Lol funny... The item that was fed to the ego was Dustin's Silver Knight armour. For my server it currently takes 1500 iron ingots 300 fine leathers and 300 finest leathers to make one...This does not include finishing items either.
It's an ego weapon...basically, they do pwnsome attacks. But they're pretty expensive to take care of, they feed on weapons and armor. And if you die a lot and don't feed them for a while, they get annoyed and do bad damage...

That is why you don't make a Dustin Silver Knight Armour until you're at least Rank 3 Blacksmith.

No idea, because I don't have one. If you make them dislike you, the damage they do to monsters decreases, I think.
