Hey Mobilitysite, is it possible if you show us how well internet explorer works on the 800w. Does it work as well as the iphone? Is it fast to launch PIE? How about opera? Is opera fast in launching and browsing? My opera is unbelievably slow on my 700wx. It takes forever to just launch, forget about browsing. Does PIE load more complicated web pages alright? Iphones web browser is king, but I'm stuck with sprint and I love sprint's ultra fast network. Thanks.

Do you mean in the treo 800w or treo 700wx? The 700wx opera just sux because it takes too long to load the program itself. Curious about the 800w though. Does it launch opera quickly? Does it load complicated sites quickly?

The 800w has WIFI, which is usually much faster in loading dense sites. Never used the 700wx. Fast program startup time, possibly due to having double the memory of the 700wx or a slightly faster processor, or even the newer WM6.

for the treo and the centro, do you HAVE to use the stylus or can you just use your fingers for the touchscreen?

and would you recommend the treo or the centro? i like both, and i cant decide.

no you dont have to use the stylus. youre more than welcome to use your finger but its not very finger friendly so it gets difficult.

What up. Does anybody knows i you can picture text with this phone. I know you can with the centro (mine broke so I got an Htc TOuch). My htc touch has windows 6 and does not picture text, which sucks cause I used to send pictures a lot with my phone. Thanks.

Very good extensive review, lots of info most other reviewers don't give. Especially on how the apps work! You should really test how many apps open affects the speed, and then look at the CPU usage on the Task Manager.

Wow this phone looks cool compare to Blackberry Curve 8310. I think I regret my phone because this phone has Windows Mobile and the most favorite feature that I want on this phone is that its a touch screen and has a stylus. Nice video.

Nice video chris, finally Palm got it in there head that they needed wifi in there phone lol. off topic: I have been a huge windows mobile fan for about 2 years now, going through about 6-7 diff phones. and I went out yesterday and bought the new iphone, because it had 3g, I used to hate the iphone cuz it didnt have what i wanted. but now it does : )

@sunninho I wish it was a gig. This is a hobby. My office is a home office and I live on the outskirts of my city and cell coverage is a tad rough. In town, I get great signals and speeds on Sprint.

thanks Chris, great review! I've been waiting for the new treo and after seeing it here, there is one huge disappointment, and that is that the screen is smaller. I use my 700wx to surf the web and watch movies/videos. Why would they increase the SD card capacity and then shrink the screen? That doesn't make any sense. I'm not sure now if I'm going to buy it. Screen real estate is a big issue if you're into multimedia, which I am. Now I may go for the mogul or the instinct.
