Think of the new generations to come. Iraq is rich. It can do much for its people. But only if its people do good for Iraq.
I stopped listening when the stupid woman playing host for this "documentary" called the retaliation to the US invasion an "insurgency". Defending your country against a foreign power is PATRIOTISM, not INSURGENCY.
Oh, and they had classical music playing in the background while showing the Bush Administration. Something that should never happen.
When it comes to Iraq, what are we "defending" against? Where are the nearly two million Iraqi Christians? How are they doing? This is from the new constitution of Iraq. Is this your understanding of democracy? Just asking.
Article (2): 1st — Islam is the official religion of the state and is a basic source of legislation: (a) No law can be passed that contradicts the undisputed rules of Islam.
Article (3): Iraq is part of the Islamic world and its Arab people are part of the Arab nation.
@deanrdd -- Indeed, what are we 'defending' against? The war in the Middle East is ALL about serving the interests of Wall Street, global central banks, Fortune 500 Corporations & fanatic rightwing idealogues. The wars (plural) are spreading, symptom of a new neofeudalism on behalf of western Imperialism, where our democratic ideals are subverted by junk politics & undermined by Mafia Capitalism. The CIA continues as the world's premiere terrorist organization. Remember, Saddam was a US puppet.
It is plan to see that one facet of the "war on terrorism" is another way for Southern redneck "patriots" to hate another group of people. Since it is now unacceptable to express hate for African Americans, the new object of redneck "patriots'" hate are Muslims, especially from the Middle East.
This is shown by the generalized hate for Muslims and the degrading of their religious beliefs...
Of course it was one of his doubles. This one was the lawyer one, I remember he had one double who was a lawyer. I thought he put on an excellent defense for Sadam. It was a Kangaroo court.
Terrorist fired on his motorcade. He rounded them up, took them to Gitmo, tortured them, gave them a fare Gitmo trial, and hanged them (except on who with the help of a court appointed lawyer got off).
Freedom is the right of the people to live their lives as they see fit.
But these Western Judaic-Christians idea of 'democracy' is to shove their fncking ideologies/religion down every one's throats.
Their "freedom" for non-white non-Christian country? Like in Iraq? US divided and pitched Iraqi Kurds to rebel against Saddam, then Shiites vs Sunnis, and now US/UK is literally colonizing Iraq again. Same old evil tricks!
Muslims, including the radical ones, are not terrorists. Imagine someone take over your house, rape your wife and kill your children, how would you react?
Check the first video in "my favorite" section. What beautiful and exotic Arabic rhythms! What a brilliant celebration of Chinese Sunni Muslims - the racially and culturally mixed Uygurs.

If you like your Muzpuppies so much, why don't you volunteer your Commie ass over there and support them. I had the opportunity to observe the "Islamic warriors" up close and personal during Desert Storm. They desperately need anyone that would actually fight.
They're desperate for anyone to fight? Then why cant your silly army get a hold on the violence that has killed thousands of Americans and the majority of Americans support a complete withdrawal from a war that has been nothing short of a disaster.
Hey Paulo, when was the last time you saw a uniformed Islamic "warrior" opposing the Americans? We crushed the little savages in 3weeks, all they can do is disruot an occupation.
Read the Geneva Convention. Real soldiers wear uniforms. If the Mahdi "Army" or Al-Qaeda want to conduct military operations, why are they too terrified to wear a uniform? It prevents civilian casualties. At least, that is how advanced and civilized people conduct themselves. I can see you have ZERO military experience.
I am certainly not going to defend or speak for Al-Qaeda as they are as brutal as your shitty government but the vast majority of resistance groups within Iraq are built from the bottom up from villages and civilians. Its absolutely erroneous of you to compare them to an established state military war-craft.
You do also realise that the Mahdi Army have a uniform.
First, there a large number of foreign jihadists in Iraq, eprhaps the Portugal papers have not picked up on this fact. Second, even local militias have a tradition of donning uniforms, but that would disrupt their ability to hide in schools, hospitals, and mosques. I have seen this behavior with my own eyes. Deny it if you wish, but even the Shiites have been complaining about these Sunni tactics.
