  • I'm not a chess player, but I found this analysis very interesting. Thank you.

  • Kosteniuk is a fine player and seems a nice person, a pity she placed last at this years FIDE Women's Grand Prix Tournament.

Credit to her here - but she is not as strong as Polgar.

  • you are an excellent teacher!

  • @WarpBerlin Thanks WarpB. :)

  • great game and great commentary making it a wonderful lesson.. Thanks Jerry

  • I don't like Polga anyway and I'm very big fan of Kosteniuk.

It aways makes me happy when Kosteniuk WINS and Polgar LOSES.

  • You know you are a chessplayer when while you are at a dinner party and you take 20 minutes to pass the salt and eat positionally.

  • You are really a good commentator...

    I am subscribing Now

  • @ewomanizer Glad to have you aboard! :)

  • Its pAWn NOT pOOOOwn! Jerry is right!

  • Very nicely explained. Thanks.

  • i wanna play Black, similar play styles

  • Its pronounced pOOOOwn not pAAAAwn.

  • @Oegaboega12 oh

  • pOOOOwn? You don't know what you are talkin' about mammal. Jerry is absolutely right, hope you are not a Filipino because, I am.

  • when you say who is playing the game do you say the white players name first?

  • @robman8855 Yes

  • @robman8855 always

  • Bravo Alexandra!! Great game!!

  • That's an absolutely sick ending considering it was blitz...very precise by white except for the one gaffed move which didn't blow the game anyways.

  • You know you're a chess player when you watch videos of Alexandra Kosteniuk playing chess in order to see her game, not her.

  • can you beat alexandra?

  • Good commentary. Make more vids plz!

  • You know your a chess player when your preparing to leave a pub and forget to pay the tab during your vacation to Austrailian and the bar tender won't even yell "CHECK MATE!!!"

  • You know you are a chess player when you dream about new possible variations. It's been happening to me ever since i subscribed to ChessQueen :P

  • Commentary is a little too basic for me, but I agree it has some strong educational purposes....

  • You know you're a chess player when you're sitting in a bar and you picture how your friends could be better positioned against a castled position.

  • amazing video very nice engame!

  • A wonderful game & excellent commentary!!

  • Nice to see a good endgame.

I never get to this stage against my computer...

  • @mutinyonthekitkat, you have to clear the board without endangering the king and taking out the more dangerous pieces to give the king the ability to fight as a pawn. It measn taking out or sacrificing the queen, rooks & bishops at least, while conserving ast least half of your pawns.

  • Thanks - nice commentary!

  • it was blitz , judith has proven herself in the top 10 in the world in REAL chess time and again Alexandra is not even in the top 100 (perhaps not even top 500)

  • i like the espn commentors more, it's more sport-like and exciting even though they know shit

  • oh, what an end game. that was a barn burner. GIRL POWER!

  • IMHO you should be making lots of vids. Concise, informative and well put together. You also put it all in a way that makes easy & fun to learn from. This was a great game also......Cheers man.

  • I really enjoyed your commentary & the game!

  • You know you're a chess player when you develop an admiration for Kilians beer solely because the logo resembles a knight.

  • That's a brilliant explanation, I was able to understand it from start to finish. You definitely have a knack for this!

  • THIS WAS BLITZ?

  • g4!! awesome!!

  • You know you're a chess player when your mom buys you pawn mags

  • Jerry, You the beast , thanks a lot for making these videos!! It would be awesome if you take your time to make some more video! and question : most of your video, you basically showing that white have more advantage to win the game because they move first? and if you are playing white/black, what will the the most commonly open you will you? thanks once again!

  • You know you're a chess player when a jock asks you "what do you bench?" and you reply, "more than your ELO!"

  • You know you're a chess player when you consider yourself the best "playa" in da "club", and that you got a lot of "game", but you've never actually hooked up with a girl.

  • You know you're a chess player when you spend more time on Gameknot than Facebook and more time making moves than friends.

  • Great videos, and very good explanation!

  • I don't really like Kosteniuk as woman chess playerJudith is my hero Kosteniuk is just big show and not good one at that

  • I agree, that was an awesome review, very clear and understandable.

  • You know when you're a chess player when your idea of a horror movie does not involve bats that turn into vampires but pawns that turn into queens

  • Excellent narration! The review of this game was great. I really appreciated the in depth analysis of the possible queen exchange that wasn't played which could have easily won, and also the different pawn-knight ending analysis. Thank you immensely for this chess knowledge.

  • oh my god the end game is magic

i really enjoyed the last 6 mins , totally equal materials and both of them are too smart ,

thanks for uploading Jerry and nice commentary ( Five Stars )

  • i dnt watch alexendra 2 learn chess but 2 masterbate

  • Hey jerry, thanks for the analysis! A lovely game, I really liked the last white move, Kf4! Also thanks for pointing out the missed calculation which would win a piece for white.

