@cavdex: Yuck...sounds as if Oscar the Grouch chose Bert's L-words; they feel more negative, not just dull/strange as in the English version. At least the Dutch lyrics keep the "aww, cute!" factor that Ernie's English choices had...
I'm an American and still love all of the Sesamstraat stuff just because it can understand most of it. It's real easy to understand stuff that's not even part of the American Sesame Street.
He deliberately sings off key. Jim Henson gave Dutch Bert & Ernie (Paul Haenen & Wim T. Schippers) permission to write their own album's, and Bert singing horribly is kind of a running gag. I went to a theater show of Haenen last year, and I was quite surprised that he can actually sing pretty good. Always thought the running gag was based on Haenen singing badly in real life, but I was wrong. ;)

Too bad they didn't show the words on the screen like they did in the English version. I'd love to know what four "dull" Dutch words Bert chose.

@TnseWlms
Bert: Liver, coward, laughing gas, louse on my scalp.
Ernie: Lolly, love song, (little) lamb, light blue sky.
Bert: Linoleum.

I don't notice very much differntce in the music. Did I miss something?

Sigh, the remake uses the original music track, while this one uses a newer one.

But it's the same tune.

Aw, "leenolium" was still the same to a degree... XD
I'm sorry, but Dutch Bert can't sing to save his life.
