Do you find pressing is better than flat ironing? Thanks for the video I've been wondering if it was possible to use the Edgestick on the whole length of hair and I see how that could be done.
@BNicoleJackson her ends are nit hest damaged because thsts the first time she wore it out. they ethey were straight from previous relaxer a year ago. and only chemical can break bonds honey
you're hair looks gorgeous. now please don't deprive us any longer!!! at least 10 people have asked what song this is. WHAT SONG & ARTIST IS IT?!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
Beware, for cretins exist in ALL nationalities, races, families, genders, religions, intelligence-ranges, aptitutes, levels of wealth or penury. A great creative artist may be without conscience. One with a healthy sense of humor can be psychopathic.
Of course, as well, the good exist in all societal strata. So take heart. But discriminate.
after allowing the relaxer to grow out with trims as needed...my last relaxer was in Feb2008 (not missing it either)... my hair dresser is who I go to only because I rather have her do it, so much easier... try the product
Its all about the deep conditioning you use.. I use Matrix Sleek Look Shampoo and Conditioner (makes hair actually feel silky and healthy after rinsing out).. sit under a drier for 15-25 mins.... then spray Chi Keratin Spray Mist, blow dry with a blowdryer w/ comb ( which is very handy)... then press with either a stove iron (for best straightening results) or ceramic iron, last use a sheen spray.. very easy...my hair is to the mid of my back...
Since you already started reading you cant stop. My name is Kalena. I have black hair, and green eyes. I am 13. I was abused my whole life. I have no ears or nose because my parents chopped them off with a rusty fork. I am dead. I will show up in your room in 13 days and kill you by chopping off your body parts with a rusty fork unless you repost this on 5 pages. THIS IS NO JOKE!!!! If you do, something good will happen to you within 13 days. If u dont believe this, just wait and see
The biggest problem I find with silkening/pressing the hair is that it can revert back too quickly. Is there any advice on products to use or avoid when trying to combat puff/frizzy hair? Thanks
setting her hair then round brushing it then silking is wayyyy too many steps for me you can get the same results without setting her your hair working in a salon with back to back clients its easier to wash deep condition the hair then apply serum and very little moisturiver then with a paddle brush section hair and direct hair straight out from the head which will create body then wit a ceramic iron silk hair smooth
no I think Currinae321 means, when the girl in the video washes her hair, do some pieces hang straight, meaning did she have any heat damage to her natural hair pattern by this process....so did she? And do you guys use heat protectant?
mizani thermasmooth is a 4 part product process. When my stylist did my flat iron (i'd beeen natural for abt 8 months) she only used the therma smooth anti humidity spritz at the flat iron portion. She did the rolller set and did a general blow out (no concentration nozzle to apply direct heat to my hair). The only direct heat was when she flat ironed it....AMAZING!!I dont know what the heck is in it but I went to a party that night, sweated like a pig...my hair didnt revert at all!
@msbehavin01 I know this is kind of irrelevant but what's the name of the song in this vid??? Sometimes I look at the vid just to hear the song; it bangs!
Of course I love the your pictorial - it's great and very informative.
@LoveNeverLost1 Yes, this is how the Dominicans do it from my experience. But actually last time I went to a Dominican shop, they skipped the rollers, and just blow dried it with the round brush, still came out nice.
hey i like gettinq my hair pressed too and i also have natural hair but i was wonderinq when she wash her hair or when you wash your hair , do some parts of the hair be straight or do the ends be straight becuase thats how my hair is, when i wash it but i havent straightend it in a while thouqgh.
@currinae321 pressing/silkening the hair can change the curl pattern and leave some parts straight and some parts curly. if you want to maintain your pattern then you may not want to press/silken often
@currinae321 you may have heat damage...I am also a natural and I kept getting my hair pressed and I noticed my curls especially in the front didn't revert back when i washed it..its hard for me to wear twists and stuff now because of it....and from what I am seeing so far there is really nothing we can do about it but cut it off or try and work with it....protien treatments may help a little..thats what i'm doing and just cutting myself off from heat 4 a while(keepin my fingers crossed lol)
@onegreenenvy oooo, i just happened to have some grapeseed oil 2 but i use it as part of my leave in mix....how would u suggest using it to get it's full benefits?
I just hope u didnt get heat damage??? cus i would love to press my hair, but i flat ironed once and got heat damage, thank god it was a very tiny bit. how do u recover from heat damage?
No there was no damage from the heat because I used a iron guard before pressing. Also she does not flat iron at home and this lasts for 2 weeks so there is no heat in between visits.

black1992orly 5 months ago
@black1992orly any conditioner u leave on for more than 15 min is a deep condition

Her ends look like they are heat damaged. They're straight when they're wet, which makes me think the protein bonds are broken from all the heat.