  • on 10:40 it was suppose to be "knight moves to e2" but you mentioned "queen" .. heheheh.. :P

your videos are AWESOME dude! thanks for sharing with us... ^_^

  • why not Q-b7 @ 10:00?

  • hi jerry... for me you are the best commentator.... your way of analysing the games are simple yet crystal clear... and very instructive too!! keep up the good work mate!!!

  • @7ginna thx :)

  • @ChessNetwork Kosteniuk win right? :O ... thanks for the videos, are perfects

  • @enriquelmx Yes and thank u :)

  • @7ginna Beautiful game and beautiful commentary

  • Nice predicted fork at the ending :)

  • i like your video's a lot please make more your better than jrobichess

  • ur voice sounds like a dude I saw in this documentary called "What the bleep do we know?" smart guy!

  • I relly enjoyed the analysis of this game because I like knights a lot.

  • Good clearf analysis, thank you! Im a fan of kosteniuk and polgar

  • Alexandra is by far the best!

  • @JohnBlack666id well. That depends on how you look at it. If your perspective is FIDE rating then your statement is untrue: Polgars rating is way higher than Kosteniuks. Actually - if you look at any chess records except from this single game, Polgar is best. Highest rating, most tournaments won, beaten the strongest players in regular time controls and so on and so forth.

  • @Ruxistico Yup I retreat my statement, I looked her up on wikipedia and she has a very impressive carrier. Looks like her father is right, geniuses are made, not born.

  • @JohnBlack666id Despite winning this game, Alexandra isn't close to Judit Polgar's level. Ms. Kosteniuk is currently rated the 11th best woman chess player in the world. Ms. Polgar is, as she has been for a decade, Numero Uno.

  • You know you're a chess player when you walk in knight moves on a tiled floor

  • @TheEhodge i do that!

  • @TheEhodge HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Really elegant use of visual cues to aid the annotation, very much enjoyed,

  • As frequently as you can if they are of this quality. Thanks for the vid.

  • jerry, you are the best analyzer there is! keep them coming!! greetings from holland, amsterdam

  • jerry, you are the best analyzer there is! keep them coming, im watching them all, greetings from holland, amsterdam

  • thank you, Jerry!

it would be really great if you posted more vids, please!

    you're the best chess analyzer!

  • "You know you are a chess player when" you take a minute to make a move in tic-tac-toe

  • @Budisawsome You know when you are a chess player when you marry, and make your wife do all the work, and make her believe that if you die then its the end, and then stay home behind 3 servants and bully them.

  • Hey Jerry, I really enjoy your videos. Whenever you make them, I watch them. I really enjoy your analysis of past games. I also like your blitz chess games. I think it's neat to see into your mind, so-to-speak, to see what you are seeing as the position evolves. Have you ever thought about making a blitz chess video where you are playing black? Just a thought. Keep up the good work!

  • you know you are a chess player when you visualize the cars moving like pawns when they merge into a different lane.

  • you know you are a chess player when you visualize the cars moving like pawns when they merge into a different lane.

  • cool

  • Hey Jerry, how come you don't make that many videos?

  • They take time to make. This most recent video didn't just take 17 minutes to do. How frequently should I make videos?

  • @ChessNetwork

Every day would great. But maybe you prefer quality over quantity, not saying I don't. You probably put out the best videos on youtube, very good stuff.

  • you relate picking up girls to a game of chess.

  • cool game. very calculative

  • Honestly, I think its a boring game and the women's champ and the # 1 contender missed many good moves. Like Fischer used to say. Just kidding, Good game!

  • You know your a chess player when u watch videos of different strategies and play consistently ha

  • thanks for the video Jerry, this game needs a lot of analysis, thank u for that

  • You know you're a chess player when chess seems no longer a game but a part of your life.

  • Glad you liked. You're welcome striker!

  • What a wonderfully clear analysis that was.

  • @CHESSTERUK ~ Agree.

  • Thx

  • Thanks chessT

  • Hopefully these are answered little by little in ensuing videos. I don't have any tips right now. I'm contemplating a tips/suggestions type of video some time. Stay tuned...

  • @ChessNetwork Thank you. I look forward to them.

  • @mambomx - It works! ♥

  • I guess so! :)

  • Does it?

  • Beautiful explanations! Even I get it :) Thanks Jerry .

  • when you talk to a girl but you are interested in her friend, its like putting a rook opposite to a queen with pieces in between xD

  • Man I love these analysis videos you are making, keep it up! I've already learned quite a bit and, more importantly, gotten a lot inspiration out of them. Sometimes that's even more valuable than simple progress. =)
