This was a wise decision by the leaders of the DPRK. It shows openess on their part. Although their stance towards the US is definitely understandable, it can make it hard for their supporters in the west, such as myself, to defend them. This move has the potential to make them slightly easier to defend. I hope to see more moves like it.

Now the people of North Korea will receive unrelated news in their country of the presidential elections in the United States (like other countries with AP). Elections where the masses believe they're voting in change but in reality are changing only the exterior of the status quo. They'll also get propaganda such as WMDs, incubator babies, atrocities used pretext for making war with weaker nations. Plus giving up freedom for security because of the terrorists boogeyman.
