Elitist ghoul who gets paid tens of millions each year while the company can't get the job of providing the services it is paid for by the customers . How can this be?
There is a special place in hell for you Randall. Eat dirt and like it.
At&t DSL is not Unlimited anymore. 150gb per month cap allowed . there stock is doing really well still. just make sure you keep an eye on how much your using daily
What fuckin pissess me off is how the union is talking all this shit about how at&t plans on getting rid of 8 hour days and making people work 10,11,12 hour days like before unions! This shows how the union is self centered, because the premises Techs who install Uverse have been doing that and being fired over the smallest infractions, underpaid, with starting pay at 9 bucks an hour recently, and IGNORED BY THE UNION THEY ARE PAYING DUES TO. The union's bad as management for Uverse workers
AT&T is a great example of corporate greed at it's worst. The only way to solve that problem would be to liquidate their entire executive level management, right down to the regional managers. Every single one of them, GONE. Kick their fucking ass to the curb, and fill their positions with people who have put up with the micromanagement and the abuse for years, and know exactly how NOT to treat people... Fuck you AT&T.
This is funny. the union said theyre being strategic by draggi ng their feet..What they truly were doing was Making sure the core was protected and prems got screwed
Randall is taking/will be taking $400 a month out of the mouths of my family. He HAS already elimnated half of the jobs in my office. We were told we could move, on our own expense to a po-dunk town in Georgia, if we wanted to keep our jobs within the next 2 years. At a loss of $400 a month doing the EXACT SAME job we're doing now. Shame on you Randall, I hope you enjoy your freakin' bonus this year that "our" sweat and grit paid for!
@ditch121370 He just got a 12 million dollar bonus. ATT cant afford paying the healthcare for its employees, but it can fill his pockets for destroying this company. He is a total douche bag and the Exec Board are just a bunch of money grubbing unamerican filth. The true legacy of George Bush.
@elysium76 He is responsible for the way the entire company runs. AT&T is a client of my company and not a day goes by where I have to sit on yet another pointless meeting about budget cuts. Budget cuts?? They don't spend a dime on anything in the first place! Their COs are crumbling, equipment is failing because they don't spend money to properly maintain it, people are told to do unsafe work, employees are tasked with more and more duties yet no compensation is given to them. Corportate scum!!
Care to explain why we all got screwed on the contract this past April, even after voting YES on a strike from us "stupid lowly workers"? You talk about how valuable we are but I guess are agreement to strike isn't relevant.
I really hope you guys cripple these assholes, honestly. I've been working at AT&T switch buildings since April, I am not an AT&T employee but AT&T somehow still tries to dictate my company policies, and my PERSONAL LIFE outside of work.
And from what I have seen so far, all they care about is counting their money, they do not care for their employees.
You guys should strike, send these corporate scum bags a real message.
Taken from the Wall Street movie. Gordon Gekko played by Michael Douglas used his quote 'Greed is Good...after a long speech at the Teldar Paper stockholder's meeting. Money makes the world go a round and Unions are a powerful tool that the average worker has a partial say over a company. Unions have corruption but not all unions are corrupt or members corrupt either. Simple economics ladies and gentlemen, suck the life fluids out a victim and toss aside the body moving on.
Nosh your arguments are illogical. Bottom line the reason AT$T wants to weaken the union and take back negotiated benefits is that anything they can take back goes straight into their pockets. Same reason they have done it to lower level mangement. Lowering cost increases profit which in turn increases stock prices and upper management has plenty of stock options. Nevermind that long-term they are running the company into the ground as long as they can make a short-term profit.
leberluos, logically speaking if at&t's Board of Directors cannot keep costs down AFTER paying employees and providing healthcare for the whole then one would have to ask, what are they doing with the $117 billion plus gross profit before the $12b net profit? If employees were taken care of at $1.728 billion for healthcare alone, can not the Board still keep costs low on the other perhaps even wasted expenditures? Could they perhaps have done without an investment that was made? etc. Logic
@leberluos You are correct, but have you noticed that the stock prices are in the toilet and the cost to the customers hasnt gone down either? So where are they spending the billions in profit they are making? By the way, have you heard about the millions they are spending on Randall's rent palace in Dallas, or his million dollar getaway mansion in Horseshoe Bay?
Do the math corporate-wide. Let's do simple math based on the $12.87 billion profit. At&t has 288,000 employees union & non-union. For math purposes only let's say all non-executive employees earn an income of $100,000 per employee per year. What is that? $30 billion dollars. A lot of money? No. Why? at&t made around $117 billion give or take of which the $12.87 billion profit was realized. My point, any executive who understands math would not waste their time trying to break up unions.
Health benefits at a high around $450 per month per employee for an employee with a family. $450 per month x 12 months a year = $5,400 x 288,000 employees = $1.555 billion. Add that to the $28.8 billion if all employees earned $100,000 a year that $30.355 billion for health and incomes. By the way, Randall Stephenson takes direction from the Board of Directors, so you should post this to at&ts Board of Directors not Randall Stephenson. Do you even know their names?
In summation: $117 billion less $30.355 billion for employee incomes and health benefits leaves the Board of Directors $86.65 billion a year to play with. So, where is the incentive to bust the unions? Who has more incentive: lower level executives who negotiate your local union contracts, low level managers who pocket $80 to over $180k if they get your local unions to give up income and bennies or Randall Stephenson?
120,000 of at&ts 288,000 employees are MANAGERIAL. Randall did cap their incomes this year from receiving raises. You should find the article of it online. He should also consider restructuring their incomes to a lower income bracket and to lock in their incomes for 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 years to come. That way they have no incentive to harass union locals to steal sales representatives money to line their own pockets of lofty dreams.
Who negotiates MANAGERIAL incomes? The same lower level executives that negotiate the union contracts. What do your local union presidents with incomes of $100,000, $180,000, $350,000 plus a year to negotiate a contract every three years do at negotiations? Butt heads for months with the conflicted lower level executives information and feedback by the managerial teams who pocket the money of the union members.
My final point: You are not getting Randalls (nor the rest of the Board of Directors that meet once a quarter, if that?) involvement. It is in the best interest of lower level executives & MANAGERIAL to break up the unions. It is in the best interest of the Board of Directors to have their shareholders who happen to also be their sales teams that make money for the company maximize their time selling not striking or being unhappy at work concerned about their incomes and health care.
Lets look at 401k packages for all 288,000 employees. Lets say the company contributes $1:$1 up to 6% of income each year. Lets say all employees earn $100,000 a year. $100,000 x 6% = $6,000, at&t matches up to $6,000 per employee x 288,000 employees = $1.728 billion added to the $30.355 = $32.083 billion of the $117 billion before the $12.87 billion of profits is realized.
