Did you fix you truck yet? What happend to it? The mechanic i use to go to put a new oil pump and lifters in my 2000 gmc sierra single cab however, he did not put the distributor back on right so it grinded the teeth on it and all that metal whent into my motor. But then i got married so my new brother inlaw is a mechanic and did a swap for me. I did not have enough money for a 5.3 so i stuck w/ the 4.3 v6 because we used the old parts.
Yeah 3.73s is what ima upgrade to. I'm gettin ready to drop the 6.0 in my truck with LS6 heads. The maroon silverado is gettin headers, pullies, and 4.10s. I'm gonna race him the way he is now and after his new upgrades. Should be a good race imo.

Patriot Cam, ls6 heads, maybe a 4k stall, and 3.73 gears.should be easily in low 13s high 12s.
