So many things wrong. 1 I assume by the age of the mower it has 7 blade reels and that is way to many for the hight of cut that the lawn is, I would suggest 5 blade reels. 2. Your ground speed is too fast if you do want to cut the grass at that hight, might I suggest Snail. 3 back that bed knife off on the reel thats clicking it's WAAAAYY to tight.

Its a greens/tee mower, not meant for cutting thick tall grass...

These don't work for yard grass - and that yard has alot of weeds and it won't touch those - that model you have is a newer one of mine - and that has 11 blades per cutting head (three heads) to cut normal grass you'd have to remove every other blade to cut normal grass - and reverse cutting doesn't work at all with greensmasters.
