Ive played along side him for 2 years and i know the kid is a team leader with all the talent to be a solid linebacker at ND. He has the size and speed to really develop into a player and open alot of eyes. The sky is the limit for him

actually we have four espn150 recruits. i don't understand how they put cierre wood at #23. i think espn has a vendetta out for notre dame. they raped carlo, only rating him a 78. tyler stockton is rated at #32. anthony lalota is not even in it. i think mark may's idiocracy has rubbed on the espn recruiting staff. they rated alex bullard as the 35th best guard, while every other site has him in the top 7 for his position. this drives me freakin nuts. any domers please comment about this.
With Carlo's committment, that makes 8 ESPN 150 committments for ND ALREADY! We had 10 in last year's class. And there is still like 6 months or so till signing day i think (isn't it in Feb.?)

Don't misread me, my friend. I want to see him succeed. The reality is clear however. More talent in NJ than any other southern state?? Maybe if you said California, you might have an arguable point. Georgia, Louisiana, Oklahoma all have first class high school programs that leaves Div I football coveting their players. New Jersey? As John McEnroe said better than I, "You cannot be serious!" The SEC is the dominant football conference mostly because it keeps its kids home.
No question, Saul. These are great, up and coming players. But I think you would agree, far and few between. I grew up in Pa, no comparison in programs by and large. Emphasis and intensity are night and day. Can't wait till the season starts!

Having lived in Florida in the 90's, I observed a lightning fast, brutally strong defense that remained 100% African American. Also ND is 21-13 vs the SEC all time. ND has not played Kentucky, Arkansas, Miss St., or Auburn. If you want to count Georgia Tech ND is 27-6-1 vs them.
I hope the kid does well. My son, who is a varsity player here in Texas, looked at the clip and was impressed. However, he mentioned a kid on his team that hit just as hard in the same breath. Additionally, he said that the speed of the game up north does not match the intensity of what the south provides. Both of my sons are veteran football and baseball players from Florida and Texas. The south provides a whole different level of competition of which much of the north is not familiar.
If you can ball, you can ball - I don't care if you're playing against small, slow Asian kids in high school. Instincts, work ethic, intensity all go into making a successful football player at any level. I've seen "speedy" (non-white) players from Texas, Cali and F-LA go to ND and not do squat. Slow white boys like AJ Hawk and Chris Spielman made pretty decent LBs in college. Give the kid a chance before we write him off, huh.
