walls are only good if you have a heap of cannons behind it

In the beging of the game you of course can't afford a heap of cannons so have a heap of rifle men behind your square wall with a tower inside

also it is better to build a fort in the path of the enemy then actually defend your town

it is also good to place a small number of men and a tower in your alley's town

anyone who can control the shoreline or the water will win the game

@j0rg39 it all depends on the situation..if ur playing on an open space(Great plains) and lets say 50 strets vs 20 Gend,then yes Gends will win..but if ur blocked by walls,trees,lakes,ponds,ect..t­hen how are ur gends goin to surround the strelets? you will need good micro..

One:becuase it's a colonia unit...able to pwn any heavy unit in that age..yes even Jans.

And second:cuz they are a awesome unit to spam and out number ur opponent with..

what kind of laptop is it. while my pc can play this game on highest settings for everything very smoothly, my laptop only has 1.8 ghz dual core processor, 2 gb of ram, and a built in ati 1150 or something like that, and it can BARELY run it with everything on the lowest settings. It has windows vista on it. Just depends on the laptop. My friends can run the game on high on his laptop.

I am not suprised that people come on here and run their mouth by saying they can do better. While walling yourself in is no tthe best strat, wall s can be very useful if used correctly. Such as slowing down a rush army while you turtle boom.

yeah i play online a lot lately and if you build up walls in the first age and then build a church, upgrade the walls, and throw up outposts while in the second age, it slows down the enemy army lots, and they will most likely attack someone else, then you can build up your army and help your team mates while building an army to infiltrate the opposing teams towns while they send an attack force towards your team mates, it almost always works.