As I wrote previously I make no excuses for Al-Qaeda and their foreign forces in Iraq. You chastise them for fighting in a country that is not theirs but !HELLO! your American forces are still there when the majority of Iraqis want to see the back of you.
Local militias are hiding in schools and hospitals - what a sick joke! This is the sort of shit that your government pedals to demonise the local resistance groups in Iraq that want want you to leave! No one wants you so fuck off!
Unlike your cowardly fatass, I have actually seen combat, and observed the Islamic "warriors." If you choose to ignore the plethora of evidence documenting the performance of the Islamic cowards, that is fine. You have every right to be as blissfully ignorant as you choose. You may want to buy a Koran, I believe you would make an excellent Muzmuppet.
Do you expect me to believe that these "Islamic warriors" fight and hide out in hospitals and schools as part of their day to day combat? Old man your fellow American fools may believe such tripe on face value but please show me this "plethora of evidence" that you have!
LOL you called me a "fatass". Great comeback old man!
You are probably a fat little wanker conducting your little on-line jihad. Those of us who have been in the military can spot you fruitcakes easily. If you would like to read about your beloved "warriors," start with Farhana Ali on Global Terrorism Analysis. You can then read the Iraqi Perspectives Project. Finally, you can go to the GlobalSecuritydotorg website and read their January 2003 report on Iraq.
Sorry to document how cowardly your jihad buddies are, but reality sometimes sucks.
Hahaha keep on deluding yourself - Im certainly not fat and get lots of attention and my family have lots of money. I am everything Americans love to hate about Europeans.
So the evidence that you want to give me is from the US military and US administration itself who initially argued that Saddam had WMDs. Do you actually have reputable evidence ?
LOLOL...pathetic little wanker. Of course, everyone on Youtube is this, fit, and wealthy. The only thing we Americans tend to dislike about Europeans is their lack of education about radical Islam and their constant cowardice. We had to save you from the Nazis, the Commies, and now Muzpuppies.
I can see reading comprehension is not your forte. None of the sources I gave you came from either the military or the Government. The senior fellow for GTA happens to be a Brit.
You are absolutely lying when you say that the Iraqi Perspectives Project is not related to the US military or the government. As for the homepage of the GTA it is littered with information directly from the US Dept of Homeland Security.
Cheers to the brave American who saves the world! Now hurry up the commercial break on TV is almost up.
I stand corrected on the Iraqi Perspectives Project, it was funded by the govt. I was wrong. However, to dismiss the GTA indicates that you have zero objectivity when faced with evidence that does not suit your viewpoint.
Damn right you are wrong! And you expect me to accept the GTA at face value when it quotes "evidence" from the same government department that categorically claimed that Saddam had WMD.
I had hoped that you see that two INDEPENDENT studies indeed document that your beloved Muzmuppies are cowards. As I noted earlier, I guess reading comprehension is not your forte, and you do not have the ability to even try to be objective.
Where exactly do you expect them to get some of their information? they use data from the govt, military, NGOs, UN, and a variety of sources. Let me guess, Al-Jazeerah is independent, but Fox News is biased...LOL
Are you stupid? The GTA is run by a conservative think-tank that boasts Dick Cheney as a former board member! I am well aware of their agenda.
I never once claimed Al-Jazeera to be independent, it is blissfully silent when it comes to Qatar's own serious faults or when it loses in the football. Admittedly Al-Jazeera's own political standing is far closer to my politics than Fox News but I do certainly do not take the former as gospel.
Are you fucking stupid! I dont care that there are some Europeans in the GTA! The reality is you are asking me to take on face value reports from a think-tank that was once headed by Cheney who also reported that Iraq had WMDs!
You are a fucking idiot! Most normal people develop a strong sense of critical thinking when they are fed evidence on WMD threats that end up to be lies but not you, ignorantly accepting anything that crosses your path that validates your own cultural ignorance.
