  • I used to do majorettes and these are all tricky to do if you don't know how, but once you learn they're really not that advanced! :/

  • This is not advanced at all...

  • These might not be really advanced tricks but she had the bravery to do this. Just try and encourage her eh?

  • SERIOUSLY!?! My 8 year old daughter does this trick soo much better. Adavanced?!? Ummm....

  • @SallyAFJ you're an bitch! I bet she's Bitchy like you!

  • @KristinNcountry Just giving my honest opinion, not being bitchy at all. I do however take offence to the fact that you would insult my 8 year old daughter...it says more about you than it does about me!

  • @SallyAFJ i'm just saying. It was kinda bitchy to say that to someone that is trying to help people learn something. It was kinda immature. And i know you're gonna reply "Oh and you're not" trying to be all smooth but i'm just sayin

  • advanced? i did better than that when i was nine

  • I think we get it that it's not advanced. Hey, to beginners, it may be. But seriously, she's a person, too. Quit bagging on her. If you're all SO good, make your own tutorials and let her be.

  • I'm sorry, I've been twirling for 7 years, she is somewhat a "smooth" twirler, but one of the first things you are supposed to learn when twirling is to have firm arms, majorette hands, etc, etc, etc. And these moves are defineatley not advanced, not even hardly basics. smh.

  • @AllexusMariePhillips haha my coach threatens to ducktape my arms straight

  • @boppy1998 haha my trainer did that to me once! I was really little though and it scared the crap out of me and now, you better believe I have firm arms, lol.

  • @AllexusMariePhillips ha my coach makes stand with my arms out straight for like an hour i honestly just forget about that part of twirling lol

  • umm yeah, these are definitely NOT advanced. They are the easiest tricks to learn.

  • OMFG YOU HELD THE TIP NOT THE BALL WHEN YOU DID THE WHIP TOSS!!!

And this is not advanced ive been twirling for 3 years and learned that before I started twirling, and wheres your posture and majorette hand. smh.

  • Advanced?!?!?!? I learn that at my first lesson!

  • i taught myself how to do these tricks with a plastic baton advanced is doing a a one spin catch back hand or a 2 spin and those arent even hard i did thoose on my first try and i learned how to do a palm horizontal u dont move ur fingers btw get some lessons yourself before "teaching' us how to twirl ! oh and did u make this channel 2 make fun of baton twirling because it seems that way !

  • This is nowhere near advanced I learnt all that (apart from the last one) in my first year. You don't even hold it right! When you throw and catch you hold it in the centre and not towards one end. Before you teach people how to do it learn the basics yourself!

  • This helped me a lot, thanks. Ignore those rude comments :)

  • lol advanced is 3, 4 or 5 spins, illusions and cartwheels :L

  • tbf, they are so easy, and when you throw your not meant to move from where you throw, this is so bad its cringey, what i mean is... a 6 year old could do this, and your like 40 odd?

  • will you guys shut up? she's just doing her goddamn job. Jesus Christ

  • @GirlPirate1118 we are alll passionate baton twirlers and this pisses us off. those tricks were easy as fuck, a 2 year old could do them.

  • i'm 12, an advanced baton twirler..and that is not advanced..and your voice is so annoying!

  • I should hire you to teach the newbies we get during tryouts. Lol For some reason, most of them can't get those "advanced moves". I learned this first week. I'm gonna go twirl fire while you keep working on that. :p

  • This video sucks. Ive been doing baton for ten years and I learned that in the first week..NO lie!

  • Okay I'm 12 and I've Been Twirling Since I Was 2! These Tricks Were What I First Learned! Im Working On Three Baton Juggling And TWO Fire Batons! I'm Not Even A Teenager! Advanced!? Haha:D

  • @199cutie Well, Expert Village isn't exactly known for it's good teachings. I watched some of the 'advanced figure skating' videos they had; they kept doing the axels incorrectly, and axels are something you learn somewhat early on in the jumping stages. I've been skating for a few years and most people easily master the jumps and tricks in their videos what you would generally learn early.

In short: I know how you feel. (:

  • Okay I'm 12 and I've Been Twirling Since I Was 2! These Tricks Were What I First Learned! Im Working On Three Baton Juggling And TWO Fire Batons! I'm Not Even A Teenager! Gosh

  • My students are taught these these elements in my pre-kindergarten (age 3-6) twirl classes. And as others have said, the technique here is very bad. This is why twirling athletes should be discerning and use Youtube as a supplement and not as a guide to learn how to twirl.

  • excuse me?? advanced?? i taught myself how to do this when i was 6!!

  • I used some of these expertvillage baton videos when I first started twirling, and developed some horrible habits from what she does.

  • you need to give it up your life is over.......JUST STOP TRYING.....FOR THE LOV OF GODD GIV UP AND CRAWL UNDER A ROCC FOR THE REST OF YOUR ( well for watevr iz left of idd).....

  • so i've been twirling WITHOUT an instructor for like, three to four weeks now. so i probably have as much experience as a person who's been twirling for a week. and i taught MYSELF how to do all of this. wow. :/

  • i started twirling when i was 3, and now im juggling 4 batons this is NOT experts! Your so clumbsy!!

