  • how did i get here? oh yeah, grateful dead... what is this shit?

  • @SpWatcher17 Only the best "shit" you ever heard in your life. This is REAL music. Just stop, close your eyes, and listen.

  • @davidhenderson36 to each his own. i'd much rather close my eyes and listen to fire on the mountain by the grateful dead. 100000000000 times better than this.

  • @SpWatcher17 Thing about it you probably dont know how many zero's there is in that number

  • @tomb1057 ok, but realistically: 1000 times better

  • I loved this band way back when , they didn't get enough press !!!

  • Thumbs up for a song loud enough to be heard on laptop speakers.

  • @Redpitbull44 Pick up a set of Harman-Kardon STICKS. They have 3 versions I-II-III and they are very reasonable on the auction site. 8 tweeters plus a down-firing sub. You'll think you are on the front row !!! I've had several sets of the 1st version for years, can't imagine the other 2 versions sounding any better.

  • : )

  • You can feel a dusty plains wind smell the sage brush and see a pastel colored western sky when you listen to this song. Pure vivid musical Magic

  • I've always loved this song, but lately I appreciate it even more. Love the steel guitar or lap steel which ever he played in this song.

  • .....makes me want to drive up into the Sierra Nevada and stay for a while.

  • We Love our Hometown Boys here in Spartanburg, SC!

  • @TurnThePage61 Oh how I agree, I was born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Lived there for 41 years before moving to Louisiana and MTB has always and will always be one of my favorite bands. Not just because the're from the same town but because they are truly one of the best.

  • @davidhenderson36 ..My MTB Band Friend you got that Right, they are one of the Best and Represent Good Southern Music so well! :-)

  • And..it's an electric flute too. Jerry Eubanks played that special instrument when Marshall Tucker first began. This an exciting band to watch with their cowboy hats, the lost western duster coats they wore back when Wyatt Earp ect..would wear them, And this band is unique because of the horn section, electric flute severl guitars steel string, Base etc..tamborine, and the beat they have..incredible. Got to see them twice on 1st row. Took requests from us too. See them once at least.

  • this is the best use of a flute and steel guitar!

  • My wife to this day thinks that I called her when we were dating and had this song playing in the background because it is my favorite song.

  • DAM GOOD OLD STUFF

  • Comment removed

  • @jaybird197122 Bullshit

  • @ArmySniper3 Sorry there ArmySniper3. I meant to say that there is nothing wrong with Southern Rock at all. That is what happens when you work all night and then up all day watching and listening to you-tube videos. The mind can do terrible things when you are tired. Again my fault.

  • What a great sound this band has. This song sure takes me back to my youth. Love this song!!!

  • WAIT FOR ME THERE!!!!!!!!

  • @REDNECK2050 I will be there!

  • @DukeOfTennessee117 Ok good i have somewhere to go

  • @REDNECK2050 Yea someville Tennessee LOL

  • @DukeOfTennessee117 Wait for me there?

  • @REDNECK2050 No...

  • @DukeOfTennessee117 SCREW YOU

  • @REDNECK2050 Screw you and you AR-15...

  • BRILLIANT SONG AND BAND! - one of just a handful sung from a dead man's perspective. The Highwaymen also pulled that off.

  • George McCorkle/Chuck McCorkle. RIP! Loved you both

  • nnothing but goog to say about Marshall Tucker,I seen them,ZZTop,Skynyrd n Charlie Daniels here in Nashville at the fairgrounds racetrack in the 70's,one hell of a PARTY !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Go Dawgs

  • This song over the last thirty years has been a constant enlinghtenment to my soul

  • Toy

  • only 1 to play the flute ? what about pan?

  • I love Toy Caldwell's steel guitar and Jerry Eubank's flute solos in this song.

  • Saw them at Sturgis this year. They're my all-time favorite band.

  • I love this song!!

  • love southern rock this stuff really gets you besides Tull who can make a flute sound so cool

  • @MultiMetalgod Actually, Ian Anderson is the one who plays the flute. Jethro Tull is the band.

  • Had this in the truck driving from Alberta to BC through the Mountains. Felt good. Road Brew, and a smoke, window down not a care in the world. Fuck life is good.

  • A running bud used to play this on his 4 track player in that 68 impala. Loll...He even installed a stereo nheadphone jack under the dash for cruzin. Last time I saw him he wa still runnin that 4 track and speakers mounted in a penzoil carton.

  • It is songs like this that make me less afraid to admit I like a little country! <3

  • I don't call this country......southern rock is more accurate, but it sure is great!

  • @Celes247 this aint country, this here is Southern!!!

  • @Celes247 I really wouldn't call MTB "country". More of a blend of country/western/southern rock. Listen to "Can't You See" for the southern Rock part.

  • favorite mtb right here.

  • LOL..I wore out 3 or 4 eight track tapes of this album..

  • love these guys

  • If you looked up classic country rock in the dictionary....you'd find this song.

  • @gcaeaglefan This is as good as southern rock gets.

  • Love this song!!

  • people say that country is for old people but im like young and i dig this

  • thumbs up if u think this would be a great song for the game: Red Dead Redemption

  • memorys are great .. here we go 70's

  • JETHRO TULL AINT GOT SHIT ON MARSHALL TUCKER BAND!!!!!

  • @PapaWoody024 I disagree wholeheartedly. Both are amazing bands.

  • Should read 5,000,000,000.

  • I really like this one. And I gotta say that I just can't understand all the people that post up hundreds of "live" recordings of songs. They are almost all of them total crap that some maroon recorded on a cell phone! I hate youtube live recordings.

  • @gary62lc I'm with you, with one exception...if the live version was the hit.

I like the songs as they were played on the radio...

  • One of my all time favorite bands doing one of their best songs. So much better than the stuff out there today.

  • I got a boner listening to this song!-_-

  • @eckopf11 I agree! We covered this song back in the 80's.Played it at the Fire Mountain Inn in Mossyrock Wa after Mt.St. Helens erupted. Was cool!

  • @eckopf11 How so? These guys are famous throughout the States. At least with the older crowd.

  • @brapboys503 ...lol @ the older crowd :)

  • @gibsg62 Older than myself, anyhow.

  • Such a great song!!!
