ok ok I cant believe some things I read on here.... This is my car, It only has 1 belt that runs everything. The motor will not sieze without the belt, luckily I was close to home when this happened so I had enough reserve in the battery to make it home and put on a new belt.

But there is something that bugs me...

If you're engine is supercharged... How can it have ONE belt? I mean is your supercharger and generator run by the same belt?

And if the supercharger belt had snapped It would probably seize to work assuming you run a roots type supercharger, but not disintegrate like it would if the timing belt had snapped.

I have a paxton Novi 2000 on my car and i've broken the belt a few times, what do you think is going to happen when you drive your car without the water pump flowing? Drive it long enough with no belt and it sure will seize.

Thats kinda funny, and impressive. you can hear the high speed air stop flowing when it breaks. and you managed to continue the burnout. by the way, even if the serpentine belt went instead the motor could have continued to run until the battery runs too low on juice to power the fuel pump. which take a lot more then the spark plugs believe it or not.
