@rozensen - because in the video my character is only level 1, as a demonstration that riches and power can be found very quickly after just getting out of the sewers (which is where part 1 starts). She gets tougher as you get stronger, so naturally later on it would take more than one shot to take her down =)
@ablestmage - Although it's possible Prima may be wrong in their game guide, the guide for Oblivion states Umbra is permanently levelled at 30. I have absolutely no shame in admitting that I go to her little dungeon straight off in my game to get her gear as well and that I drop my dificulty to the easiest level before doing so. At the easiest setting, you do 6X damage, making Apotheosis do 597 dmg instead of 99 (if math is correct here)...
@bluemax087 - UESP claims she's at level 50, and also suggests casting a weakness-to-fire/frost/shock series to a target when using Apotheosis, so that the 33fire/33frost/33shock combo hit is raised to nearly 200 dmg =)
@ablestmage But you didn't cast that weakness spell in this video... did you? (TBH, I don't want to watch another 9 minute video just to find out). Either way, after my first playthrough where I found Umbra at about level 35 and decided to keep the sword and not return it (completing the quest and making the sword permanently weighted in my inventory btw) I decided to go there straight away each time I played...
Edit : you cant dupe umbra's shit because its all from quests , but can you dupe the staff or is there a better item to dupe (most expensive item to shops?)
@maurice96b - There's a remade-version of this video I made @ watch?v=_PgwRkXjaMI .. The best expensive item to dupe I think is the Document of Purile Banter, which weighs less than 1 but is valued at over 6000, which you can get at the bookstore in the Imperial City Market District.
@cheatmaster123123 - I always make a custom class named Binky, and usually put Heavy Armor, Block, Blade, Athletics, Acrobatics, Security and something random for the last one. Lately, however, I've been using Light Armor instead of Heavy, and instead of Security have been using Marksman because I've grown quite fond of using a bow-and-arrow.. especially since the Mehrunes' Razor quest turns up loads of special high-damage arrows you can dupe..
@maurice96b you can dupe it but for me because i was a soldier i said screw going to frostcraig spire and all the rest of the bases i downloaded (witch is them all) i went to battlehorn castle to dupe it in the private quarters instead of droping it all somewheres and not having any space

@flabztar - Apotheosis is the staff from the shop, and something like Goblin Staff is the one from the cave. You don't have to drop the specific scrolls, any amount 2 or more of any scroll will work. You can dupe other items also, but not things like quest items, nirnroot, or some random things that may depend on your character's species (not sure why).
@Spyro1345 - If you've already slain Umbra then you should have kept her junk =P There's a quest that killing Umbra has to do with (that I wouldn't recommend doing, because the prize is terrible, compared to just using Umbra's sword/armor instead).
@ArgentDeus - As far as I know, the non-GOTY versions are not patched, and the GOTY version is. For x360, if you try connecting to XBL and it forces you to download an update before you can get on, means it's not patched yet.
@ablestmage Well, when you get the game, the disk itself, isnt patched. Yu have to go on XBL and it patches the data, or if you decide not to patch it, you will ont be able to go on XBL. But simple say to unpatch it is go to system settings, memory, your hard drive/memory unit, press x x lb rb x x, and maintenance. It will clear the cache, or if you have a new HD, then you can just go to sys settings, and choose to clear the cache. Then you can dupe and glitch on oblivion.
@JmanBan3 - PS, you can copy/paste your own message into a new message, make spelling corrections, and delete the old one, without having to post a separate message correcting them.
@JmanBan3 - This duping glitch is not patched, so unpatching is not necessary. The unpatching technique also unpatches all games you've ever played on that machine, meaning some DLC may also get erased (such as Fallout 3 addons, and with those, items acquired from those DLC). I say unpatching isn't worth the hassle.
@JmanBan3 - There are other duping glitches different than this (such as one where you shoot arrows instead of dropping items) that require unpatching, but this one works even after all patches are installed.
@Lukuz13 - You can still get them and as Twilight mentioned, the sword and armor stats rise as yours do, even if it's not in your possession. However, Umbra will be really really tough to defeat, and may take more than just a few zaps.
Please forgive me if i somehow missed this but... lets say you have x30 minor healing scrolls and you use them to dupelicate something. do your 30 scrolls go away? or do you still have them?
An oxymoron is generally an adjective and a noun together, whereby the adjective describes the noun in a way that seems opposite to the noun's nature (jumbo shrimp, for example). "More" is an intensifier to the adverb "easily" which describes the ease at which something is accomplished, such as that melting ice is more easily performed by school children than melting iron. Also, you misspelled "grammar" twice ^_^
Umbra is probably the most powerful sword you can freely get within 15 minutes of leaving the sewers. For a madness ore sword, you've got to travel to the Shivering Isles and find all the ore, plus the plans for the smith to make you one, which is a bit longer than 15 min =P

