In terms of design, the Madone is no better or worse than any other bikes of similar level on the market, though with a nod to Cervelo, I'd reckon that an S3 vs a Madone 6.9 with identical component groups and equally skilled riders, the Cervelo rider would come out on top because of sheer technical innovation. The Cervelo may have a few hundred grams on the Madone, but it's aero design and beefier chainstays would throw the Madone under the bus any day.
