  • Thank you for the nice video I hope everything works out well for you

  • how tall are you? did u grow more after the surgery? and can u feel the rods in your back and bend down?

  • Im a dancer and my world is that. I have a 36 degree curve on the top and i forget the bottom . But i am very flexible in my back and i also do gymnastics and contorion. I have a brace but u dont wear it because its uncomfortable. And im afraid if i do ever need this surgery i wont be flexible and wont be the dancer i am now.

  • eu fiz duas cirurgias artrodese, a primeira não deu certo, mas ainda sinto muitas dores, espero melhorar, quem de vcs tem mobilidade reduzida?

  • Great video! :) Congratulations!

  • i have scoliosis and i am scared to death if i have to get the surgery D: my spines curve is only gettting worst, so i have a feeling i will need it. this video gave me some self esteem<3

  • I know how you feel I had that surgery on my back when I was 11 and now I am all better but I can't bend my back. I was a dancer before and I got to go back to dance 3 months earlier than expexted because I was doing so well. You are beautiful and I hope you feel amazing and beautiful now.

  • I have scoliosis and I'm 15

In a wheelchair. I can't walk anymore because my spine was so severe. I cry everyday because I wanted my life to be normal but that won't ever happen.

  • you had two curves to...thats what i have and i'm getting surgery and i'm scared it would be my first surgery i've ever gotten

  • all of these videos make me cry.

  • @allie2012marie aww how come? i cryed during one yesturday too :(

  • @Cristy123344 i had 8 level spinal fusion 5 weeks ago from T5 to L1. i was scared before, but everything went okay and i have no regrets. i am an inch taller, 5'8. i cannot feel the rods, because they are under the muscle. i can bend down, but am somewhat limited because my muscles are still healing. everything will be back to normal in at most, 1 year though. i will be posting my own recovery video eventually

  • @allie2012marie Nice! I am glad you are feeling better!!! :) xD And yeah I will watch it!

  • y es verdad que la operacion te deja mas recta la columna?

  • @javitops14

    Por supuesto que si. :)

  • wowow thats amazing you are the most beautifulest girl iv ever seen:) im so glad u can dance again

  • After the surgery are you in a lot of pain and also how long did you have to stay off school?

  • @DreamingDreams1 yes, its a lot of pain but my doctor prescribed me vicodin, and i didnt went to school in two weeks

  • hi ppl , if any1 has any questions feel free to emal me at scoliosisspine@yahoo.com

im not a doctor or anything just a person whos gone through the surgery and wants to help others! :) thx

  • Thank you<3

  • i have to get the surgery in seven months. i no it seems far away but its not for me and Im really scared. but i got four opinons from four different doctors and they all said that yoga DOES help your scoliosis. it builds the mussles in your back up before the surgery. im doing alot of yoga rite now

  • I have had 18 surgeries so I know exactly what you all are going through. For those who are really scared about surgery for Scoliosis..... it is scary... I'm not going to lie. I just had 3 rods put on my spine because I had 90 at top and 80 but I was doing Yoga for a year and I was having NO SYMPTOMS! Yoga can help!! But mine didn't help so much for me. So I had the surgery in May of this year and it's hard to bend and run but I'm not in pain it's helped to much!

    Trust in God!!!

  • wow this video made me cry. i may have to get it because my back is at a 40 degree angle and if it turns 5 more degrees in the next 6 months i have to get surgery. :( im so scared.

  • @Strawberry1139 try Yoga.... it will help.... but if it doesn't then the surgery might be the way to go.... it's not the funnest thing but it'll help.

  • @MsTwilight411 yoga doesn't help, both doctors said so.

  • im 14 years old and i just got surgery july 28, 2010. its been 2 weeks since surgery and im in so much painn:( im a dancer too so it sucks i have to wait a year. My curve was 60 degrees before surgery. i grew 2 inch es! I see evryone had to where braces after? i didnt. im really glad but whoecer is about to get it dont be scared its not that baddd! (: i was up and walking 3 days after surgery!

  • Im 16 and I have an S curve... I have a 19 and 16 degree curves along with the lower part of my spine is literallly twising because of the curves! Drs say I wont need surgery for it because they dont think it will get worse, but they are a little worried about the twisting getting worse and mybe needing surgery for that someday. Your really brave! And I hope your feeling better!

