  • This guy needs to bounce of the rev limiter. I wanna hear this bitch scream.

  • Sounds refined. The sound is subtle, but you can hear the boxer engine most definitely.

  • actually the prices we estimated at around 26,000 in a magazine i read

  • Thank you, SCION!!! Looking forward to driving it in the future.

  • the car is perfect

  • Why a scion tho????

  • @IpushaDpiff Because Toyota said so.

  • @ChuukeseStink Because Scion the more sportier division of Toyota needed the bump after it's fail with Tc's and Xb pos box being associated with ricers. Scion/Toyota needed a come back. In Japan, it is the Toyota gt-86.

  • its a toyota/scion with a subaru boxer?!

    awesome

  • @DYNO323 Yes. Subaru did the majority of engineering on the car, and entirely developed the engine which is shared by Scion and Subaru.

  • This thing sounds like pure rice with 200hp starting at 25K.... Your better off going with a V6 Camaro or Mustang for the same money and a 100+ more horses I know the scions lighter but still not worth it at that price point!

  • @zm9990 telling people what to do with their hard earned money OK. everyone has different taste not every cares about the horsepower big guy

  • @zm9990 i'll be laughing when your 400hp american muscle engine breaksdown after say 5 years of hard driving while the good reliable japanese engine will be as good as new :)

  • @zm9990 First of all pricing hasn't been released yet for this car. second of all this car has one of the lowest centre of gravities in the world on account of it's boxer engine meaning it has indescribably good handling. unlike the camaro which is really only good for declaring how small your penis is.

  • @zm9990 The Scion will be way more fun to drive than a V6 Camaro. Power to weight ratio is better and the Scion (and its Subaru twin) are lighter and far more tossable with better weight distribution. It's a true driver's car.

  • It's a shame its going to be $50000 US in Australia for the base model. Toyota Aus signed the own death certificate on the car here.

  • why do I have a feeling that the TC fangirls are going to make the switch to this car?

  • Meh, too rice burner like for me. Still nice car though/

  • everything is legit except... why SCION?! why not Toyota!!

  • @thomasyi Image car for Scion. The brand needs it.

  • Lovin' the tips.

  • For the tards talking about snow, front wheel drive cars are shit in snow as well. Get fucking snow tires and get studs for better results.

  • $25000 and its for a youth market? lol. Good luck trying to get a loan kids and the choice to put in a 4 Banger was a dumb choice. They sound like shit.

  • @Warpath2198 Ever heard a Subaru Boxer 4? Like the one in this car?? They rumble out better sounds than any straight six on the market. Did you not hear that thing start up with the Greddy exhaust kit?? sounds dope-a-lope IMO.

  • @TaylorB440 Absurd. You sound like one of those little kids in japanese tuning scene thinking K series are god-made motors. Any straight six on the market? All the german cars will literally throw up in your face. Greddy exhaust kit? Teenager please. Go hear N5x's inline 6 with Eisenhaus exhaust.

  • @Warpath2198 Well, if they made it $9000, then it will be a HUGE seller, but the imperialist chinks @ Toyota won't allow it to go that low, or else they will have to make parts ibn N.Korea to comphensate for the lower price. :(

  • @harris3693 "Imperialist chinks" ... Racist much?

  • What kind of wheels are those? And are those Greddy pipes?

  • needs unequal length headers

  • How much are these gonna be selling for?

  • @dannyiscool24 around 25,000 fully loaded with tax around 30,000

  • this car looks like a smaller more affordable version of the lexus lfa IMO

  • Im in love with this car but I got to agree that the stereo head unit looks like dog shit its like it was pulled from the scion tc, all it needs is more power

  • radio looks like shit just sayin :D

  • The new RICE generation!

  • That sounds SMEXY! This is the exhaust i shall grace my FR-S with

  • damn that car is sexy, glad toyota got together with subaru to make this thing.

  • subaru with scion body

  • Toyota owns scion.

  • I've got a Go-Pro watching my other Go-Pro :)

  • HA HA - look at what Hyundai started with the Genesis Coupe!! The Americans car companies, Toyota and Honda are shitting bricks - they don't have anything as cool as the cars made by these smaller companies.

  • @damrak1969 you realize that toyota owns scion an that they are also coming out with their own version on the fr-s. I think its called the gt86 or ft86.

  • @cganucheau1 I did not realize that. Glad to hear it. I've always wondered why Toyota never brought the Supra back since it had such a reputation and following.

  • the rear looks almost like a m coupe ..yet looks nice af tho

  • the hachiroku is reborn!

  • It truly would get raped by a Genesis coupe.

