I got a horrible problem with Arma. I can play the game on max settings with 30-50FPS. A couple hours into the game all the graphics turned bad. I dont know what the hell happened. It was as if everything turned to Very Very Very Low texture details. In the options it says its on Very High But I dont know whats going on. Any ideas?

because they probably havent played flashpoint and dont know how to play it, those who spended a few hours learning about the game will mostly think its a really great and realistic game. myself I love the multiplayer ever since ofp. all the mods also makes it alot better

@vuur150 Because there is so much for controls to deal with. Most people are used to Counter Strike Source, where you simply look and shoot, or like BF2, where you simply go prone, aim and shoot. ArmA provides a lot of options and is more realistic.

Then you may not know so much about computers, windows vista x64 and x32 only supports 4 gig ram if you have more than that it will not use it, it is just a waste of money...

You don't know too much about computers aswell.. Only 32-bit Windows XP and Vista (wich called x86 not x32) has the 4Gb memory limit, 64-bit XP and Vista can handle up to 128Gb memory theoretically.

the reason why this game is demanding is because you have to scale and draw the entire map... of which high bandwidth graphics is needed. Its not just about the megabytes in a graphics card, its the model itself and its total specs.

Ideally for this you need an 8600 or above nvidia card or equivilant ati card.

an Intel cpu chip or AMD cpu chip of which is dual core @ 2.0ghz or more is a good bet too :)
