Very nice streach and fallow through. Liked how your back leg stayed down with a rear foot drag. Keep your throwing arm going down. Don;t pull up. It will help with your speed overall. Keep up the good work, AJ..
what would help is to stay finished. dont pop up at the end like he did. itll keep the ball down more consistently and give him a little more power. good glove tuck though, and he does a great job of keeping his shoulders level and square to the target
@BKRichter88 , his follow threw is just needing to keep his arm going down and not pulling up. Like SFGIANTS2020 said, "don't pop up" at the end. Power, Speed, will be AJ's gift for hard work and self control.
@MYV6P Definitely not true about the leg kick. It coming out means he's driving off his back leg, more energy to home = more velocity. I can't quite tell because of the slow motion but two quick tips, don't have a pause at the top, keep the momentum going, it's great after he starts moving forward, but keep it from the start. Also keep the ball deep in the glove till seperation. Small changes...i've seen high schoolers who need ALOT more help.
at the end of the video he doesnt hold his finish and pulls his arm back up, this is bad for the muscles that help his arms decelerate, and can shoulder issues on the top outer part of the throwing shoulder, but other than that, pretty decent mechanics
What camera did you use to video his pitching? How many frames per second? If just a normal camera, how did you have it set up. The video was very clear.
@khach123 thats what I saw the first time I saw it too, especially with that front arm...can't teach 100mph though

Make the kid stop throwing from his shoulder he looses all his power

You slowed it down so you can't see the actually speed that the baseball is actually going.

@07bottlerocket07 I agree with you 100% The only thing I saw was pointing his glove side toe up instead of relaxing it but he looks great
