Stolen bases are extremely overrated.If you do not steal 85% or higher, than you are actually hurting your teams overall run production.

The reason I know for a fact that you don't know that is simple: You are not a smart baseball fan.I assume you look at batting average, then Home runs,maybe RBIs, and think you understand what makes someone good.

You don't look at OPS,SLG or anything that matters.

Stolen bases change the course of so few games it is close to meaningless.Go back to your hole

-And Saying that someone hustles is just an excuse because they have no other good qualities. Seriously, look it up, he was VERY bad for 5 months of the year,and had one very good month. He has never been a good minor leaguer, and is already 28,he's not getting any better.There are 25 better shortstops. It's embarrassing he's a starter for the cubs.

He actually is statistically a poor defensive shortstop, if you weren't such an idiot to use errors.

Range Factore and Zone rating, they show you how much field you cover. He's the 5th worst, to go along with his terrible arm. He also is leading baseball in times caught stealing, with 7. The #2 guy has 5. He is hitting for a good average and OBP right now, but once it comes down, he won't be able to make up for his poor defense and poor baserunning.

He has an OBP of .326 meaning he rarely walks and gets on base badly.

He has a SLG of .346, making him one of the least powerful people in baseball.

He hits TERRIBLY in the Clutch (Is a fact).

Range factor and Rate2 (Defensive stats) have him in the bottom 5 for defense.

He can't hit for contact, power, or when it matters, and plays poor defense, and is almost 30.

I can TOTALLY see why you like him...

Well, b/c I'm a die LSU fan and Cubs fan. That's a portion of the LSU Fight Song that the organist plays when Theriot comes to the plate.

I happen to think T's pretty good. Let's see if he can pick up his game this season. As far as clutch hitting, he's shown spurts of it. I'm hoping he shows more consistent clutch hitting this season. We'll see...