  • i get mine next summer :(

    not looking forward 2 it

  • anyone who has ?s about scoliosis mssg me n ill answered them!!!...=) gabby

  • @gabbie146 im 15 and i got it. my bottom curve is 42. and i think it got worse. i live in guam and my fam is already thinking of moving to washington

  • Hi! I'm Maddie and i have scoliosis too! I have a S curve and my curves are 40 deg. and 28 deg. I'm really nervous that I'm going to need surgery. I've been thinking about scoliosis a lot lately because I'm going to the doctor in a few days... 17 to be exact. July 27th, 2010 I go 2 the doctor. I have a brace, but I don't wear it, whihc is bad. but, like ive watched these videos and all the people say "oh, this was the best decision of my life!" and i wanna make the right decision too.

  • I used to have quite severe Scoliosis, my back disappeared behind my shoulder blade and I used to have lot’s of facial pain – lots of blinking and facial spasms.

At 38 I got it fixed without an operation using a machine called Theraflex and the blinking stopped and the whole back is visible. Get your Physio/Oesteo/Chiro/Doctor to get one.

  • @DamienMearns01 what state? and what was your curve?

  • @carmenc671 I had the treatment in the UK but you can get it in Indiana as well. In terms of Cobb angles my curve was 35+ . I've got two new videos about it now if you look on my channel

  • @paolaventura24 idk:/ Its something u'd have to ask her. ):

  • It was really hard for me because I was a gymnast, and they told me i may not be able to do gymnastics again, because i wouldnt be able to arch back. I have to be home schooled because at school i got teasd because of my surgery. at first i ignored it but it got worse every single day nd i just couldnt take it anymore. one of my friends that is no longer my friend anymore actually sent me a txt saying that im so glad i dont have scoliosis because then i wouldnt be able to bend like u.

  • @XxToxicCookiesXx aww that is so sad..... amost 3/5 girls have scolliosis. (some have it more savier than other.... and some dont even know it because the curve is 5 degrees) And they shouldn't loagh at you..... they should help you out! I think your "friend" is not a true friend because true friends help out and not join the bully club

  • My names Richelle, i'm 12 years old and i had scoliosis surgery. I had an S curve the top was 75 and the bottom was 63. We met the doctor and he said that we should wait 6 months because of how young i was. We waited 6 months and it got worse it became 84 and 76. They couldnt wait any longer so i had to get surgery.

  • I had mine on Sept 17th 2008 XD

  • Thry found mine in time i have 20 degree curve;I have been going to the chiropractor and it really helps but my life has been effected tremendesly by it,

  • please say me where you make this surgery plisssss i'm from romania sorry about my language ;))

  • How long you've been home from school?

  • your surgery looked could. im really excited to have mine next month. my surgery date is December 18th. after looking at some of the other videos and the bad things that could go wrong i get nervous and scared. but my surgery is different i have to have 3 or 4 lungs removed in order to move my spine and i could be paralyze if something goes wrong. could you get back to me and let me know what happened the day b4 your surgery. could you not eat for a day did you have to dring anything? help me.?

  • I had my surgery about 18months ago and I was worried just like you are now. But what got me through that was remembering that more good can come out of the operation than bad and the surgeons and hospital staff are professionals. Also, you can't eat 6 hours before the surgery (i think). Im 20 now and I am surfing a lot and being with friends with little to no pain at all :). Goodluck with your operation! Hit me back if you got anymore questions

  • @ZTurner008 im 15 i live on guam and my bottom curve is 42. how was it all like . did you feel any pain at all during surgery?

  • @carmenc671 Im not going to lie, It was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. And yes, it was very painful for me. But, it was all worth it in the end. Im pain free now, im taller, and im doing anything i want. (i actually went bungie jumping a few weeks ago). Back to your question, in surgery, i didnt feel any pain, due to the massive amount of drugs i was on to keep the pain away. The weeks following to surgery were fairly painful, but bearable with the medication they gave me. =)

  • Wow your story sounds so much like mine, I am a 15 year old dancer and swimmer too, but your curves were worse then mine, mine are 55 and 30

my surgery date is June 9, 2010,

    8 months from today
