ADB has several projects including the proposed Trans-Afghanistan Gas Pipeline. This project is stalled because of apparent Taliban control in an area the shareholders of ADB want the pipeline to go through Afghan. I don't know for certain right now why this info is not widely known or talked about by the citizens of the U.S & the Marines in Afghan.

@davejsmith actually it was the Roman Catholic Church who did the horrible things because true Christians, Jews and Muslims would not bow down and worship the pope as God Himself. The Roman Catholic Church persecuted, tortured and murdered true Christians, Jews and Muslims refused to bow down to the pope who was a human man as God and that is why the pope and the Roman Catholic Church who did these horrible things.

And finally, what the hell happened to the concepts of being better than the enemy, of not stooping to their level? Without adequate disciplinary action, including prosecution under the Geneva Convention for desecrating the corpses of enemy combatants, the US Military will be viewed as little more than a very well equipped gang of thugs (if they are not already viewed as such).

It also begs the question, if these are "18, 19, 20-year-old kids who make stupid mistakes all too often" then what the hell are they doing being given automatic weapons, artillery and air support and sent out into an arena where making a "stupid mistake" gets a lot of people killed? Forgive me, but I thought that was a job for highly trained, motivated and above all *disciplined* soldiers, not for kids you wouldn't trust to clean your car without pissing in the fuel tank.

1) Patton did not urinate on enemy corpses, he urinated in the Rhine river in the middle of a 200-ft long pontoon bridge.
2) Churchill did not urinate on enemy corpses, he urinated on the Siegfried Line to show his disdain for Hitler's "line of death".
3) As with the mutilation of Japanese corpses in the WW2 Pacific campaign, this only entrenches the view of the American military as savage animals, “deranged, primitive, racist and inhuman” as the Japanese reported it.
