This is the game that separates MJ from everyone else who ever played.

Considering how good Clyde and these Blazers were, I can't think of any other Finals performance that comes close to matching this one for sheer dominance and psychological impact.

Drexler was a great, great player. Many people were even saying he was a better all around player than MJ, considering his three point shooting and ability to get teammates involved.

Then MJ annihilated him, and the rest is history.

what people tend to forget is that Portland in game 1 came very aggresive, they hit almost every shot they took. It wasnt so great for Bulls, they surprised Chicago at the beginning. The situation changed when Michael took over the game.

@d7my10 Exactly. The difference is that MJ took such a better shot selection than Kobe, hence his 50% career FG%. Kobe is probably a better outside shooter, but he takes bad shots over people. Yes, he hits them often because he's that good, but you never saw Jordan force those types of shots. I really feel this is the biggest factor in why MJ was a more efficient scorer.

What a great time that was to be a Chicago professional team sports fan. Both the Bulls and the Blackhawks were in the NBA and NHL finals at the same time. As we all know Bulls beat Portland to repeat as NBA champs then went on an completed their first three-peat against Phoenix in 1993. Unfortunately, the Blackhawks got swept by the Pittsburgh Penguins and had to wait another 18 years to finally win the Stanley Cup. Regardless, one of the last great memories of the old Chicago Stadium.

I was at this game with my dad when I was 18. I will always cherish the memory of how loud the stadium was after his last "3". I screamed as loud as I could and could not hear my own voice at all. At half time #23 had 35 points on the scoreboard and the place was buzzing.