  • Looks kinda like a lotus and rx7 mixed

  • oh wow i was expecting it to sound like a subie

  • the Toyota Genesis lol

  • sucks it doesnt really sound like a boxer

  • It must be weird to hear a Subaru when you are driving a Toyota.

  • Facts about this car: Comes with 180HP RWD. Costing around $24,000 Dollars. Its very ugly. It's mainly for dedicated tuners.

If you're buying this car without adding any mods on it, might as well get a civic....cuz civic will be faster.

  • @jaex26 lol yeah right. firstly it has 200hp, secondly it looks way better than a civic, is RWD like you said, which also gives it way better balance and cornering capabilities. this car weighs less than a civic and has a MUCH lower center of gravity. plus i wouldnt be caught dead in a civic.

  • @jaex26 uhm. it has as much hp as a civic si (200ish), it costs about the same. and it looks a hell lot nicer.

  • @tony23zz you forgot one key fact... This is RWD

  • @snoopyalien24 I remember when the Mazda 6 came out, I think rear wheel drive.Guy put it in a ditch on the first snow day, apparently not that great for traction, unless its sunny and no water on the road. But most of us dont live in California, Texas or Arizona.

  • @cuddles6938 True, but Mazda 6 is FWD not RWD. And here in Florida, no snow either :D. Some good tires will suffice in the rain.

  • 11 people don't like cars that are BOSS!

  • doesn't sound like the typical Subaru boxer actually. maybe it's this particular exhaust system

  • hahah love the car hate that childish blue exhaust sounds like modified by a 16 year old. I bet this car will sell low numbers because it aimed at young male audience with high price.

  • this car is mostly for tuners?

  • that exhaust is stock? fuck..

  • BRZ or FRS? so this is fast? turbo? cuz I'm looking for a nice car. this is something I would like to have. who makes boxer engine?

  • @aaaachoooo1980 this particular car is the FRS with a flat 4 engine and no turbo

  • @aaaachoooo1980 Subaru made the engine. It's not FAST. It's quick though considering its' 200HP and also N/A and has a max of 2,756 lbs to push without a driver. This car is the "grandhchild" of the Toyota Sprinter Trueno "AE-86" it's not supposed to be fast in a straight line. It's purpose is to absolutely decimate in the twisties with someone skilled at the wheel.

  • Basicly its a new TC. Right?

  • @aaaachoooo1980 No. Not at all. It's based after the old Toyota Corolla AE86. So it's more like an old celica, or even the 200gt.

  • @Z480xenalt the TC is the Celica

  • AE86!

  • So expensive for something so slow and ugly, with a completely pointless back seat, sure it'll handle fine but come on, Mazda RX8 please...

  • id rather have the subie just because its a subie haha

  • Honestly, the AE86 next to it is a billion times nicer...

  • i dont know if this car alone will save scion, they should of handed this design to nissan or toyota itself. as a car itself, its ok... the boxer engine is questionable but its overall a good car. question is, will it perform for what its worth?

  • @370zlover23 boxer engine is questionable are you fuckin retarded, and why would they hand over the design that would just fuck there company up.

  • @MrMikegyo your arrogance makes me laugh, go do some research and make a reasonable debate. The Scion Fr-s/ Toyota Gt 86 is a generic copy of the Subaru BRZ, the two companies, ie Scion; which is owned by Toyota, and Subaru created this car. Hence the "boxer" engine, or more known as the H4 that derived from previous Subaru's. I questioned the "boxer" engine because of toyota's heritage, hence the AE86. Scion has been a struggling company, handing this to Toyota itself could reintroduce the AE86

  • @370zlover23 lol where did you copy and paste that from you faggot.

  • @MrMikegyo like anyone actually rights like that on youtube lol get a life

  • @MrMikegyo writes lol

  • @MrMikegyo Are you really that much of a vaginal cum dump?

  • @370zlover23 no but im pretty sure your mom is waiit ah ah aha ah.... ye she is

  • @MrMikegyo Boxer engines aren't really well know for their reliability, especially from Subaru, so yes, they are pretty questionable.

  • im a pretty tall guy like 6'5... you guys think i could drive one of these comfortably. right now im in a earlier model mustang and i am comfortable but, i really want one of these.... lol.

  • @Yungjosiff my buddy is 6'4 and drives a miata i think you will fit in this

  • @monstermiataman 6'4'' in a miata?! that's cool. lol. thanks for the reply miataman.

  • @Yungjosiff I saw a guy over 6 foot get into the car to check out if he had room. I asked him what he thought and he said he he was surpried he fit. He even hought there was enough room for him to wear a helmet in this car.

  • @MVenturasCarChannel That is AWESOME! great news and THANKS for answering my question.

  • @MVenturasCarChannel You should be fine. I sat in the BRZ (same car) and there is a decent amount of leg space, seat is tight though. You may find that the wheel does not telescope enough however.