  • Great... I can tell you. I`m a Beginner and I can do this!

And i learned that when i was like 5 !!!

    This is NOT Advanced Haha,!

  • Dude im 12, and i learned that when i was like 5 ive been twirling for 7 years -__-

  • its not called the TOE of the baton :')

  • that's very bad!

  • Why do they call this advanced ? I've been twirling for 5 years and I learned that in my first year of twirling . If you wanna see what advanced looks like, check ou Jennifer Marcus or Hollie neilson or someone allot better that this amateur.

  • -.-

Please inform me what is advanced about any of this. This is insulting to twirlers! I've twirled competitively for 5 years, and this is below basic twirling! We teach this stuff to our little girls! This makes baton twirling look sloppy and easy, which its not. Someone should post an instructional video that ACTUALLY teaches people how to twirl with good technique.

  • shti. this is what i learned in my firt lesson... not even joking

  • im nt a beginner but we hv been taught harder stuff i tried the toss 4 da first time and don it right

  • you don't need to bend over like you are going to throw up to catch it on your back, lol.

  • What??!??!?!?!?!?! That is NOT advanced!!!!!! Advanced is throwing it up vertically and doing an illuison!!!!!! Or you could try a two, I personally do a three, or if your that advanced try a simple one that i could do in 3rd grade, i am now in 8th grade and i can do 3's illusions, box-toss 2, etc. THAT IS NOT ADVANCED!

  • I personally love baton twirling but I've quit the club I used to go to because they made me teach the mini-majorettes and they were a nightmare. But when I was doing it, I loved twirling and practised all the time and I was so passionate about it. And now when I see this video, I'm kind of annoyed that she's teaching it wrong...it's quite embarrassing for majorettes to see someone like this because that's not how you do that twirl....

  • Some one shuld post a better instrouctional video, who wants to? Good coaches can be hard to find. But I do twirl to and this is defently Not advanced i learned all this when i was in first grade (not Kidding), now airel alusions, ariel cartwheels and a combonation toss is advanced not this stuff.

  • this is not advanced

  • this is in no way advanced.

  • U SUCK!

  • its not called a toe. the bigger end is the ball, and the smaller end is the tip. genious

  • ...more like 3 year old shit

    sh sucks

  • yes, while it is nice that she has these videos for people who want to learn, she maybe should reconciter relearning what she was taught, plus not to mention labeling a single leg toss as advanced. throw the baton up, do a chartwheel and then catch it.now thats advanced! I have been twirling for 11 years and have taught baton lessons myself. I'm not trying to insult or poke fun, but when your passionate about something it just kills you to come across a video of someone doing it all wrong.

  • fail.

  • haha, no. for the palm spins. you don't keep it going with your fingers. its a palm spin. not a finger palm spin. and thats not advanced. singles and illusions and doubles are advanced.

  • @FanofApawk18

Agreed. You don't do the palm spin with your fingers, it spins NATURALLY.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • hmmm

pancake toss, advanced loop toss, helicopter,

the only thing i probably cant do is the last one.

  • Someone take Suzanne's baton from her.

  • um...i could do that in junior high my first year...that is NOT advanced...and it dnt even look like you could do it lol

  • ahahahaahahaha! ARE YOU SERIOUS??

omg. your back catch, horrible. 5 year olds do palm spins && fyi YOU DONT KEEP IT SPINNING WITH YOUR fINGERSS if you wanna do tosses, make them go higher. and if you wanna be advance, do illusions, 2 turns, and things im pretty 100% sure you cant do :p

    haha

your a disgrace to the twirlers of America =(

iv been twirling for 13 years now.

  • @Bamabrat08

    i completly agree with you

im in tenth grade i started in 6th

i could do half that crap in 6th she aint even doing them rite....i finally got my two spin down now im working on fishies and a bow toss

  • Thats not really advanced.

    No offence..

  • A year later and I'm still a pretty sucky twirler, but I'm still better then her-and I suck!!!

  • someones abit of a jerk. dont judge people. thats completly unfair. ive been doing majorettes my whole life, and yet ive never been taught how to do some of those things. im grateful that shes done these videos even if she isnt brillent herself, i admire her guts to do the videos. maybe you should give her some credit instead of being a bimbo

  • ive been twirlig for almost 4 weeks... and i could do all that on my own. that is NOT advanced. -_-

  • thats not advanced i know that years and its easy !

  • advanced????

  • I can spin it on my left and right palm :)

  • I´m form Germany and do not twirl in a professional league, but this crap is full of faults, even the kids in my club can do better. ( And we are really bad actually ) ever heard abou it? what you toss into the sky, comes down itself! why did you grab into the baton....e.g...

  • ok lady, ahem advanced would be toss under leg TURN CATCH UNDERLEG. I CAN DO THAT CAN U??!?

  • free hand is awfulll. and you're off-pattern a lot ! and this is like special novice, if not lower. not advanced !

