yo this ownsss! im 16 and play bass in my high school jazz band! this is our audition piece. any pointers? this rocks!

Well if your playing it with your school's jazz band then you are probably just going to be doing the walking bass lines. I'm still working on walking like a true jazz musician, but the best way to practice is to have a backing track of the chords and try walking using as many variations of the chords as you can; play using different octaves, maybe use some inversions too and just make sure you hit the right note on the downbeat of each chord.

Also try playing in all the keys to so you get used to using open strings. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed my video!
