I take that back. This game is basically Metroid Fusion, but with voiced cutscenes, and cut in half.

M:F had 6 zones, and all very big and lot's of secrets to find and crap to explore.

M:OM has 3 zones...all of which are terrible. It just feels like a badly put together game. I'm gonna get flamed for it, but I don't care. I've been playing Metroid since I was 4, and this is the sorriest excuse for a Metroid game ever.

@sleinfer I agree. I can't wait to play Metroid Other M, but I'm pissed off too because I'd prefer to play an adventure AFTER the chronologicaly last one. We see Dr. Adam, which calls Samus "Lady" is still alive in this game, but dead in Fusion.

Well, it's a japanese game... I don't know why they put new games out of sequence. Street Fighter 4, for example, is passed BEFORE Street Fighter 3 (that crap), like Samurai Shodown is chronologicaly 5, 1, 3, 4, 2, 6... The japanese do that a lot. =/

But if i am not mistaken, Samus is being called "Lady" in Fusion near the end by ... what is that computer named again.. urgh, forgot it.

But, I find the story of the prime trilogy to be told good, but I miss some pieces in the Zero Mission - fusion. Though I do want to find more about Samus.. more than Ridley leading the attack that killed her parents and all that.

@legendaryplayer The computer in Fusion is Adam's memories. He probably will die in Other M.

About Samus' personal life story, I think showed enough by telling us that her parents were killed by the space pirates and that she's rebel to the Federation. I think that's enough, when the game focuses too much in the main character's life and not in the mission, it can screw up. Like the last Tomb Raider games, they focused Lara Croft's personal life too much, not her missions.

I am the biggest Metroid fan is the world but the 1 thing i hate about it is that it dosent let you use the game cube controller on the Wii versions ! or the wii gaming controller which i have only managed to make work on Mario cart , in stead of making it only for wii it should be for game cube as well so you can use the game cube controller or just put an option to use the game cube or wii gaming controller in the options menu ! simple