  • o gosh....i do not know how to spin a baton but i am pretty sure that i can do a better job than that. i feel sorry for her she should be kind of embarrassed.

  • none of that is advanced! are you that dumb i mean come on i do advanced things advanced to you would be a thumb toss which is one of the easiest things to do

  • u grls r lucky there r no baton schools where i live only one beginner class that is too easy

  • you call that advanced? pahahaha thats easy shit.

  • Hard stuff???advanced???sorry not to be rude but we have already learned that in twirling on my first two days and I have been a twirler for three years...

  • ive been a twirler for 10 years. im not some old lady im 12.

  • i learned this in my first 2 weeks of twirling. not really advanced...sorry.

mabye you could post a video of like one turns and stuff like that..just a suggestion

  • OMG!!! you call that ADVANCED? i learned that on my 3rd baton class that i had. she cant even do the tricks right... WOW!

  • this is pretty easy stuff.

  • advanced? i'd call that beginner personally.

  • The proper way to catch a leg toss is to catch it in the oppisite hand it was thrown. You don't exchange a horrizantal throw usually, only in major routines where e it fits. Normally, you catch it with the hand that you through it with

  • This is not hard.. you R a nooooob!

  • no real twirler uses these tricks, lmao.

  • they need to get rid of her , i hope they didn't pay her lol

  • I do not think that is advanced I thought it was Intermediate.

  • you look so afraid of the baton.....

first time i really used one.

i tried a flag toss with it and was fine.

  • For the last freaking time, it's not a toe, it's a tip! She's driving me nuts with all this useless incorrect information.

  • is this lady someone, who's picked these basics up from a 7 yr old and thinks she can pubicise herself as an advanced baton teacher!! sorry but clips like these keep standards low.

  • this sux ive been twirling for almost 5 years and i'm 12 and i'm woking on my 3 spin i learned 1 spin my 1st year twirling 2 spins my 3rd year... this is no where near advanced!!!

  • these are quite basic moves and not very good catches to boot, but who knows she may have a bad teacher that tells her shes fantasticly advanced!

  • Advanced? Your hands are horrible, your posture sucks. It's called the "ball" and the "tip" what is a toe? This is just insulting for twirlers. You're "teaching" what we teach to three year olds. Overall congratulations on pissing a bunch of passionate twirlers off! :]

  • @olookbrooke i agree with you ezactly that is easy twirls and we dont need taught like a 3 year old

  • @olookbrooke i so totally agree! twirling is my life! and i could do these tricks whenever i first started twirling. in no way are these tricks "advanced". try doing an illusion, or 6 spin, or even fishtails. now those are some advanced twirling tricks.

  • Aww come on my sister twirlers....just because she saw a twirler in a parade once and got a baton....she's now an "expert". This is really sad. Twirlers put in sooooo many hours of practice (and PAIN) its a shame to have this woman trivalize twirling. TWIRLERS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!! (45 now and still twirling!!!)

  • Amen, Sister!

  • im sorry but dat palm spin was bad..

and i dont think ur suppose 2 use ur fingers in in at all!!

plus for you toss u must really straighten out ur arms more...

  • omg. its called a freaking thumb flip.

a horizantal and vertical thumb flip.

    DUNN DUNN DUUUNNN..

  • its not called the "toe" or the baton its called the tip! lol i have been twirling for 9 years now....

  • advanced twirlers use thumb flips. they comment about them on your score sheets if you dont and judges may take off points for not doing them

  • The "finger" thing with her palm spin didn't help it, it just made it look messy and novice-like.......and if you aren't using your fingers (which you shouldn't be) then the BATON is spinning while your palm is holding it, therefore the PALM is doing it...

  • OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would be humiliated if I was seen doing that!!! Since when do Palm Spins require finger movement? And what's up with the free hand? I love the Horizontals, passed to the Left, then the toss to the Right behind the back. WOW! So Advanced! I'm Amazed!

  • Ew.

That is the most horrible palm spin I have ever seen.

  • and you wonder why we get crap. Thanks to jabronis like this.

  • u know what i agree with u

  • This isn't advanced- this is like EXTREME NOVICE...

    Work on free hands.

    HAHA

  • Shes rubbish thats not how u do any of it

  • Omg, I think all of us should get our batons and go beat her with them! Then we'll get her baton and burn it!

  • just name the time and place and i'm sure all the good twirlers will show up

  • Waauw I'm impressed...NOT!

  • wow?that sucked so bad....even my brother can do these?woww......your gay

  • o my good!

    She is terible!

  • Oh dear! Terrible technique, no control, poor body work... on only beginner lever twirls...not really qualified to offer advice as Advanced twirls. Maybe practice yourself first before going onto teaching others!

  • this is not advance twirling!!! My little brother of 8 years is even better than this!

  • Okay, it's an open palm spin, and I never used my fingers... you just let it spin in your palm... that is open... hence the name "Open palm spin." And it's not even a toss, so why is it in this video?

  • Because its from "expert" village which so far has shown crap for every single video I've seen.

  • These are beginner tosses hardly advanced.

  • hell - even I can do these ;)