Your little community college education has not prepared you to discuss complex geopolitical issues. such foundations have board members from BOTH sides of the political aisle, to enhance fundraising. Zbigniew Brzezinski, a ardent opponent of Operation Iarqi Freedom is a current member of the board.
Your inability to comprehend how other nations political structures operate are painfully obvious.
Europeans have a lack of education about radical islam? Hahaaa...Europeans have been fighting the middle east for centuries, what the f are you talking about. And as saving Europeans from the Nazis....buddy, it was in your best interest to join the war.
I agree that joining the war was also in our best interest. It was about the only useful thing FDR accomplished. Perhaps I should have modified my statement to say MODERN Western europeans have a lack of education of the dangers of radical Islam. Satisfied?
Europeans have been dealing with the blowback from brutal North African colonialism for decades. It has nothing to do with "radical Islam", its political, like 99 percent of what is called "terrorism". Dr. Robert Pape's seminal work 'dying to win" clearly proves this. And dont start whining about WW11. America sat on its ass for 4 years while the allied forces did the heavy lifting. Only after Pearl Habor did it enter. Nothing to do with the Third Reich. That was an afterthought.
I actually have a lot of respect for Pape's work, although his attempt to lump Muzmuppet behavior with other terror groups is simplisitic and ignores several realities. He does not explain Islam's long history of sectarian violence within it's own religion.
Since you accuse America of sitting on the side for four years, I have to assume you assign the beginning of WWII to the second Sino-Japanese War. Given the conduct of Europe after WWII, how can you fault Americans for isolationism?
Oh yes and the various Christian sects lived in harmony from the get go within their religion! Intra-Christian violence has a history and toll that far surpasses that of Islam.
I know it is difficult, but try and confine the discussion to modern history. Christianity has many dark chapters of history, but in case you missed the last fifty years, Islam is now in need of Reformation.
What don't I like about Islam? We can start with the rampant terrorism and violence. We could then explore the honor killings, brutality toward women, beheadings, and ritualistic disfigurement of women. We could then discuss the virtual lack of any secular goverment in those societies, and the prevelence of despots. Next would be failure of most Islamic societies to provide basic necessities for their people, and failure of Muslim immigrants to successsfully integrate into host countries.
Phana24JeffG, you are joking right? US has the highest prison population in the world today and you talking about muslim rapist/killings. Think you had better put that argument in the closet where it belongs. Have you been on the internet to view how many convicted pedophiles are located within blocks of your home, go look, scary stuff.
@Phana24JeffG -- God how FuckiN retarded; 40,000 murders and over 100,000 violent rapes per year happen in the US DESPITE more than 1.2 million convicted offenders being in prison. The whole damned society is breaking down because organized corruption, hypocrisy, racism, sexism, discrimination, violence, crime, fraud & misfeasance are rewarded. These are symptoms of a class war being diverted & disguised by elite special interests thru injustice, ignorance, prejudice, exploitation & lies.
You do realise much of what you just mentioned are tribal customs that pre-date Islam.
Secular government! LOL! The American is chastising another people for mixing religion and politics! So tell me again why your government forbids the distribution of condoms to AIDS stricken areas of Africa?
Brasil has the largest population of Arabs outside the Middle East and their own assimilation has been a successful one.
If they are merely tribal customs, why do acclaimed "Islamic scholars" proclaim them for the savages to undertake? You are completely clueless about radical Muzmuppetry.
@Phana24JeffG -- Hmmm -- You don't seem to have a problem w/ hypocritical 'moral majority' crusaders mobilizing gullible middle American masses, dictating religious values AND customs -- & forcing laws based on Christian principles re: birth control, abortion, gay marriage -- really petty issues next to ignoring crimes of institutionalized murder, bureacratic theft of trillions, electoral fraud, endemic political & business corruption, profiteering via unjustified wars & subverting Constitution.
On that note we clearly see, contrary to what israel-appeasing antiAmerican scum like you spew, its you who deosnt have a clue about whats going on...Not a frickin clue.......Next.
