I think it's either Chlorine stained, or it's because of the natural sunlight beating down on the slides all day caused the outer portion of the slide to fade. Either/or I don't think rust can form on plastic.

The big red slide is called the Sky Screamer slide.

I was on both the white slides and one of the purple ones, but I was too scared to go on the red ones.