I meant the best available according to your level in the game (because different armor and such can be found at different levels). Some call it cheating, some call it exploiting game flaws ^_^
well I personally think your playing on easy difficulty because Umbra is a tough cookie to bite and to kill her with 1 hit is pretty extreme since shes always level 50 :S but i have killed her on my low level character after getting 100 marksman on it first though and used the pillar so not to be attacked :p but ARE YOU CRAZY! you just dropped a 3000 gold+ item when you could still carry it!!
Yeah, I think it was set on the easy end of the difficulty bar. When you can dupe like before, there's not much sense in keeping something for its $ value =P
Oh my. This duplicating trick is very handy. XD I did exactly what you said and it did work, and I duped a bunch of grand soul gems (with grand souls) and bought the apotheosis. Now I just run around owning everything with it, and if the charge runs out I'll refill it with a limitless supply of gems XD
Yup! I do that with heal potions (and/or magicka potions, if I use magic much), and hot key them so all I have to do is press up on the D-Pad (x360) and bingo, I'm healed/recharged. Also works with Invisibility potions in case you get in a bind and need to escape, and with Fortify Strength potions you get over encumbered ^_^
Yea same here. I made a few really good healing potions, like 28 health for 72 seconds so I never have to worry about dying. I made a fortify strength 38 points potion, which gives 190 more weight capacity, and if I need to I'll dupe those, use a few, and also a beast of burden scroll that gives feather 250 pts on self :D even then I can still manage to become over encumbered if I loot everything in a gate :O
I have never made a potion that permanently increased one of my stats. If it says fortify strength on self and then gives an amount of time afterward, then it is temporary.
If you don't have the Nighteye spell, you can always search a vid about the rare Glass helm, Fin Gleam. It has Waterbreathe and Nighteye permanent affects, so you don't have to worry about getting to a certain dungeon in a Knights of Nine quest.
You can make your own "strongest" by enchanting it with Sigil Stones that have a "shield" quality to them. Check out my 100% Chameleon video, to see how to do it, but just change out the "chameleon" for "shield" instead.
yeah the apotheosis really comes in handy..especially when you have 10 skeleton hero's coming at you all at once with glass longswords,bows and claymores =)
I honestly don't know how in the world a conjurer got ahold of that axe. I looked up conjurer stats, and all of them, at all levels, carry a dagger and a staff. He matched the picture of a conjurer spot on.
I'm guessing because you're probably a higher level than me in this video. The video is a level 1, and the armor levels with you (gets stronger as you get stronger).
But that also means that the armor is worth more if you pick it up at a higher level? Because it seems to me that though the armor rating will go up at your game, the value of the armor does not.
a bit of advice, if you want the night-eye but don't want to start a new game, there is an item called fin gleam which gives permanent night-eye when equipped (helmet). just look it up for a guide to find it.
XD this guide works awesomely but whenever i go to kill umbra and use the staff thing i just attack her from a distance a run, lure, zap, lure, zap and then take her st00f :D also another way of duping is i think clear the x box cache and then punch the air then while in the middle of punching go to inventory and drop the desired item and it drops like 30 of that item :D
It's the highest rated armor you can get from just out of the sewers. Any armor is conceivably "the best" overall, depending on what you intend to do with it =P
Not everything. Some things like quest items (Amulet of Kings, Nirnroot, etc) won't, and some other random things like *some* items marked stolen, and other various bits that will dupe on some saves but not on others even on the same machine.
OR, you just buy all the bound spells in chorrol, bound them on your character, summon a pathetic skeleton, hit it 3 times, make it damege the armor, then you kill the pathetic skeleton, then you repair the armor, then you drop it on the ground, then you wait for the time to run out, then you pick it up, and you got a daeric armor twice as good as umbras =D
ok and if i did ask you i couldnt do the glitch because i sent this message a long time ago so if i did ask you it does work and at the moment a have like a billion coins from the glitch lol (^_^)
I followed all the steps but when I got to the staff, for some reason it wouldn't dupe it, so i did it with some saphires and bought a sword and it worked fine O.o
If you're a higher level, you may have to zap her more than once. Just stand on one of the high stones in the room that she can't reach and zap her multiple times with the staff shown in the video.
I zapped umbra like 15 time and she won't die. She kills me in 1 hit

