  • How much boost are you running? I have a supercharged one myself on 12lbs and haven't gotten a chance to take it to the track yet but Id think it would be faster than this... I'd say it should be running closer to a 13.5 with a good launch and grippier tires. Anyways, nice to see another eap runnin boost!

  • Hey, I just ran my 2006 Focus zx4 se down Englishtown this past Friday. As far as lowering your tire pressures, there is a Wawa just down the road from the track. They have an air pump there. My friend and I lowered our drive tires down to 20 psi, and put them back to spec at Wawa when we left. And as far as the take-off goes, rev it up somewhere between 2000 and 2500 rpm, and when its time to go, slip the clutch. My friend and I both do that, and we take off just fine and we dont spin. (Option)

  • DADDY!! lol kid

  • I know your trying to make it launch quicker but how about in passing and in real life racing situation, once the car gets going? I mean 14.4 at 99.. is like e36 M3 speed so its not exactly slow, but I can tell by the trap speed that you're SVT should get better times. Does it feel fast overall?

  • How much the supercharger cost u?

  • You can get it. Get rid of the back seats, low fuel level, and go when you can with the colder weather we are having. Possibly remove the headlight to snorkle and direct air into filter. Same issues as I was having was with my launch. But our 1st, 2nd gearing is killing us.

But seriously that half second takes a lot. Need a 60' of around 2.1 buddy. Some serious sticky tires and a high rev launch lol.

  • @audiostank Hey Tim. I did have a lot of the interior removed and a low fuel level, the temperature was plenty cold that night, and my hood feeds directly into the airbox. My major problem was wheel hop; you can even hear it in the video... I backed off the throttle as it happened and that killed my time when the clutch caught early. Tires are not good, but I need to figure out how to kill that wheel hop (probably poly bushings in the front control arms).

  • @HiImCaysE Ahh gotcha. Yea, poly bushing in the control arms would help. You have all poly motor mounts?

  • @audiostank Na, just the lower mount. I definitely need to get that front end refreshed cause it's getting sloppy.

  • @HiImCaysE lower the tire pressure it might help

  • @suazzzz I was planning to increase pressure in the back and lower the fronts, but apparently they had moved the air pumps and I didn't know where they were, so I just ran at stock pressures. I'll definitely be doing that next time, though.

  • who won? i couldnt tell

  • @twaldo100 I did despite a pretty bad launch. You can see the timing board light up on my side first.