LOLOL...always nice to hear from the moonbats. You pathetic little faggot-loving, anti-Semetic, loony liberals are composed of the retarded, uneducated, and himan debris of American society. STFU, real Americans are busy defending your ignorant ass.
Lack of education? You really mean the government propaganda machine is not as virulent in Europe as it is your shitty country.
I live across the water from the Islamic countries of N.Africa and absolutely feel no threat whatsoever. Europeans have far closer relations by virtue of this geography, you just look from afar from your own Puritan ideology.
The lack of education comment was directed at Neocon, but it is interesting you assumed it was directed at you. I am glad you are so comfortable with Muzmuppets, perhaps we American will not bother to your rescue again.
It is not my fault your nation has such a cowardly chapter in modern history. You limp-wristed lard-asses were of no use to us or the Brits in Desert Storm, and it is obvious you are oblivious to the dangers of radical Islam.
Again, across the water from where I live is over 100 million people from the Islamic faith. We have lived in relative peace for hundreds of years so why the fuck would I take your word as gospel when you live on another part of the planet!
hmm. Bush is moved by the Neo Con worldview. Neo Con, as voiced by the PNAC think tank, call for global American empire. They did this back in 1998, before 9.11.01. Al Qaida was simply a pretext for American imperial sprawl. And yes, empire grows by dividing peoples so they are more easily conquered. America IS a world empire, period.
Hard to have an empire when you are up to your neck in debt - Iraq is the beginning of the end for the American global reach and we can see this all over the world, from Latin America and the emergence of China.
Who is going to defeat us, the superpower of Portugal?? LOLOLOL. Only a moron with little knowledge would assert that a nation with public debt at 67% of Gross Domestic Product to be "up to your neck."
Get a clue, Sparky, you are in way over your head.
They have printed a new currency. It will be interesting if it lasts if there isn't debt forgiveness and serious rebuilding effort isn't implemented. Without a total end to insurgency it will be difficult for their economy to recover.
TO CstroT64:About visiting the troops in Iraq; He (Obama) has to get the party nomination before he campaigns on that level. And if he didn't have to campaign in different states-until today- he would have went. I'm sure he is in support of his troops, and will make an appearance in due time
Even the militias are fighting the extremists in Iraq. The religious extremist threat to the world is a lie. America claims it is fighting an "insurgency." This too is a lie. Defending ones home, family, and neighborhood does NOT qualify as an insurgency. "Divide and Conquer," is a term just as relevant for Iran as it is for America when it comes to geo-political strategy. Much more so for the latter of the two....
Paulo has as much knowledge of current affairs as he does military science. If you learn how to conduct a Google search, you will realize that the USA does not have either diplomatic or consular relation with the Primitive Islamic Republic of Iran.
The only embarrassment should be the author of the post which clearly implied the USA had relations with Iran. We know you can't write very well, and now we see you cannot read.
LOL! Now the American wants to give me tips on English grammar! You have no grounds to discuss the situation in Iraq so now you want to discuss the lack of a comma and structure in my previous post.
Bravo! This must be the highlight of your life so far!
Governments should never kill their own people no matter who they are... If your government does not respect all life, then your life has a limited value. It gets scary when you are not the one to decide that value.
Very Good Aljazeera. A little too much propaganda.
Shiites, Balhs, Sunnis... What are they like.. Political Parties? As much as I hate democrats and Republicans, I don't see me wanting to kill them, although I would like to deprogram them some how.
Actually Shiites, Kurds, Sunnis are ethnic groups that form political parties. The problem in Iraq and, in elsewhere in the Middle East, is that these ethnic groups had strong divisions as to who was legitimate successor of Muhammad. We're talking hundreds of years of not getting along to outright hatred. The economic problems, and lack of rebuilding the infrastructure in Iraq has flamed these old divisions to new heights.
Interesting... What are the physical differences in these two ethic groups...
I can tell the difference between a black, Latino and Asian.
I can see the differences in behavior between Rednecks and Urbanites.
