It didnt actually happen like this The 2 guys were in different locations they were both wearing Kevlar jackets which can stop any pistol bullet from a close or a long range position The 2 guys were using RPK. then they got a vehicle and escaped one of them was killed by officers the other one ran for a couple of minutes before he stoped he ran out of ammo and used his pistol
