going there tommorow night and again on 8th oct with a few ppl to investigate. yes ive got pics etc including FULL APPERITION of man in a waistcoat, and an orb with an arm inside it holding a huge spanner.the garages were used a maintenence shops during 1942-1944
@traceynorthernstar I agree there is nothing quite like it. We are lucky to have so much history within easy reach. But unfortunately it is all crumbling away with time.
I went back to RAF Davidstow Moor in Corwall this week (my last visit was in 2007) & some of the buildings had gone : (
@sgtgrech Aww gutted =( I must admit i was shocked at first, that these buildings were just left..not even maintained at all. I'd say the most interesting one of all the ones ive seen so far, has to be RAF North Witham in Lincolnshire. It's hidden within a massive forest and as ur walking through, down the Peri track all of a sudden u reach this MASSIVE runway, hidden amongst miles of forest and of course the derelict control tower and hangar. Sat decaying for 65 years ='( So sad

Excellent video Tracey, some very interesting photos in this collection.

Exploring these atmospheric bases is my absolute favourite pastime. You can always sense their presence as ur approaching. Nothin quite like it xXx
