  • These are wonderful slides of Dhahran in the old days. My grandfather was district manager of Dhahran, 1951-1957. His name was Ken Webster. My mother is his youngest daughter. They lived on King's Road. We have some similar slides in our family collection. Yours are excellent! Thank you for sharing these.

  • Many thanks for comment, & the information. I may have photo for your grandfather. I have 3 photos for the demolition of the district manger building at Dhahran. There is no date on them, but they must be dated before 1959. In the first photo group of people standing in front of the building before the excavator start destroying the building. I have recognized 2 persons MR Fred Davis, & William Eltiste both were retired in 1959. If you would like I can send copy of these photos on your email.

  • I was able to visit Dhahran last March, 32 years after leaving. My old house, which was directly across King's Road from the barber shop, has been torn down for a parking lot. Don't know the names you listed but I'm sure my dad, who was with Aramco from 1947 - 77, knew the familes. It was a small town back then. Can't wait for your next posts.

  • Found this confusing until I realized that the slide is reversed. That's my old house in the upper right. 1153. Gone now I'm afraid.

  • Most of the houses are still there. On 2007 the company has removed the old baseball field near the library it is park now. Do you know any of these kids? 1 Bobby 2Bockis.3 Cathy Ames(date 1959). Also Frank & Beth Myers 1963 last Lucie who was living in house #1035 I think these photos were taken by guy his name Johns William, Later on I will post more slides for Dhahran from 1950s, to 1960s, and 8mm films for DH, and RT in 1960s, &1970s
