If he checks the turn he gets away from it and who knows what happens next for him. He could of easily been up against a set, which, as well as kings, is the only hand you should get called by. Check some time. Straight draws all over the board. He didn't play it bad but he could have played it more careful. Check the turn, see the river, 4 cards to a straight on the river = INSTA-FOLD.

J's will very rarely bet the turn with a Q on the board after a pre flop raise.

Afflak got greedy, he was thinking to wheel him in to extract as much chipps, with only 15 players left that was not a good play if u are trying to get to the final table, acces get cracked about 65% of the times, he should went all in pre flop and if he is called and loses well it is a bad beat, i pretty sure he is thinking about what if i done it an other i would be still in it.

What you saw were overplayed pocket aces, which tend to suck out some times, most 20% of it, because most of the hands that see flops at this stage of the tourney are pocket pair (and big/suited aces), (...)

I can relate to what happened to Matt Affleck and feel so sorry for him.. I got busted in day 2 of this year ME in almost the same situation with a very bad call, had KK and shoved on a 10 9 7 flop, my opponent insta called with AJ and hited his gutshot (the 8) on the turn to have me almost drawing dead... I was so stunned by the call that I just walked around of the Rio for almost 2 hours..Poker is so unfair sometimes and it's disgusting to see ppl calling when they know they are behind ;(

I've been watching this show since E01, and Matt Afflect in my opinion is the best player in this Main Event. Smart check, smooth call, good lay down... He showed amazing skills and remained the consistency throughout the tournament. He totally deserved a final table seat. But that is poker, baby... Well i nearly cried when watching this moment...Too ruthless for him. One unforgettable moment.
