question... I'm studying the Bible in Chinese and it's got tons of words I don't know. Can Pleco run the Bible in Chinese? I have the chinese bible as an app, maybe.. can it open that?
@kentoakowen There's no bible plugin built-in, but you can easily download a Chinese Bible as a text file (look for the "Chinese Union Version" or "CUV," that's a public-domain one) and load it into the Pleco document reader. Or if your Bible app lets you copy out a couple of paragraphs' worth of text to the pasteboard, you could do that and bring up Pleco's pasteboard document reader to tap-lookup words in that.
Awesome! This is simply the nicest Chinese dictionary I've seen yet. Hopefully it will be available soon so that I can buy it in order to use during my second quarter semester of Mandarin. 谢谢!
This is amazing! So much better than anything out there for Android. Please please port it :D You could even charge extra for it to compensate for the initial risk...
Not initially, though we'd certainly be open to adding one - we're actually a bit worried Apple will decide that split-screen views don't fit their Human Interface Guidelines and force us to take out the one in the dictionary mode, so we'd rather get that past them first.
good information but delivered too fast for me to follow...of course, maybe its me...

so can you draw a character that you don't know and then easily look up the definition for that character?

awesome, Pleco was the reason I got a WM phone in the first place, when the iPhone gets a decent screen I'll definitely consider switching over

Will there also be a split screen mode for the reader like in the WM version? Sometimes I find the popups a bit fatiquing on my eyes.
