They were stunned by the horrific destruction of the Atomic bomb. After that event the War ended. @MrRobokoper trust me ive read the bible a few times, its full of revenge and retribution, like i said if god loves unconditionally than why does the bible make you believe you will be judged by him/her someday? if you like the bible i have a few other books that might interest you like humpty dumpty, the three little pigs o yea and little red riding hood, it does get a little graphic towards the end when the wolf eats little red riding hood but you should be ok

@waynemush You are probably comfusing religions among them, Christianity has nothing to do with death and destruction ,but u are probably uninformed ,and if you are american you are also comfused US is the only christian country so fundamentalist,and. Also with many groups that stretch on diferrent elements of christ/ty instead of the WHOLE,and dont use common sense which is also encouraged in the Bible.Paul sais God gave us brains to use it.

@delagrazia if you read my previous posts youll see im not singling out a specific religion, they all create division, like i said they all have that my god is better than your god element to it and if your impling that i didnt use my brain when coming to my conclusion well then maybe you should open up a science book instead of a bible but then again the brainwashed religious masses are programed to never question the word of god

@waynemush God is one hence no religion can claim or claims their God is better. That was valid only among the first polytheistic religions where different powers were ascribed to differet gods godesses.Each religion claims only that they posess the correct way to come closer/find the one and only God.You particularly spoke about christianity in your last message, but again...nor Budhism nor Hinduism are "ALL ABOUT DEATH and DESTRUCTION". So My disagreement was in > judging while uninformed

@delagrazia i dont judge anyone that uses religion in a positive way to better themselves or this planet, what i do disagree with is how religion has made people believe that somehow their bad individuals if they commit "sins" or make people believe god loves one group or individual more then another, and yes the bible does make god or the gods seem vengeful

@waynemush well,u r right on that a heavy burden was put upon manygenerations with the "sin factor"even subconciously. And in reality maybe its too easy for us to see christianity in a positive light since we werent affected by that and were free to read the bible afterwards.
Any knowledge can be misused and distorted by ppl ,if we only consider hinduism wecan see how damaging the cast concept has been in practice although theoretically well explained

If we consider christianity ,the "love concept "has helped western societys and the world greatly. If even that ,has been used to justify killings then what cant?This concept was not only revolutionary for its time but difficult even today. Thats why i believe is unfair to label "christianitys god "as a vengeafull god.

@waynemush The old testament are the Jewish texts included for educational purposes for the genesis chapter,for historical continuity,etc With the coming of Christ is the beginning of a new era and that is the churche s position.Christianity is the new testament texts and other later saints texts,where god is not described as cruel or vengeafull.In factin 2 instances is mentioned1.the law is written on mans heart>those that have no knowledge of christianity but keep the law will be saved

@waynemush 2. one man who was not part of their group and performed exorcisms.Jesus is asked if they should stop him. He answered no,.even if he is not part of their group he is on their side by his deeds,He is unlikely to turn against God since in His name performs exorcisms
When christianity became religion of the state ,and also because the love Christ taught was difficult for ppl then,even now to understand and apply ,the old was included.