Now I just run around owning everything with it, and if the charge runs out I'll refill it with a limitless supply of gems XD

Yup! I do that with heal potions (and/or magicka potions, if I use magic much), and hot key them so all I have to do is press up on the D-Pad (x360) and bingo, I'm healed/recharged. Also works with Invisibility potions in case you get in a bind and need to escape, and with Fortify Strength potions you get over encumbered ^_^

Yea same here. I made a few really good healing potions, like 28 health for 72 seconds so I never have to worry about dying. I made a fortify strength 38 points potion, which gives 190 more weight capacity, and if I need to I'll dupe those, use a few, and also a beast of burden scroll that gives feather 250 pts on self :D even then I can still manage to become over encumbered if I loot everything in a gate :O

I have never made a potion that permanently increased one of my stats. If it says fortify strength on self and then gives an amount of time afterward, then it is temporary.

If you don't have the Nighteye spell, you can always search a vid about the rare Glass helm, Fin Gleam. It has Waterbreathe and Nighteye permanent affects, so you don't have to worry about getting to a certain dungeon in a Knights of Nine quest.

strongest light armor is the glass armor and you can find it on bandits or maradeurs all over cyrodill but you havr to have the right level..

You can make your own "strongest" by enchanting it with Sigil Stones that have a "shield" quality to them. Check out my 100% Chameleon video, to see how to do it, but just change out the "chameleon" for "shield" instead.

at 2:22 you can see the dude with a Deadric Axe? When i killed this dude at level one he had an iron shortsword.

I honestly don't know how in the world a conjurer got ahold of that axe. I looked up conjurer stats, and all of them, at all levels, carry a dagger and a staff. He matched the picture of a conjurer spot on.

I'm guessing because you're probably a higher level than me in this video. The video is a level 1, and the armor levels with you (gets stronger as you get stronger).

But that also means that the armor is worth more if you pick it up at a higher level? Because it seems to me that though the armor rating will go up at your game, the value of the armor does not.

I would presume that higher armor levels mean higher prices. If you dupe for money, prices are insignificant.

a bit of advice, if you want the night-eye but don't want to start a new game, there is an item called fin gleam which gives permanent night-eye when equipped (helmet). just look it up for a guide to find it.

XD this guide works awesomely but whenever i go to kill umbra and use the staff thing i just attack her from a distance a run, lure, zap, lure, zap and then take her st00f :D also another way of duping is i think clear the x box cache and then punch the air then while in the middle of punching go to inventory and drop the desired item and it drops like 30 of that item :D

It's the highest rated armor you can get from just out of the sewers. Any armor is conceivably "the best" overall, depending on what you intend to do with it =P

Not everything. Some things like quest items (Amulet of Kings, Nirnroot, etc) won't, and some other random things like *some* items marked stolen, and other various bits that will dupe on some saves but not on others even on the same machine.

OR, you just buy all the bound spells in chorrol, bound them on your character, summon a pathetic skeleton, hit it 3 times, make it damege the armor, then you kill the pathetic skeleton, then you repair the armor, then you drop it on the ground, then you wait for the time to run out, then you pick it up, and you got a daeric armor twice as good as umbras =D

I followed all the steps but when I got to the staff, for some reason it wouldn't dupe it, so i did it with some saphires and bought a sword and it worked fine O.o

If you're a higher level, you may have to zap her more than once. Just stand on one of the high stones in the room that she can't reach and zap her multiple times with the staff shown in the video.