What makes them so deferent they can not live together? Them = Shiites, Kurds, and Sunnis... I would understand not living with American rule, but I can not understand this. The notion Respect is missing from this conflict. USA being the worst violater of Respect.
the kurds have their own language and some of them allied themselves with iran during the iraq-iran war...saddam then used the weapons we sold them and attacked some of the iraqi kurds
the shias are the majority of the iraqi population but still had disadvantages in the country b/c saddam didnt like shias
some shias were also killed after desert storm
the sunnis are now scared that the new iraqi government will come and ethnically cleanse them if the US leaves
Today in Ft.Worth a comitee wants to impeach Bush ,they better impeach Ceheny first or both together ! 300 people DIE in America everyday all beacuse they have No Health Insurance they just DIE and are invisable
what a mess!!!! thanks again america for your good intentions!!

Any "democracy" established by our invasion of Iraq in defense against terrorism, as you so rightly pointed out, is a sham.
As far as I know, Christians and Muslims alike in Iraq were doing just fine until they started getting blown apart by our smart bombs.

Phana24JeffG 3 years ago
Europeans have a lack of education about radical islam? Hahaaa...Europeans have been fighting the middle east for centuries, what the f are you talking about. And as saving Europeans from the Nazis....buddy, it was in your best interest to join the war.
Chindro2828 3 years ago
I agree that joining the war was also in our best interest. It was about the only useful thing FDR accomplished. Perhaps I should have modified my statement to say MODERN Western europeans have a lack of education of the dangers of radical Islam. Satisfied?
Phana24JeffG 3 years ago
Europeans have been dealing with the blowback from brutal North African colonialism for decades. It has nothing to do with "radical Islam", its political, like 99 percent of what is called "terrorism". Dr. Robert Pape's seminal work 'dying to win" clearly proves this. And dont start whining about WW11. America sat on its ass for 4 years while the allied forces did the heavy lifting. Only after Pearl Habor did it enter. Nothing to do with the Third Reich. That was an afterthought.
neoconmonitor 3 years ago
I actually have a lot of respect for Pape's work, although his attempt to lump Muzmuppet behavior with other terror groups is simplisitic and ignores several realities. He does not explain Islam's long history of sectarian violence within it's own religion.
Since you accuse America of sitting on the side for four years, I have to assume you assign the beginning of WWII to the second Sino-Japanese War. Given the conduct of Europe after WWII, how can you fault Americans for isolationism?
Phana24JeffG 3 years ago
Oh yes and the various Christian sects lived in harmony from the get go within their religion! Intra-Christian violence has a history and toll that far surpasses that of Islam.
PauloGVieira 3 years ago
I know it is difficult, but try and confine the discussion to modern history. Christianity has many dark chapters of history, but in case you missed the last fifty years, Islam is now in need of Reformation.
Phana24JeffG 3 years ago
Certainly I am talking about modern history when it comes to intra-Christian violence.
I agree a reformation is needed but Islam is hardly the religious exception here, your religious has been the most violent one in history.
PauloGVieira 3 years ago
what don't you like about islam?!!
ealshabaan 3 years ago

4AntiWar 3 years ago 2
That is because we put our rapists and killers in prison, the Muzpuppies call their imam or prophet.
Phana24JeffG 3 years ago
@Phana24JeffG -- God how FuckiN retarded; 40,000 murders and over 100,000 violent rapes per year happen in the US DESPITE more than 1.2 million convicted offenders being in prison. The whole damned society is breaking down because organized corruption, hypocrisy, racism, sexism, discrimination, violence, crime, fraud & misfeasance are rewarded. These are symptoms of a class war being diverted & disguised by elite special interests thru injustice, ignorance, prejudice, exploitation & lies.
starmanskye 1 year ago
You do realise much of what you just mentioned are tribal customs that pre-date Islam.
Secular government! LOL! The American is chastising another people for mixing religion and politics! So tell me again why your government forbids the distribution of condoms to AIDS stricken areas of Africa?
Brasil has the largest population of Arabs outside the Middle East and their own assimilation has been a successful one.
