the coupe is small in the in side im looking to get some speakers soon too

  • @cacalac1 id do alpine i went mtx which arent bad AMAZIN' for treble, but midbass is lacking type S or R componets put out AMAZIN midbass amounts but you def need a sub or else you won't have the full spectrum of bass

  • @scottyBoland yea i was looking for some alpines for the inside of the car and then get 2 12's for the trunk

  • i think its the sound is the damage but yeah nice car i have a 05 gtp fast nd fuck love the cars

  • you cant even see the damage, what happened

  • Spun bearings on the crank. I used to to have this video made with a different song to where certain parts had no sound from the song and I had video sections playing and you could hear everything it was doing. Then this damn site decided to change their policy to where you can only use songs they approve or have in their own listings and forced me to choose a song to overwrite this with and when I did they muted all sounds in my vid and played their damn song over it all.

  • I got a grand prix GT and yeah it's a step lower but still a kick ass car

  • @dwronan12 ya the GP is beast, i got a Grand Prix GT and i'm about to start workin out it

first i'm working on apperance (inferno apperance package) then performance

its gonna be amazing when finished

  • im gonna steal your damn gtp!!!!! that bitch is clean. what you run in the 1/4?

  • Love the project dude..

Wat mods u thinking about putting on??

sick vid man cant wait to see more

  • Shit I have 97 gtp with almost 180,000 at 160,000 the tranny when out .GOT A REBUILT ONE WITH A SHIFT KIT YOU CAN FEEL THE POWER ..NOW MY S/C WHEN OUT ..IM RUNNING 3.4 PULLEY AND CAI ON IT AND 160THERMOTAT .I AM THINKING OF GETTING THE INTER COOLER SINCE I AM ALREADY TAKING THE S/C OFF..

  • What do you mean your supercharger went out????

  • If thats all the have u have in mods and running a 3.4 expect a chipped piston in the future :)

  • make sure you get a bigger down pipe for your car before you blow your motor bro..

  • Hey. Can you please tell me where you found those roof line inserts that run on the outsides of the roof. I need some

  • I am a proud owner of a 01 modded special ed GT with 110,000miles and still healthy for more. Treat it well and it will take care of you! GP 4ever.

  • Does your spec. Ed have roof rails on it? I was just replying to another comment and he was asking where to get them and I told him which models had them but I said I wasn't sure about the spec. Ed.

  • yes...my model has the two black rails on the roof exacly like yours...I don't have sunroof though, just the 2 black rails across the roof and the usual special ed ram air, different spoiler, rims, all the seats with the special GP ed seal etc...very similar to the 40th aniversary version.

  • i got a 99 gtp with a 122k on and she is running great

  • nice rebuilt the motor right in the car , ill have to remember that i bought a 97 gtp for $400 needs rear strut mounts so ima weld some new ones in her and then rebuild the motor and see what comes out of it its got 212,000 km on it and has a exhaust leak ... at first i was going to just do good ol pully swap with supporting mods but now , i think ima do more

  • The video was allot better till youtube made me change my song to one of theirs and when I chose this one they layed it over everything I did including vid clips where you could hear the car run and idle. I was so pissed I couldn't see strait. I had the heavy rock version of "Respect" I can't remember the band that played it but it went with the video just great.

  • honestly, i have a GTP and SOOO much shit happened to me when i hit 89k miles, ridiculous, these cars are good for the first 60k and no joke, its not worth it, but these cars look great ; )

  • Then you should learn more about them and how to mod them. LOL! There are plenty at over 200K miles modded and faster then allot of cars on the street.

  • stfu, i do know how BTW and its not my fault, LIM gasket,PS pump/hose/, tie rods. struts, and other shit all happened at the same time.

  • Its a car for a reason man LOL! Believe me when I say I can tell by your reaction that you know nothing when it comes to these cars if you think that they don't require any maintenance to keep at the optimal running condition. LOL! You seemed to have got a car that had not been taken care of for its previous years. No car can go forever without maintenance and not reap some sort of problem. My car has 160K miles and will still walk most. LOL!

  • fuck you, oh yea AC compressor, window regulators, i realize it needs maintnence, all cars do regardless. But ALL this shit at 85k miles ? yea good joke

  • Yeah dip shit if the previous owner beat the fuck out of it then that exactly what will happen. Duh! God its idiots like you that make me feel sick to my stomach cause they blame things on the car when the car has nothing to do with it.

  • learn how to take care of them, and they will last 200 k plus

  • i have a 2000 gtp with 113,000 miles. i have had it for 3years and never had a problem yet. of course i get the oil changed at 3,500 miles ect....

  • that car came out good. keep it up

  • Nice job.... but that red diy interior is disgusting.

  • Thanks but your taste doesn't mean much to me.;) I already hate red. LOL!

  • Nice lookin GTP! What's it run in the 1/4 with that XP?

  • Not sure yet cause I haven't had it to the track after the build was done. It went through allot of things since this vid was made. LOL!

  • Pontiac rules. Nice mods my friend.

  • mine sounds the same and dont have a lot of cASH AND my only choice is to do it myself. need step by step instruction on how to remove the engine and rebuild?

  • hey dude i have a gtp to and it sounds exactly the same what did u do to solve the problem

  • y was it doing that ?

  • The sound that was being heard was about 3 spun main bearings out of the 6 in the 3800.

  • still sounds like engine problems at the end.. nice vid

  • If you are talking about my quick walk around of the car there was no engine problems. There is a tick that is heard under the hood which was an exhaust leak and then I didn't rev it to high for a loud whine from the supercharger cause I had it running with a remote start and if you take it to high it will die cause of the idle being wrong.

  • Just out of curiosity, why does it say stage 2? As in engine 2 or something? haha. Nice car though. I have an 02 GTP sedan and I love it. L67 FTMFW!

  • The Stage 2 was from the previous cam I had installed in it before I did the new cam. The old was an Intense stage 2 cam and the new one is a ZZP X-P hot cam.

  • why did u go to a smaller cam

  • Went smaller cause of the HP results of the different ones. The one I went with might be lower size wise but it is made for a supercharged car. The one I had the first time was not although you can use it the power is just not as good on supercharged as it would have been with turbo or nitrous.

  • Nice video Troy. Also like the nice touch on the free promotion at the end. ;) When you get it up good and running get some videos of some pulls up.
