  • When was growing up, my parents had the best of Eddie ARnold Album, I always thought it was god awful music when i was younger. BUT now, I just downloaded several songs from that album on i-tunes. What a great voice. I guess I've grown to be just like my parents - which is a good thing, Thanks Mom & Dad.

  • What a voice. One of the greatest crooners. A casette tape of his early recordings made the early 90's a lot more fun for me being in a foreing country. I played the tape constantly.

  • Eddy was a big hit in Brooklyn when I lived there in the 1940s and early 1950s. He was the same at that time as he was last week.

One of God's Pleasures for the human race.

  • Nice singer nice song to remember his legacy.

  • What a singer. Class Act !!! RIP Mr. Arnold

  • He was full of class grace and a true gentleman married to the same women for 66 years! now that says allot! They say he died from a broken heart, as his wife of 66 yeras died in March of 08..

  • Thank you rustboy for that information - makes him even more to appreciate - sadly reminds me of what I believe took good Johhny Cash and June Carter.

  • Why don't you just grow up?! Your nasty comments betray an immaturity, hostility and ignorance that is truly breathtaking....

  • thats really sick. :/

nobody wants to hear or read that.

  • chuckle!

  • your sick

  • I hope you mean woman, not women.

  • Richard Edward Arnold

  • Rest in Peace Mr. Arnold.

Did you know he was considered radical in his day? He was the first Country Singer to appear on stage with just a microphone.

First Country singer to appear in a tuxedo.

He brought Country music out of the moonshine hills and into the city.

    Class act indeed!

  • God bless Eddy Arnold. His voice exuded such kindness. We could use more of that today.

  • A class act!

  • Who the hell wants to hang with you? It just shows you in maturity grow up!

  • Great clip.. Thank you.

  • Good Clip...

    Rest in peace Eddie

  • Great Clip -

There was a time......when you could tell one country singer from another, and the songs were better written and not so formulaic...

I sure miss those times - Rest in Peace, Mr. Arnold

  • A true legend.

  • TE LE PLU FOR

  • First time I received Mr. Arnold's records was in mid 1940s from WWVA, Wheeling West VA. I was able to pick up the station while living in Brooklyn, NY, Been a fan ever since.

  • Smooth personified

  • absolutely wonderful!!! thank you so much..

I am 52 and think Eddy id great since my mom started getting his albums in the 60's. My daughter is claire marie, so I am trying to find mary claire melvina rebeca jane

  • I'm 56 myself. My Mom also loved Eddy. We still have a number of LPs from the 1960s. When I visit Mom we often play them even now because not all of the songs are available on CDs. I never realized till a couple of days ago, when after he died I've been watching a number of Eddy Arnold videos here on YouTube, how many people our age think the world of Eddy and his music. "Mary Claire Melvina Rebecca Jane" is a great song. It's on the 1965 album "My World."

  • I do not mean to invade your space - I am just a shade younger than you and it was my Mom and Dad and their love for him plus several other Country Gents and Ladies I grew to appreciate many of them. Our world was richer for guys like Eddy for sure.

  • Hi jodyrea

As far as I'm concerned you're not invading my space or anybody else's. In fact, I enjoy meeting people on YouTube who love Eddy and his music as much as I do. God bless.

    Mike

  • Thank you Mike - My favorite - Cattle Call

  • very good video

  • Another great one by Eddy, weren't they all, Thank You. Love this song, sure brings back wonderful memories.

  • I got this song on a Readers Digest Collection of Eddy on several records

  • Thanks so much for this. I'm 57 years old and have been an Eddy Arnold Fan since the 4th grade. Videos of him performing are hard to come by. If you have any others, please put them on. Thanks again.

  • Hey Steve

I'm 56 myself and have been a fan since I was in high school. Forty years later I only appreciate him more. My Mom, who is 86, has loved Eddy since his first record release back in 1945. Glad to see from watching a number of Eddy Arnold videos that a lot of guys our age were big fans. He was a class act all the way, a real gentleman and an incomparable talent. He'll sure be missed.

    Take care.

    Mike

  • This is absolutely AWESOME!! I got to meet him and hear him sing this in person. He was as beautiful inside as his voice is on the outside. Thank you for posting this I certainly do appreciate it!!

  • How lucky you are to have met him. I sure wish I had. But somehow I still feel like I knew him. We've lost not only a rare talent but a good friend. You put it well: he WAS as beautiful inside as his voice was on the outside. That may be the real secret of his gift, and the reason his passing has had such an effect on us all. Rest in peace, Eddy, and thanks for sharing your incomparable gift with us. You will be missed.

  • I FINALLY FOUND IT! YAYAYAYAYAY!

  • Great to find it! Mr. Arnold is the favorite of almost 55 years! (Since 1948!) If you have any other tracks taped at the same venue,(or anywhere else, for that matter), please post them!

    Thanks!

    bedpan88

  • I see you're 77. God bless. My Mom is 86 and like yourself has loved Eddy since the 1940s

I'm 56 myself and have thought the world of both the man and his music since the mid 60s when I was in high school. I was delighted to find that a 28 year-old DJ (user name Dave Swinger) posted "Here Comes Heaven" two days ago. It was on the 1968 album "The Everlovin' World of Eddy Arnold." Though I have a number of his albums from that era I don't have that one and had never heard this song before.

  • Great talent.