  • toyota-subaru?

  • looks subaru-ish..

  • it kinda looks like a supra....... kinda

  • That interior is cheap as hell.

  • What exhaust is this?? Semi titanium exhaust?

  • Wish they wouldn't use the toyota Prius's tires.

  • For all you people that don't know the ft-86, frs and subaru BRZ are all made to be the same each car having a different tuning spec

  • Like if you thought the floating hair was smoke from the exhaust lol.

  • why would any1 get the scion over the Subaru

  • wow this looks almost exactly the same as the new Toyota 86 and subaru BRZ.

  • thumb up for the original AE86 right next to it =D

  • what time do you guys usually meet for the cars and coffee in Irvine?

P.S. I see great potential for this car!!

  • @blackeye09 The lot starts getting full by 7am and cars leave around 8:30-9:00. Spectator parking is by Taco Bell's home office. You will see a parking structure and follow the signs. Always something different every week.

  • @MVenturasCarChannel

    Thats awesome!!

I'am coming in from san diego, Would have to hit the road @6:00.

Do people really show up every saturday?

    I might come this weekend...

  • @blackeye09 You may want to plan it sou ypu get there at 7:00 or earlier.

  • @MVenturasCarChannel seems like it. thanks dude!

  • This isnt even a Toyota FR-S....LoL its a Toyota GT86 but nice try.

  • @mrmean510 LOL know your info before you post!!!! It's called the Scion FR-S in the states and the Toyota 86 in other parts of the world......

  • Been waiting for a car like this for awhile, wish it was just an inline 4cly rwd instead of the boxer engine but still a great car

  • id rather take that eight-six sitting next to it

  • its a subaru boxer motor enhanced by toyota...the best of both worlds!

  • Well, I think I'll try this "patience" thing and hold off on buying a car for now and wait for this seeing as it isn't that far off. This example looks excellent, the color, the wheels, exhaust. Ahh, love it.

  • honestly its not about the emblem its about the car dumb fucks..

  • @LeonStark Its a rebadged Subaru, ahem.. Oh like VW Routan minivan, its a Chrysler Town and Country Minivan with a VW logo on the front, did you say something about emblems? Buicks new Regal car is a rebadged Opel Insignia from Germany.

  • @cuddles6938 its not like i dont know, like the Cadillac cts coupe being a square corvette.. bro chill the fuck out.. this is co developed car, there not being lazy like many american companies just copying other cars directly and rebadging them as something different.. 300c/ dodge charger... hey next you think about saying stupid shit, just keep it to yourself you wont be embarrassed..next time please refrain from comparing this to a minivan, specially with such a stupid analogy.

  • @LeonStark I like how you say american car companies then you only name one....

  • @LeonStark Your responses are so immature. And who said anyone was upset, I simply stated that other companies rebadge other companies cars and sell them as there own to try to get market share. I dont think we need to grow up, you sound mad at anyone who can speak English and type it good as well. Your comment made no sense whatsoever other than having nothing better to do. Educate thine self, then speak. And I am not your "bro".

  • the name scion just ruins it should of released as a toyota other wise nice

  • @xarnoldx10 They probably will release it as a toyota. The Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S and Toyota GT86 are the exact same car.

  • @Jordan5066 They aren't the EXACT same car, they all have different modifications to them, if they were the same car they would just have the Scion and the Toyota.

  • @Mattdude411 Yeah I was meaning it in the sense like a Chevy Cobalt is pretty much a Pontiac G5.

  • so how much is it going to be like fucking 60,000 dollars? just as unaffordable as the fucking wrx and sti?

  • @tashtan1 since when are wrx sti cost that much?

  • @tashtan1 more like close to the mid 30, and wrx arent that expensive... when you really think about it, they price it around most mid-range cars around it class. It all depends on what options you add on it.

  • I'm hoping being 6'1 i can fit in this thing...

  • Putting this car under the scion name will be the death of this car

    thumbs up if you agree

  • @jakubgt1 This car is designed for the guy who knows cars. it doesnt matter what the brand name is, the car is still the same and their target market knows that

  • i dnt like it for some damn reason scions dnt floow!!!

come on its like a wanna b bootleg version of a austin martin!!

just look at the rear end nd the roof nd it looks like they took a new tc trunk nd just slapped it on there o it could b a lil cheaper!!!

  • subaru engine???

  • @renetony29 yes its the subaru BRZ rebadged as a scion

  • @skid432 No, it's a Toyota 86 rebadged as a Scion. The Subaru is also a rebadged 86, with tiny facial additions. All credit should be reserved for Toyota. All Subaru did, is provide a good, but asthmatic engine for the return of Toyota sports cars. It's enough I guess to keep costs low, and I'm sure it has some potential, but it's deffinately the elephant in the room in terms of oddities.

