He made a comment on his twitter specifically about this video - it went something like "Hey young JD, maybe being a successful career musician isn't so bad, you should try it sometime". You really can't argue that he hasn't done a 180 from his previous attitude. I don't think the '95 JD in this video would consider performing on Letterman or at Lollapalooza, for instance.

@mqKrem He never tried to live as a musician, though. From interviews, it sounds like he was sort of pained to leave his job and tour year-round.
