the first (and biggest) is how absolutely beautiful the piano was. it was just absolutely stunningly played. i've heard it played many times, but this was by far the best.

I didnt like the faster and slower bits, i felt you speeded up too much, a little would've been okay, but you stressed it a little too much. Also the whole piece is in piano or pianissimo, at one point you sounded like you were in forte, the only part loud is when the density of it is high (the improvisation when you play all the notes together) other than that it was great, and yes, indeed a masterpiece. However i felt the speed and dynamics was a bit too radical. I would give that Four stars!!

@BULL3T5T0RM the pianist was not trying to play the piece like every other person. he was intentionally making it his own. the slow downs and speed ups, the loud and softs are all his expression and interpretation of the piece. it is radical, yes, that's what art is supposed to be.

Don't get me wrong, both players were excellent. and this was a beautiful recreation of the song.

However, I can't help but feel that the dramatic changes in tempo, while pretty well-suited for the piano, were somewhat out of place on the Ocarina.

What's generally done for instruments without a wide (or any) dynamic range is to instead vary articulation and tempo in order to generate a feeling of "loudness" when you can't otherwise.

I think that technique probably could've and should've been utilized in this video, but otherwise it's pretty solid regardless.