PauloGVieira 3 years ago
If they are merely tribal customs, why do acclaimed "Islamic scholars" proclaim them for the savages to undertake? You are completely clueless about radical Muzmuppetry.
Phana24JeffG 3 years ago
@Phana24JeffG -- Hmmm -- You don't seem to have a problem w/ hypocritical 'moral majority' crusaders mobilizing gullible middle American masses, dictating religious values AND customs -- & forcing laws based on Christian principles re: birth control, abortion, gay marriage -- really petty issues next to ignoring crimes of institutionalized murder, bureacratic theft of trillions, electoral fraud, endemic political & business corruption, profiteering via unjustified wars & subverting Constitution.

PauloGVieira 3 years ago
The lack of education comment was directed at Neocon, but it is interesting you assumed it was directed at you. I am glad you are so comfortable with Muzmuppets, perhaps we American will not bother to your rescue again.

I am European and I dont appreciate goat-loving American hicks speaking on my behalf like in your previous posting.
Rescue me! HA! You mean just like the people of Iraq asked you to rescue them from Saddam Hussein!

America IS a world empire, period.
usama2 3 years ago 3
Hard to have an empire when you are up to your neck in debt - Iraq is the beginning of the end for the American global reach and we can see this all over the world, from Latin America and the emergence of China.
PauloGVieira 3 years ago
Who is going to defeat us, the superpower of Portugal?? LOLOLOL. Only a moron with little knowledge would assert that a nation with public debt at 67% of Gross Domestic Product to be "up to your neck."

You do realise that because of your country's decision to invade Iraq it now has diplomatic relations for the first time with Iran since 1979!
You're just as stupid as your leader.
PauloGVieira 3 years ago
Paulo has as much knowledge of current affairs as he does military science. If you learn how to conduct a Google search, you will realize that the USA does not have either diplomatic or consular relation with the Primitive Islamic Republic of Iran.

As much as I hate democrats and Republicans, I don't see me wanting to kill them, although I would like to deprogram them some how.
btigtime2 3 years ago
Actually Shiites, Kurds, Sunnis are ethnic groups that form political parties. The problem in Iraq and, in elsewhere in the Middle East, is that these ethnic groups had strong divisions as to who was legitimate successor of Muhammad. We're talking hundreds of years of not getting along to outright hatred. The economic problems, and lack of rebuilding the infrastructure in Iraq has flamed these old divisions to new heights.
LazarusDurden 3 years ago
they arent political parties, they are different ethnic groups which has different traditions that go back hundreds and hundreds of years
mrgrieves9876 3 years ago 2
Interesting... What are the physical differences in these two ethic groups...
I can tell the difference between a black, Latino and Asian.
I can see the differences in behavior between Rednecks and Urbanites.
What makes them so deferent they can not live together? Them = Shiites, Kurds, and Sunnis... I would understand not living with American rule, but I can not understand this. The notion Respect is missing from this conflict. USA being the worst violater of Respect.
btigtime2 3 years ago
the kurds have their own language and some of them allied themselves with iran during the iraq-iran war...saddam then used the weapons we sold them and attacked some of the iraqi kurds
the shias are the majority of the iraqi population but still had disadvantages in the country b/c saddam didnt like shias
some shias were also killed after desert storm
the sunnis are now scared that the new iraqi government will come and ethnically cleanse them if the US leaves
mrgrieves9876 3 years ago
the US has been at war with the iraqi people ever since the cia coup of 63
the US financed the baath party
sold weapons and gave billions to saddam in the 80s which left a million dead in the war
set sanctions in the 90s which left hundreds of thousands of children dead
and now the US is occupying their country and stealing their natural resources
now there will be peace again in iraq but this will only happen once the US leaves, and all the ethnic groups reconcile
mrgrieves9876 3 years ago 4
You are right about that. The US will not leive until they get every drop of Oil they can get out of the ground.
Really Really sad.
The US Policy since the 60's really make me question our ideals. What has gotten into everyone in the USA?
Ron Paul is a lone voice. As much support as he got, I can not beleive his voice is not larger in the country...
