  • I disagree

Its like people saying they go sick from an imaginary "devil" before modern medical science came in

    Lol

Is pschological components to everything but this has to do with imbalances and chemicals problems in the brain

  • Proves it's psychological, doesn't it? See how long it lasts, and if it comes back.

    Loren

  • that buzzer just gave me a migraine. thanks a lot old dude.

  • idiot, this stuff works.

  • Google "hypnosis migraines" You know absolutely nothing about the origin of migraines. I've been curing them for about 30 years and so have hundreds of other hypnotists. Loren

  • Actually, I know a great deal about the origin of Migraine, which is a genetic neurological disease. I understand how they originate in the brain and the cerebral cascade involved. YOU ate the one who knows nothing about them.

  • Since I am such a dope and you are so brilliant, I ask you to refer two migraine patients to me to work by telephone, for free. I will do what I can in about 30 minutes and you can evaluate them yourself. The ball is in your court.

    Loren

  • I wouldn't put Migraineurs through your BS. The ball is in my court. Right. Good way to deflect the attention from the fact that your "Cure" is nothing.

  • man dont listen to these people, you're just trying to help people out. the're just causing themselves more problems in the future.

  • Unfortunately the burden of proof lays upon you as you are the one insisting that hypnotists and others of the like have been curing migraines. Anyone debating their abilities to work cures taught by alternative practices should be prepared with the list of links "proving" their side, instead of sending others out to look for them. Who knows what we'd find that isn't what you've learned, thus creating even more untruths.

  • This is totally absurd. A placebo, which is all this could be, is not a cure.

  • If the individual discussing loud buzzing did indeed have a migraine, it wasn't caused by neck and shoulder tension. Neck and shoulder tension will lead to a "tension headache"; not a migraine. Migraines are entirely different animals than stress or tension headaches. Don't be daft. Your "educated" guesses are going to cause problems.

  • If the cause is psychological, why isn' a placebo a cure? Why are all medical tests run against a placebo if it cannot be a cure? Religious cures are all placebo cures A diet change cure has a placebo component, doesn't it? Loren

  • The cause of migraines hasn't been established yet, so you cannot say definitely that the cause is psychological. Certainly there is an emotional component to migraines, but not in the manner you suggest.

I seriously doubt anyone you've treated has had actual migraines, or they just went into remission at a coincidental time. You can't account for women who stop having migraines after menopause using a model of "cause: anger", so that's a theory debunked.

  • Also, any reliable, respectable scientific theory is run against a placebo or other variables in order to define findings in a manner which support or debunk the hypothesis. Placebos are tricky, but you have to remember that those with migraine try as much as possible to escape their pain.

Your misinformation can be dangerous for those who don't have control over chronic migraine, as it's a risk factor for stroke. Migraines can kill, which is a little-known fact about the disease.

  • I've done this for over 30 years. Google hypnosis migraines and get an education. Migraines respond well to placebo. I saw it in the Philippines by "psychic surgery." Loren

  • I'm sorry, Loren, but I've tried alternative therapies. I have an extensive library consisting of migraine books and articles. I do migraine research, blogging, and advocating for sufferers on a daily basis. I see two of the top migraine specialists in the country and belong to a support group led by the foremost migraine expert in the United States. I'd say I have an extensive education on migraines having lived with them since I was a child. Maybe you should google migraines yourself.

  • Considering migraines are a biological disorder of the nervous system, "pent up anger" does not cause them.

If you have neck and shoulder tension, you could be a laborer, stressed, or just plain old, which in turn can trigger migraines. 32 million Americans suffering from migraines can't ALL be angry people, now can they?

You and every other person thinks he knows how to "cure" migraine. You haven't even the slightest clue what migraines are, much less know how to cure them.

  • Are you better now? If you have neck and shoulder tension your headaches are probably caused by anger.