  • @enigmaPL actually subaru provided the engine, drive train, frame, a good deal of the design. toyota did help with the design and suspension. but its more subaru than any thing.

  • @enigmaPL and the subaru boxer engine is and amazing light weight engine. i've seen many boost their power for the base 200( give or take a fex hp.) to 450-500 hp. a simple exause and chip can give that specific engine a good 20-30 hp gain. ad after market injectors and better spark plugs and you can increase that to a 40 hp gain.

  • @skid432 The engine isn't horrible, but I could easily see the Exiege 1.8L inline 4 Toyota engine being used instead, perhaps with a bump to 2.0L, with or without the supercharger, as more suitable. As per the car design, you may want to double check your information. Yes Subaru did help, but not as much as you claim.

  • i have uel headers and magnaflow mufflers on my forester with the na 2.5L, first hand experience says that with similar things on this car itll sound beastly

  • ...disappointed that its a Scion. I wish it was still marketed and a toyota. Scion just doesnt have enough Background for me. I know its owned by toyota, But they should just let scion fade away.

  • @Nashtynate27 The thing is, since in today's times, Toyota has made a name for itself as an eco-family friendly brand, and anyone NOT educated on Toyota's history, would far from show interest in a toyota sports car. That being said, the rest of us who have a clue, find that notion preposterous, but 80%+ of people are clueless on the topic of cars, so if Toyota is to come back strong, they need to make sure it will sell. Those who know, know its a Toyota regardless.

  • i want UEL headers NOW BITH!!!

  • @NinjaPl33z Oh sit!

  • It reminds me more of an Mr2

  • im still use to hearing the turbo spool with the boxer engine....it sounds like somethings missing none the less it sounds amazing

  • @lauj87 Judging by how some boxers sound with a REAL exhaust thrown on...It shouldn't be too bad without the turbo...But yeah...It does sound like it's missing that extra oomph.

    Turbo kits coming soon ;)

  • This will be the first car you'll ever own where you can buy TRD and STi parts for!

  • please tell me these are rear wheel drive...

  • @mrzachsa1 yes

  • @mrzachsa1 it is.

  • 4-AGE NOISES

  • boxer engine without the rumble fuck you toyota/scion

  • Looks like a shit corolla

  • @socalpimp1974 LOL how does that look like a 4 door car with an obvious difference?

  • it SOUNDS LIKE 4AG-E

  • looks like the subaru BRZ

  • Comment removed

  • Why on earth does it have a SUBARU in collaboration with Toyota BOXER engine????

  • @SUPERFORMIAN As a suby fan I am just as disappointed that it has a subaru boxer. I can understand some collaboration, but this is sadly clone cars with different badging.

  • Yeah, clone cars are no good. But I guess way to resolve the issue with the Toyota GT86 here is to just replace the engine with a completely Toyota engine, or a Supra engine if it would fit. But it might not because of the Supra's elongated engine bay.

  • @SUPERFORMIAN Toyota and Subaru developed this car together. Toyota GT-86 = Scion FRS = Subaru BRZ

  • Tis a tragedy...

  • Jesus christ this car is beautiful

  • @jeep661cWhy argue witth ricers or retards. fuck this troll.

  • The bigger rims and exhaust tips make the car. The factory effed up there.

  • @mechichi666 Too bad you just compared a Veloster to a GT 86....dumbass lol

  • Too bad it came out at the same time as the Hyundai Veloster. The FR-S is way too ugly and cheap looking compared to Veloster. Congratulations to Toyota for another gay piece of shit.

  • @mechichi666 lol veloster is as cheap and as ugly so you're wrong. what a dumbass :D

  • @mechichi666 fr-s isn't ugly and they are different types of cars

  • @mechichi666 The veloster is not a 2 door coupe though, it's like a 3 door hatchback. It's also not made for speed or anything, this one should be about 6 seconds 0-60, which isn't great for a sports car but it's decent...

  • @mechichi666 its not suppose to be compared to the veloster...they are nothing alike

  • Comment removed

  • if i get one, im gonna make it look like the concept

  • Great. Now I'm going to see hundreds of these things driving around on the streets who think they are herraFlushJDMtuners, like all the other Scion Tc's I see. Why didn't they give it the toyota badge...

  • What I like so much about this car is how near everyone underestimates the FR-S/BRZ potential.

It truly follows the AE86's reputation to be the underdog and shows what people really know about cars. Can't wait to test drive and really see what this car can do.

  • Not many people around that car, they probably didnt know it was a brand new car

  • COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. nothing good i can say about the car other then its pretty.
