Ford spent far more on motor sport than any other manufacturer, coz they figured that track success would lure the mugs into the showrooms, and it worked. But the chevette did very well, and was a nicer car to drive in standard form than the mk2 escort. Ive owned both. The mk2 was one of the dullest cars Ive ever had. It rusted bloody quick to. Nice gearbox though.

Chevettes to DTV spec were very fast :D am planning on eventually having 500BHP in mine lmao will be a death trap
