Actually, even in Mat's autobiography, he said Mike never claimed either way if he landed it or didn't. Mat is given credit that he pulled the first 900 in competition. He says he is very sure Mike pulled it first, but just doesn't know.

I still have this one on video tape. This was from about 1989, and it's funny how everyone went ape-shit over Tony Hawk's 900. Not taking anything away from Tony, but this was years earlier, on a smaller ramp, with more things that can go wrong (bike vs a board.) It just happened to happen at a King of Vert contest instead of the X-Games, which didn't even exist yet.
