Chevy couldn't afford to buy Ferrari brake knowledge, seem as they was running on such a low budget. So Ferrari said "It's OK, we'll swap for your suspension, then it wont cost you anything".

Look at an e92 M3, 4.4l v8 with 414hp. Thats 94hp/liter.

this ferrari is not a supper car. corvette is not a super car. they are sports cars. they belong in the same category. Zonda, SaleenS7, Koenigsegg, Murcielago, Enzo, etc, are super cars. ZR1 is close but still considered a sports car.

Maybe someday American car fanatics will look into the history and build quality of Euro cars and realize that they're wrong.
Look at the Mercedes Benz W124 500e, or any W124 for that matter. That's engineering at its greatest. Rolling tanks, yet they still don't weigh much more than American/Japanese plastic?
The other day I saw some lady back into a ferrari (pretty hard hit), and it didn't leave the smallest scratch. A vette would have lost its whole rear bumper from the same collision.

Look at an e92 M3, 4.4l v8 with 414hp. Thats 94hp/liter.
Essentially, if BMW replaced that with a 7L NA v8 it would be pushing out 658hp. American car companies don't know how to get power out of smaller, lighter, more efficient engines, so they just put in big ass engines instead

Also, they are known for being small. This is why you see people putting corvette engines in little miatas.

The real reason they use displacement instead of fine tuning is because of the price. The way they're made allows a cheaper car that they can build faster. Also many people prefer it like that so they can modify it to their liking and less hp/liter means it should last longer.

Both cars have set much better lap times than the likes of the Nissan GT-R, Porsche 911 GT2 S, and Lexus LFA just to name a few. For example, the magnetic ride suspension that Ferrari uses was developed in America. I am not one of those people that is super against foreign cars, I respect all auto makers regardless of the country of origin. Ok if you pay 15 grand for a bike you got ripped off. I have a new r6 so I know what they can do. apples and oranges=bikes vs cars. A corvette is the most common generic "performance" car there is next to the mustang. Plus I've gotten away from the cops 6 times on it,so yeah it's fast enough. A z06 is an impractical piece of shit. 2 seats 2 wheel drive. How's it do in the snow/dirt?
